Julie's Bakeshop is a Filipino chain, boasting over 500 locations in the Philippines. One so happens to be located in the popular Station 2 D'Mall entrance/exit. They serve a variety of baked goods, but the ones I wasted all my pesos on were all things purple.
I had their UBE CRINKLES, which were my favorite. They look slightly hard on the outside, but we all know looks are deceiving. Inside is a moist, cakey goodness. I would guess it's the equivalent of crack. For 7 pesos?! Give me the whole tray.
I also had their SWEETHEART, which is a cake. And YO-YO, which came in the shape of a macaron. For a few pesos more, the UBE BAR was divine. It was a little denser than all the others. If you're in the Philippines, this is definitely a must try. read more
