He helped me through a sticky health situation and I will absolutely be returning to this practice in the future! She was instrumental in recognizing my health issue and going above and beyond to secure me a same-day appointment. Thank you both!

We are appalled that she never bothered to contact my husband regarding the results of his lab test results. Not a call, not a text, NOTHING! At times texts are fine to answer many questions, however when a patient requests a call to speak to the doctor directly, not by text and she never responds, it is unacceptable. Even after speaking directly to the office staff regarding a call back and told two days in a row that the doctor would call us back that NEVER happened. We just got another useless text. If Dr. Amy Schettino does not want to take the time to have a short conversation with a patient on occasion, and will only respond with a text she should not be practicing medicine on patients. We did not receive the medication prescribed in the form that was discussed in her office. She asked how we preferred it administered and confirmed this in a clear discussion at the end of our appointment. We called the office and spoke to an assistant who kept blaming us for not understanding what form of the medication was ordered. We understood EXACTLY what form of medication was discussed. It was not the first time my husband used this medication. Take responsibility for your mistakes! The medication was ordered in a different form than the first time we used it which caused confusion resulting in delayed administration of the medication. This caused my husband to be in pain and severe discomfort longer than necessary. Specific messages were left regarding this issue requesting a phone call from the doctor to discuss it. A call was never received. We also called asking if one part of the lab results were back and were told they would let us know the next day regarding that particular part of the results. We never heard back regarding the result we asked about with a call or a text. We understood there was a different culture that would take several weeks. As stated, we never received a call about any of the results to discuss what further measures should be taken. We went to the portal several weeks later to review the lab results that we were informed would be available after several weeks. Dr. Amy Schettino did not have the decency to get in touch with us regarding the results and to discuss them. This is despicable. What respectable physician ignores their patients lab results and never calls to discuss them. I come from a family of many physicians and if they treated their patients the way Dr. Amy Schettino treated us, they would not have a practice. We had to request the medical records four times in ten days without them being sent to our primary care physician. If you do not have the respect for a patient that needs to speak to you on occasion you should not be practicing medicine. It takes more than some medical knowledge to be a good doctor. It takes communication with your patients in a timely and considerate manner. That means a short conversation on occasion. You are required to follow up on your patients lab results in a reasonable timeframe. We also learned that his symptoms could be other issues that she never addressed in her diagnosis or from his lab results. We requested my husbands records and proceeded with another capable, caring and responsive ENT physician at a different practice. Our new physician discussed in detail with us my husbands results and what was causing his symptoms. Now that I have researched many of your reviews I wish I had read them before we visited your office. We never would have trusted you with his healthcare. The reviews we read are not the only negative feedback we have heard regarding care received by Dr. Amy Schettino.

Update: FINALLY! After nearly a year of trying to get tubes…read morethe Dr at the ENT Institute I'd been working with refereed me to a colleague, Dr. Weinman, who got the job done on the first visit. This was shocking how night and day my treatment was between the initial dr and Dr. Weinman. If you do use ENT Institute, please ask for Dr. Weinman. Avoid! I went in to have my left ear drained in December 2021. I only hear out of my right ear at this time due to a ruptured ear drum in 2020. The way it healed has made it where fluid builds up behind my ear drum and I cannot pop my ear. It's madding! By early April 2022 the doctor has convinced me I need nasal surgery and to take allergy shots. While they do the nasal procedure they will poke a hole in my ear and drain it. I could finally hear after this. A week later the hole closed and I could no longer hear. I still cannot pop my ear on the left side so it's back to exactly where it was prior to the procedures. Fast forward to August 2022 I'm still trying to get them to put a tube in my left ear so it can drain. I find out that the last follow up appointment in July, (I had to go to at leas 20 since the procedure in April) where the doctor did absolutely nothing but tell me in a month (which is the 3rd time I've heard this) we can do the ear poke again... a month later... here we are with me refusing to pay the $50 visit fee for nothing and then now saying they have to push the appointment back again due to not having the needed supplies to poke a hole in my ear... All I wanted was to have a tube put in my ear and be done with it. These people will drain you if your money and you'll end up with the same situation a year later. I'd suggest going anywhere else. It's a total shit show. I'm the fool for sticking with them this long, sadly.

Dana Heath and Alicia Bernstein at ENT of Georgia are by far the best I have ever experienced. They are professional, personable, thorough, patient and caring. They told us to complete the paperwork beforehand and arrive 20 minutes early. I completed all of the paperwork and we got to the office at about 10:05. We sat in the waiting room until 10:45. Then they took us back to a room, basically a second waiting room, where we answered about four questions and then waited again until 11:05 before the doctor finally came in. Once he came in everything was fine. Procedure went well and the doctor was very professional. Boosted this review from a two star to a three, until I went to check out. They said the charge was $60 total, since we were out of pocket, no insurance. The lady on the phone two days ago told me $230. So I actually brought it up because I don't want to steal anything. So they had to go look up the code and then recharge me. We left the office at 11:30. I guess I normally wouldn't mind things like this, but when you have a two week old baby, you kind of expect things to go better; not perfect but better. I get they're busy and every office has their "days", but this just was not a pleasant experience, except for the doctor.
