The customer service is on point! I didn't wait more than a couple hours for a call back and from there... it was consistent follow through. Duncan and his team have so far created a beautiful new driveway for me and more work is underway. He operates his business with good business ethic as well as integrity, always keeping his customers budget and interests as a priority. He is a family owned and well operated company and that is something I love to support. He goes above and beyond and does not waste your time or his. I would recommend Castros to anyone on Big Island looking for any work on their property. Duncan and his crew have been such a blessing to me. Highly recommended!

WOW. I am a new homeowner in SeaView, Puna area. I found…read moreJonah's company on a bulletin board by our mail boxes. I'm SO glad I found him. We had an arranged tree removal with another person, only to be called twice for delay reasons. We then called Jewel Tree & Timber. Jonah walked our lots and we spent time to review issues and determine what was best. The day came for our removal and the team was spot on time, which I did not expect for the Hawaii area lifestyle. From the moment of arrival to the end of the very long day, these guys were SPOT on. They know their stuff and guided very tall trees to fall safely away from our home. It was wickedly wild to see these massive objects fall to the ground and then feel the entire earth shake from the weight. I'm so impressed and since this area is non insurable we decided to protect our investment the best way possible and removing trees too close to the house and those shedding too much on to our catchment tank was mandatory. If I could describe the effort, the body strength, the tenacity of this crew to do as much as they did, quickly and efficiently, I really could not describe it in words, properly. I can only say that I am impressed. Would I use Jonah's company again, YES in a heart beat and no question. Why am I leaving a Yelp comment, because I normally don't do this, but I really want to promote this company to anyone questioning tree removal. Very fair on price for all the work done, very fair. They deserve good reviews because they did a job well done. Thank you to Jonah, thank you to all his team for the work done on our home and taking care of all the details, far too complicated for anyone to attempt on their own and I would highly suggest that trees do need to come down by a professional crew like these guys.
