Giacomo and Marianna , the owners of this Bed & Breakfast, made us feel like family. They made sure that we had a exceptional stay here. Four days of R&R that my wife and I truly deserved. Living in California is a blessing, but once in a while one must escape and enjoy an experienced that is memorable and makes you want to return. San Felice del Benaco is not on the American radar. The people that stay in the surrounding places and dine in the local restaurants are from Holland and Germany. Of course Italians from the large cities, like Milano, do come to Garda Lake to escape the sounds of the city to the sound of birds singing. The renovated historic farmyard is hold in a sleek and modern but still cozy design. The rooms (double and triple rooms) are spacious, clean, and all have beautiful wooden ceilings and come with modern bathrooms. The property contains a beautiful garden where you can enjoy a bottle of wine or just back out to read a book. Restaurants are available in a 5-mile/ 8km radius. Moreover Soave is a great location for daily excursions to Verona, Venice, Lake Garda and other places of interest in the vicinity. + Service/Host Christian the innkeeper is attentive and friendly. He is forthcoming and tries to make your stay as nice as possible. He is a wine enthusiast and loves to give recommendations for wine tasting and daily activities. In contrary to a typical Italian breakfast that contains of dry cookies or croissants and coffee you get fresh breakfast rolls or bread (on Sundays), cold meat, cheese, juice, yoghurt, fresh fruits, jam, nutella, cereals, homemade cakes (awesome), and different choices of excellent coffee at the Antica Corte! Overall the Antica Corte is a lovely retreat off the beaten path and comes with an affordable price tag of around EUR 80 per night, incl. breakfast! I highly recommend Alessia's and Christian's B&B and hope to be able to return ASAP! + quaint small B&B, + attentive & friendly innkeeper, + rustic with a modern touch Credit cards accepted!

A very nice place once you get inside. It's just a few steps off a Main Street but the entrance is…read moreoff of a sort of alleyway that doesn't give the greatest first impression. Once inside though, this place is old school elegant looking with a very nice high ceilinged sitting area just off the lobby and a great little semi hidden bar area. Rooms are average size but with all the modern amenities such as an in room safe, fridge, TV, nice bathroom, full length mirror and even a small balcony. There are other nice touches in the room as well including wainscoting and some elegant details in the paint or wallpaper. Windows are double pane and do a solid job at absorbing sound and they even have the ubiquitous roll down European shutters if you want total privacy. In our room we appreciated the latter two as we were on the 1st floor (2nd floor in the US) and the alleyway/driveway was just below us. It wasn't terribly noisy but it is a minor pedestrian traffic corridor and supply/delivery trucks arrive fairly early and use the passageway. A higher floor room would definitely mitigate that as an issue so if you're a light/late sleeper maybe request something higher up. It appears that there used to be a Scottish pub right across the alley but it seems shuttered now (summer 2018) that could be a plus or minus depending on your bent . Staff are top notch here and the front counter folks we dealt with were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They all seemed to speak at least 3 languages (Italian, German and English) very well and were always very happy to help or accommodate any need we had however big or small. Overall this is quite a nice place and fairly centrally located near plenty of other places and things to see in Verona. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it highly.

I was ill with food poisoning, and they couldn't have been kinder. They let me stay past check out and brought me tea and looked after me. They also have a lovely breakfast (which was not the cause of the food poisoning!). We had a wonderful big room with two balconies. I took one star away because there are no towel racks in the bathroom and the room had three small twin beds. It is big enough for a queen sized and two twins for a perfect "family room." It was newly renovated, so perhaps they aren't finished. I hope my comments help make the room perfect for a family. I would definitely stay here again.

I was mistreated at the front desk of this hotel. As I have read several reviews (tripavisor,...)…read moreof costumers complaining about the same pattern of mistreatment, and as it seems that all complains point to recepcionists, (in my case, night shift of Thursday June 6th, at 21:00) I have decided to warn you. Although being a receptionist is a relatively simple task, it certainly requires certain qualities. The costumer asks questions related to the trade, like when breakfast will be served, where is located the dinning room, some directions of local attractions or a good place to have dinner. You do not expect that the receptionist refuses to answer, or being given wrong or confusing information. Even less expected is the experience of being verbally abused. On the good side, the hotel is centrally located, rooms are simple but clean and breakfast is OK, with efficient waitresses. Overpriced, you could find better options nearby (plenty of good hotels in the same street). Costumers paid good money for using your premises. They do not deserve being mistreated. Properly addressing this issue would certainly enhance the value proposition of your business.

The Casimiro sits right beside the lake in Portese (Considered to be a very romantic part of lake…read moreGarda), and the port of Portese. Reception on arrival was very friendly and helpful. If you want to travel around the lake, the best way is by ferry, but unfortunately for the hotel, Ferries run from the port very rarely. The accommodation is very well kept with nothing to complain about apart from the size of the bin in the room. Also, the public rooms of the hotel are just as well kept and are easy to get around. Service is excellent. Staff are very friendly and speak good English. The bar staff pride themselves in there service and if there is a drink you would like that isn't on the menu they will be willing to attempt to make it. We had a very interesting white Russian (Made incorrectly but still very close in taste). Meals are buffet style and usually there is a lot of variety. Wine is on tap, as well as fizzy drinks and soda water. There is plenty of seating and great views accross the lake (But somewhat restricted). the hotel has disabled access with a lift. There are 2 outdoor pools that are well kept and an indoor pool. The hotel run a strange opening time on the pools which are open in the morning, close mid day and don't reopen again until 15:00. There is a sauna and Turkish bath which I did not try but when I went to enquire, nobody was manning the desk (this is a separate desk to reception). The brochure stated that there was a beach with this hotel. Technically there is a beach, but most of the time (Depending on tide) this is mostly covered. The most of a beach I saw was about a metre long and was entirely pebbles and very slippy stones further out (I wouldn't personally call it safe). Overall I had a great experience staying in the Casimiro. There are some amazing views and some very interesting places to visit, with markets in the area's around the lake, Water sports (But these are mainly concentrated at the very top of the lake), plenty of castles and culture. I only give it 4 stars because of the lack of ferries and the pool timings.

The price is reasonable considering you are in a prime location. We took the train from Bolzano Italy and walked from the train station to the hotel, though I wouldnt recommend this if your bag doesnt have wheels. Its also a 2 hour train ride from Venice. I did not have the breakfast or eat at the restaurant, so I have nothing to offer you there. We did, upon arrival, receive Easter bread and a glass of wine. Nice touch!
