The meals I have eaten here seem to be thoughfully put together with great care for detail, and with a refreshingly healthy attitude to the contents. Staff have been great, and keen to please, and access is very simple, with easy parking and wide spaces inside for good wheelchair access and a generally good feel. I have had both intimate couple dinners out and family meals here, always enjoying all aspects of the meal. I like the initial greeting in the lounge area, where orders are taken, and there is plenty of room for younger ones to wander about, a pool room and darts etc, and occasionally live music. We have tried quite a lot of the menu as we have been around half a dozen times, and have enjoyed the salmon, steak, chicken, gammon, scampi and vegetarian options. There always sems to be something for everyone, and plates are usually clean at the end! My husband has commented on the quality of the steak as compared to other local hostelries. There is quite a wide variety on the menue, so we have obviously not tried everything. The format of the vegetable accompaniments is especially pleasing to me as I am keen on eating real food rather than pub grub, and we have always been offered at least three vegetables, imaginatively presented, as well as salad with our meals. There are also some very tasty cheese-topped creamed potatoes as an alternative to chips, which I particularly like. We occasionally eat elsewhere, but there is nowhere else locally that provides such a great meal so consistently and so reasonably. Great service, much appreciated.

The staff were all very welcoming, and we were all really impressed with the friendly, efficient service. The menu was full of English comfort foods...and they executed everything beautifully. Just look at my photos to get an idea...I tried the goats cheese and caramelised onion strudel, which came balanced on potatoes and perfect ratatouille. If you ever find yourself in this part of the country, it is definitely worth popping in here for some lunch! *Pro tip: It sounded like they get very booked up in the evening, so ring ahead to ensure you get a table!!

Two of our party had bruschetta for starters and absolutely loved it . Main courses of salmon , beef and lamb were consumed with much enthusiasm and were rated very highly indeed. Bread and butter sticky toffee pudding was out of this world. Coffees were accompanied by oohs and arrs so I can only assume that they were superb. Others had fish cakes, pork tenderloin, lamb, and a variety of starters and desserts; but really everyone was complimentary of their food. Service was also above par. Friendly, attentive and smiling, even while putting up with our banter. Highly recommended restaurant.

It's got to be said that the view here is phenomenal! The Corn Mill hangs above the River Dee, which gives spectacular views. Bwyty Mawddach is (I think) a beautifully converted barn, full of oak and slate and that breathtaking vista. It's run by Ifan and Amelie, with much of the lamb served in the restaurant farmed on the surrounding land by Ifan's brother. Downstairs is a lounge area, with the main seating area upstairs. I've always been in a big group every time I've been here and can attest that it's a great venue for friends and families. The food is largely local and seasonal. It's reasonably priced and there's a good selection. I've never had any complaints about the service.
