I am a fan of their large selection of different styles and clothes. I have never gone into this store and not walked out with at least one new piece of clothing. I love how most of their clothes fits, too. Very flattering. The girls that work there are always very helpful. On several occasions I have walked in and told them an idea of what I'm looking for, and they go around gathering different items for me to try on. They're also very attentive while you're in the fitting room, making sure to grab you another size or style, if needed. My only tiff about this store is that they don't have mirrors inside the fitting rooms. You have to step out into the store to see yourself in the large mirror they have just outside the fitting rooms. Most of the time I don't really mind stepping out each time I try something on to see how it looks, but sometimes when I'm in a rush to try several different things on, it would be more convenient and comfortable to not have to go out each time. Overall, very fashionable and cute boutique. They also have cute jewelry and accessories. It is a boutique on Main Street so prices range in the $35-70 range per clothing item, but the quality of the clothes and the variety of very fashionable styles is well worth the price, in my opinion.

I met with Genavieve in person to ensure that measurements were taken correctly and that there would be no misunderstandings in my expectations. Unfortunately, after multiple delays which she claimed was related to shipping delays from her manufacturer what I received at the fitting was far from what was promised -- the dress looked cheap-(dollar store rhinestones glued on a fluffy mess of uneven tulle), rushed, and bore little resemblance to what we had discussed. It was not wearable and so bad that she acknowledged it was not what I had ordered and I was assured it was a mistake and that it would be corrected in time. However, after multiple delays and broken promises, I was told -- just four days before the event -- that the dress could not be delivered at all. This left me completely without an outfit for the wedding. What's most frustrating is not just the poor quality, but the lack of accountability and professionalism. When I told her I would be traveling an hour with two little kids to come to her store and asked her if the dress was ready for the fitting she delayed multiple times then had the nerve to tell me yes when she knew it was not salvageable. She even told me it was beautiful but wouldn't send a picture when I requested multiple times. If I had been told earlier that the dress wouldn't be ready, I could have made other arrangements. Instead, I was strung along and left scrambling at the last minute. I would not recommend this service or doing business with any of her brands to anyone looking for reliability, quality, or basic professionalism. Proceed with caution.

She said she was going to check if the pants were ready and call me back. She never called back. I showed up the day after and they all had a horrible attitude and did not apologize for the situation. The customer service here is horrible and the owner is a rude older woman. I will never be coming here again. Overpriced and Terrible customer service.

However, it is a very good little store and people must know. Essence is tucked away on Miracle Mile, right next to the Crepe Maker. Just by looking at the window, you'd think that it's just another expensive boutique on The Mile that you can only afford a shoe. On the contrary, Essence carries the last est fashion at a very competitive price, especially for Miracle Mile. They only carry 1 of each S/M/L sizes per item, so it's first come first serve. Besides the clothes, they also carry a nice selection of shoes and accessories. You can walk out of the store in all new gear from head to toe. It's my addiction, I'm there at least once a week and walk out with at least two things ( I hate just buying one thing, it's like what's the point) and I hope you don't wear my size.
