Great performance! We hired him as entertainment at my son's backyard birthday party In Cambridge. He was easy to work with and had great communication. Had my seven year old and his friends rolling with laughter! Would certainly recommend! read more

Jungle Jim's - Jungle Jim - Magicians Near Me

This is our second time hiring Jungle Jim for a birthday party and again he blew us away! One party had 70 kids, the next 10! For both size audiences he was amazing. The kids and adults were doubled over laughing and smiles were non-stop. Jim has a way of keeping the kids moving, engaged and on the edge of their seats the whole time. He is a master. Jim also is very easy to work with in terms of booking and coordination. A true professional. We highly recommend him! read more

You may not know this, but Jim is the original creator of Star Wars. Not that other dude. It was Jim that created it. At least the balloon version. Yep. Balloon sabers, balloon Jedi floating balls, and soundtrack to boot. I had the opportunity to watch Jim perform at a private birthday party for a bunch of 4-7 year-old kids. I've seen many perform, but to adults, it always comes across as an exercise in pepto bismal facial screen tests with fake smiles. Jim is the real thing. He's an artist- a kid artist. I'm the most skeptical parent this side of town, with 3 rambunctious kids and an annoying niece, and worse, the annoying brother-in-law that comes with my niece. The fact that Jim was able to keep the kids, including my ants-in-the-pants son, AND the aforementioned annoying brother-in-law in smiles, was an incredible feat. More smiles for them meant more time for myself to raid the buffet table. Great with balloons, balloon sculptures, and the most original kid activities I've seen in a long time to keep the munchkins happy. Definately doing all my kid gigs from now on. read more

Best Performer Around! Seriously, I have attended a few parties that Jungle Jim has performed at both as Jim and as Santa and there is nobody else around here that will entertain both kids & adults more than Jim. In this zany world of performers, what most impresses me about Jim is his professionalism. He is trust-worthy, clever and down right talented. I highly recommend Jungle Jim and all his endeavors. Do NOT hesitate to work with Jim. I am truly a life long fan. read more

I have seen jungle Jim amaze both kids and adults alike. I would highly recommend his act to anyone. I have no idea what Jennifer O is talking about Sounds like a jealous competitor. read more

Jungle Jim performed at my daughter's birthday party last weekend, and the show was absolutely phenomenal. I have never seen my daughter express so much laughter and pure joy, as I saw expressed on her face, when she was participating on stage as the 'star' of the show. Jim Manning has a wonderful way with kids, and he keeps them focused, entertained and engaged for the duration of the show. After the show, he created individualized balloons for each of the twenty kids, who patiently waited for their turn with Jungle Jim. As a parent of a three year old and a five year old, I have been to my fair share of kids parties, and I have seen all types of different entertainment. Jungle Jim's balloon/magic show easily topped them all. The kids were thrilled and the parents loved the show as well. (Jim sprinkles in a few jokes for the adults) I am really hopeful that we can arrange an encore performance for my younger daughter and her friends when she turns five. Thank you Jim!!! Jungle Jim performed at our local Friends of the Library event and EVERYONE was raving about him! He had all ages enthralled and laughing -- 2 year olds all the way to adults. Jim does a great job managing the raucous crowd of kids -- keeps them engaged, knows when to switch bits, and everyone had their hands up when he asked for volunteers! And I won't give away the best part but he has a grand finale that you have to see for yourself to believe! We would love to have Jim back to do one of his many other themed shows as well! read more

Jungle Jim was such a hit with the kids and adults at my son's birthday party, we are planning to bring him back for another run during the summer. From start to finish, he kept a room full of people ranging in age from 3 to 65 laughing with appropriate humor but really entertaining for all. All the pictures from the party prove that he had their undivided attention and there was plenty of hilarity. As mentioned in previous reviews, his balloons are fantastic! One aspect I really appreciated was that he made the birthday boy the star without making him uncomfortable about all the attention. He even worked our older child into the act and somehow got her prepared for her role in the short time before he started his show. A total professional from scheduling to exit. We look forward to having him back with his Star Wars performance. read more

Wow! You do get what you pay for. My son has been obsessed with Star Wars since Kindergarten, and now that he is a big first grader, I wanted to get him a cool Star Wars party. After doing my research, I came across Jungle Jim, and his Star Wars parties. Wow they looked terrific, could they really be that easy? I booked the party about 4 months ahead of time, yes I am a little Type A. A little strange, but you book with a receptionist, who does not just work for Jungle Jim's, she lives somewhere in the Central time zone, but whatever, she was very nice, and accommodating to all my questions. I actually changed the day/time of party twice and she didn't even laugh at me. So the day of the party, I have 16 ( 6year old boys) plus my daughter, and not one parent stayed! Jim came right on time. From the moment he started, I knew he must have been a teacher in a prior life, he knew exactly what to say to the few "hyper" boys, how to get the boys to listen, and amazingly all of them listened and cooperated. The party was AWESOME! I won't spoil the surprises, but the boys got to do a duel with the Jedi at the end, and it was the highlight of the party. So fun. We also gave out balloon light sabers instead of goody bags, and everyone loved them. Book Jim, he is the best! read more

Skeptical about how awesome a balloon guy can be? Banish your doubt. Affable, gregarious, and awkwardness-free, jungle Jim added a magical element to our recent workplace picnic. Like a good cartoon, he was able to make adults and kids laugh easily. It left me considering how I might fit him in to upcoming celebrations, or if I could wrangle an invitation to the under- 12-set birthday circuit. Oh, and the balloons were phenominal, not your run of the mill dogs or flowers. Jungle Jim is a big talent, and gets a big five stars. read more

I saw Jim perform at a Starlight event in Boston a few months ago, and he is just phenomenal! He was really interactive with the kids, and there was not a single participant that was not enamored by Jim's balloons. I would highly recommend Jim at any event, especially involving children. If I had kids of my own, I would hire Jim in a heartbeat for the next big event. read more

Jungle Jim is great! I've seen him in action with kids, dressed up as Santa, and making balloon caricatures of couples in love...his balloon talents extend far beyond what you would expect from a "children's entertainer". I highly recommend him. read more

Sorry Delayed in writing...I have to give JIM the BIG THUMBS UP! Jim did an event in my store in Cambridge and had the crowd (even the adults) roaring with laughter. He is engaging, humerous.....and above all the children left the event wanting MORE AND MORE. Just goes to show you, truth can always be found in the smile of a child. Thanks again JIM! We want you back! Halloween is around the corner....lets plan another event! read more

Having a 6 year old means you go to a lot of birthday parties, it like social life part deux. So I think I have some experience in this arena, as do many parents....I have done some parties for my son at home and some at venues and this experience was by far the best! Bottom line the kids had a great time and my son was the "star" of his birthday party and shouldn't we all be stars on our birthday? Jim had the kid's undivided attention from begining to end with (and I'd like to stress this part) good positive communication and FUN! We did the Jedi training it was a blast and the ballons were terrific! For me as the host it was great because Jim helped me make the party flow smoothly which made me look like a star as well, to all the parents who came with their kids (who all wanted to know who he was and how I found him) but most importantly to my son. Thanks Jim! read more

You will be 110% satisfied with your booking of Jungle Jim for a birthday party. The stuff that this dude can make out of balloons is absolutely amazing. He does an incredible job of keeping all the kids' attention during the show allowing the parents a much needed break. Jungle Jim is quite a character. He'll keep kids and adults alike entertained. read more

Jim is an amazing entertainer! Whether he's making balloon creations for a group of adults at a brewery event, teaching young ones how to "use the force" at a birthday party, or bringing fun to science and language arts at community events; Jim is THE guy. I have seen him in action in all of these settings and have never been disappointed. I have even recommended him to the PTO of the elementary school where I work because they bring in various enrichment activities/entertainers each year! Jim will exceed your expectations for your event, whether it be for celebratory birthday fun or a school/community sponsored educational event!! read more

I lived in Boston (somewhat recently) and was building out a small company of my own. During that time, I had the pleasure of getting to know Jim as a fellow small business owner. He seemed like a good guy with a passion for his work and a commitment to making his parties/events fun for all. I assumed that this was par for the course for other entertainers in the area. After calling around and comparing, I was clearly mistaken. I booked him for several events, and simply put, all I have to say is this: As a businessman, Jim is an honest and true professional. As an entertainer, he's engaging, dynamic, and great with kids/adults alike. In short, Jungle Jim's should be on your short list of entertainers to call on in the Boston area. I'm giving him 4 stars though for two reasons: 1) last I heard, he only had a couple of party themes - they were good, but he needs to add more to his repetoire 2) his weekend time slots were limited - I guess the good news was that he was in high demand! read more

Jungle Jim is wonderful. He's amazing with children, but also offers fun gift options for adults. My husband and I had him create balloon caricatures of ourselves before our wedding. They were completely whimsical and made everyone smile. Jim is extremely professional and dependable. I recommend him to everyone - old and young. read more

Jim is such a great performer. He plays the best Santa I've ever seen. His Jedi birthday parties are great, the way he entertains and engages the children is amazing. His balloon artistry is phenominal. They way he can make any shape in no time at all is terrific. I've even seen him make a lifesize replica of a gentlemen. It was truly amazing!! read more

Hi, I met Jungle Jim (Jim) a few months back and became immediately impressed. It would be difficult to find a more dedicated and talented person. I can speak on Jim's behalf on two levels, first as an entertainer and second as an artist. I have seen Jungle Jim preform several children shows over the few months. When I don't think he can make the next show better than the last, he seems to find a way. Most resent, Jim has turned me into a balloon figure (pretty cool) and did so with a ton of detail. Jim has won me over with his talent and "off the charts" desire to make each show his best performance. It is with my highest recommendation, that Jungle Jim is part on your next event. read more

We read reviews and invited Jim for our kids birthday party. He is AWESOME... even entertained the adults with his jokes. I would recommend him anyday! Thanks for making our day special. read more

Jungle Jim is terrific! We had such a great time, and Jon was delighted--it was all he could talk about for days and days. It will be a great source of fond memories for my son. He and all his friends had a blast. I recommend him highly to anyone and everyone!!! read more

Jim came to my house for my son's 6th birtday and did the Star Wars Jedi Knight party- HUGE hit!!! Jim was AWESOME! I would recommend him to anyone. And, working with his behind-the-scences manager, Carolyn, was a pleasure- she made everything so easy to schedule. At the party, my newly 6 year old son and his friends were 100% captivated by Jim and truly believed he was a Jedi knight. Thank you Jim!! read more

Jim was wonderful!! He performed at my son's communion this weekend and the kids had a blast! He was entertaining and kept the kids attention at all times. Jungle Jim made me a birthday party hero! Jim came to our home to perform his Jedi training show at my son's 5th birthday party last week. It was a superb experience from start to finish. I found Jim online when I was searching for party ideas and emailed him to find out more. His assistant emailed me back immediately and was amazingly professional - in helping me visualize how the party would work, explaining everything to me and working with me to customize the party for our group and scheduling. From inquiry to payment, the customer experience was far more than you might expect. As for the performance, I can easily say that every child and parent present were blown away. My husband couldnt believe it. Jim had a group of rather hyper young boys completely mesmerized and the birthday boy was laughing the whole time. If you've ever gone to stage shows at Disney or Universal Studios, this really was at that level. Jim is a true talent - the quality of the show and his gift with children far exceeded my expectations. One note - the show is quite long when you think about it - 1 hour - which really is a great value in terms of time occupying your young guests. These fidgety 4-6 year olds had no problem sitting through it. In closing, when I asked my son how he liked it afterwards, he gushed " I fell in LOVE with that Jedi guy!!" Jim was lovely to deal with and a total pro. I would recommend him with complete confidence to any private or corporate event. The whole experience was seamless. Several parents asked me for his card! THANK YOU Jim!! read more

Wow! I saw Jungle Jim perform at a library show in SC and it was incredible! My 2 boys and I LOVED IT! I think they actually laughed the entire show and my cheeks hurt from smiling! He is so creative, funny, and positive. The entire group of kids stayed engaged and I loved how he made an effort to involve the whole audience as well as many volunteers. I'm a teacher so I was very impressed with his ability to hold the attention of so many kids and make it so much fun. He added jokes for the adults as well as kids but also improvised with the audience. I highly recommend his shows and we will be looking for his next show so we can attend!!!! read more

Fun, family friendly entertainment for everyone! Jim performed at our annual staff appreciation event and was incredibly popular. Folks involved in planning the event were skeptical that a balloon artist would be the right fit for our company. Turns out, Jungle Jim was a huge hit! Jim did balloon twisting for us and had a long line the whole time. When it came time to leave, he did a great job making sure no one felt left out and was able to make a few quick, small balloon sculptures for a two young children at the last minute. He is funny and works well with a diverse crowd of adults and children. We got tons of positive feedback from other staff saying that they loved the balloon guy and thought it was one of the best events they'd been to in years. I would highly recommend Jungle Jim! I know he would be a great birthday party idea for kids in the Boston area. I hope to have him perform for my nephew when he visits. read more
