This is a great, intimate gym that gives a lot of focus to the individual athletes. The competition team instills great values, but isn't overly programmed or intimidating to the athletes of diverse levels. (Said another way: I don't think my daughter is likely to be an olympian, but she can take a lot of pride in what she learns and achieves at New Vibe.) Violet cares very much about her students and the coaches she selects to work with them. There are other gyms that are bigger and have been around longer, but the equipment at New Vibe is clean, well-kept, and designed to inspire the kids. A very playful yet professional atmosphere, which is perfect for our family.

I have been a customer for a few years. I told them the day they charged me for my next 2 months…read morethat my daughter was needing to take a break cause she wasn't really feeling it right now. They told me sorry we charged you already and won't refund you it's their policy to never return money after it's charged and in their contract. So I said that it was bad form for them to keep the ridiculous $250 money knowing they just charged me and they knew I wouldn't be coming. They said if I do that for you I would have to for everyone. Outrageous! Also be careful to read their very fine printed 28 page contract with a thousand rules, that are over the top. very aggressive teachers and very strict nonsensical ruled contract. First of all it should be case by case. Second off all they being a new small business should know retaining and being fair to clients keeps a business going. Acting like this and being rude on the phone or being greedy about their needing to keep money is very bad model. Never in my life have I ever had this happen with any company large or small. They always return the money they they charge while it's still pending. Say "thanks for your business and we hope you return soon." I told her I had brought her a few clients even to her business and being a loyal customer should have been enough to act smart about her business. I mean she is a very young owner and needs to learn the world; she's only 25 I think, but she should know better. I told her I would let people know her business model, and then she said that was a threat. People need to know the truth! So here I am telling you don't waste your money there are better places to go.

He, and his entire staff are so much more focused and honed into the kids, than what we've seen at a couple other gymnastics studios. Though we liked LASG, the drive to Culver City was too far, esp after school when traffic blows. And Broadway gymnastics is crazy chaotic. After we tried a few classes there, we found that the kids are not really under the watchful eye of the instructors because they are too impacted. We took our daughter out. It was too expensive and our child wasn't getting the kind of attention needed to be safe, let alone develop or master skills. Enter UCLA Bruins Gymnastics. We are so glad we found it. The studio is clean (not like the other two places), the equipment is very well maintained. And there are ample coaches for the kids. In fact, the student to teacher ratio is something to boast in and of itself. Add to that the very reasonable pricing and the quality of the program that Randy has put together, and you have an ACE OF GYMS for KIDS. Bravo.

Everyone was extremely kind and helpful, the space looked great for 8 year olds and I'm glad it was fairly close. We decided to hold their bday party and it was FANTASTIC!! The children had 90min of floor time with 30min to eat afterwards. The kids were excited by all the fun stunts, rolls, jumps, and climbs...many wanted to get back on the floor. During the party, the staff was superb! We ordered the service on us add on and just sat back and let them do their thing....I HIGHLY suggest you take advantage of this service, you won't regret it. We were able to bring in our own food, drinks and adult beverages. This is an event where parents can drop off if needed, but most stayed and were really impressed with the facility. We were their first bday party since this location's opening and it ran extremely smooth. I was amazed by helpful and engaged all the staff was with the children. I also appreciate their openness to feedback. We did the theme on us package add on and it could have been a little better. They acknowledged and made it right. But overall, this was a HIT with everyone...kids loved it, parents enjoyed it, we were all pleased! The only downside is parking. Their lot is on the smaller side (6 cars max) and Ellis Ave was already full at the start of the party. I'd say check it out if you are considering..we need more options like this in the area and have to support these business.

My 9-year-old daughter started private sessions with Francesca a month ago, and we've already seen…read morea remarkable transformation. Our child is in a pre-professional ballet program and has needed to heighten her arabesque, as well as become stronger and more stable in her turns -- especially as she prepares to compete in one of the most elite ballet competitions in the world. Most people assume flexibility is the key to ballet, but they don't know that strength is also a key component. The best dancers are as flexible as they are strong -- they go hand in hand. In four short weeks (with only one lesson a week), we've seen a noticeable difference in our child's arabesque as she's able to go significantly higher. Her balance has also gotten much stronger because of the work she's done with Francesca. Every week Francesca challenges our daughter with a variety of exercises to help her achieve her goals. This helps her to not become bored and keeps her motivated. Our child also likes that Francesca doesn't just tell her that everything she's doing is wonderful; she earns Francesca's "brava" and you can see her confidence grow every time Francesca does tell her she did a good job. Francesca pays the utmost attention to every detail as her client does every single rep of every single exercise she has them do, so they learn to do everything properly. Proper alignment and range of motion results in better results quicker. We are in awe of how much stronger our daughter has gotten in such a short amount of time, and with every session, we are so grateful for all the work Francesca does with her. The other thing to consider for your child (or yourself) is injury avoidance. Ballet is not easy on the joints, and our child is still growing. If she wants to dance for the rest of her life, she's going to need a body that can sustain that level of physicality. We know that by giving her time with Francesca to build her endurance, strength, and confidence, we are ultimately giving her the gift of a lifetime of movement and belief in what she is capable of. So whether it's for the love of your kid or the love of yourself, treat them to time with Francesca. It will be one of the best things you've ever done.
