Six weeks after I bought the bike I brought it to be serviced at Motoden. Turns out, the bike that I had bought was faulty with extreme dangerous wear and tear and the garage that I purchased the bike from declined to take any responsibility. As a student, the bill I was faced with shortly after purchasing the bike was enough to make me cry! Motoden saved the day. It took a few days for me to try to sort out the warranty and speak with the other garage, but Motoden stored my bike while I attempted to sort the problem. When the garage declined all responsibility, Motoden helped me to sort my bill so that it was far more manageable. I am so grateful to know a company like Motoden as they were extremely supportive throughout this awful process and without them I probably would have thrown by scooter away! I wish that I had bought a new bike from them. All of the staff are always customer focused and knowledgeable. I could not be more appreciative to have a company like Motoden on my side. We had a fantastic experience here. We were visiting London from the US. My daughter uses a…read morewheelchair, and she punctured a tire on something sharp in the street. We limped into Lunar Cycles on the flat tire and the guys took care of us right away. Wheelchair inner tubes are slightly different from bicycle inner tubes but they had the correct tube to replace the bad one. They cleaned up the bad tire, taped the inside of the wheel, and installed a new inner tube. Then they disassembled the other tire and taped it up as well. They had a lot of work going on (it's a busy little shop) but they bumped her to the front of the queue, got us fixed up, and on our way in no time. You see, I'm an avid cycle user (I'm avoiding the term cyclist as I'm not the spandex wearing kind) yet when it comes to bike maintenance, I'm a total dud. Case in point: I cycled 3000km from northern Germany to the heel of Italy and yet I still don't know how to fix a flat. And so I need a bike shop that I can pop into for any minor issue...like a flat or even lubricating the chain. The moment I sat foot into Lunar Cycles, I knew I was in good and judgement free hands. My experience thus far has been exactly as I'd hoped for: everyone I've encountered has been super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Then Rob can't find the piece and starts to get angry with me as if I was the reason they lost the piece. Then tells me to take a new part, to pay and never come back. What kind of customer service is this. Just by the way Rob reacted made me feel like I was scammed and how Rob maybe never replaced the part. I was once told this place was a bit pricey, but having used a variety of garages around south…read morelondon, I have to say that: a) they are no more expensive than any other garage, and b) they do seem to be the best. I have to add that I drive a Vespa, and they do seem to specialise in Piaggio bikes, so I can't speak for other bike users. In my experience they're quick, fix the problem (which sounds obvious but doesn't always happen some places) and don't take the mickey with the bill (again not a given). For my money, they do seem to be the premier scooter repair place around.
