Lo and behold, as you come in, what welcomes you is the serene ambiance of almost "home", minus the smell of home cooking or popcorn. The place is packed with very tastefully curated items from handcrafted "reclaimed lumber" to Villeroy & Boch and other very interesting finds. Even the bathroom which I perused after a long drive looked great and well appointed. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant and cordial. The very dapper looking gentleman (I presumed is the owner) was very attentive and hands on with his assistance on the product I was interested in. He answered all my questions and seemed really knowledgeable. Though quite a distance from home, it will be goodbye to the mall at Short Hills and hello to The Homestead at Princeton when it's time to redecorate. Pricing ranges from expensive to affordable. My goal was to keep a promise to my Mom that the new year wouldn't arrive and our garage and spare room were still disorganized. Kathy helped me deliver on that promise. From initial consultation to the two appointments, she was always professional and punctual. I liked that she gets right down to business but she's also very personable. Her team worked tirelessly. I don't remember seeing them take any breaks and there certainly was no lollygagging. After sorting through the mounds of piles, they always asked which items should be tossed or donated. They even take donation items with them and bring back a receipt, which saved me time. They offered to take the trashed items as well which was a welcomed surprise. I'd perused Yelp to find organizers to fit my budget. An Organized Home was the most affordable. It took two days and four ladies working nearly sixteen hours to organize both rooms. It ended up costing more than I had anticipated and budgeted for but my Mom is highly satisfied with the end result. She can be very 'selective' so that's a great compliment to the quality of their work. I'm also very thankful to them because after they cleared out the corner of the garage, they alerted me to the smell of gas. One of the ladies suggested that I call the gas company right away and have them check for a leak. A technician came out in the evening and sealed off a leaking valve. Had they not alerted us, who knows what would have happened. Making payment was very easy (e.g. Venmo, check, over the phone). I would use their services again in a heartbeat. If our trend holds, I'll be phoning them again in two years. :)

Though it is always a hike from Center City to make it into the showroom, I've learned it is well worth the trip. The designers are knowledgeable, talented and patient. The delivery team was able to navigate my impossibly narrow stairwells without any damage (or swearing, which I would have done). Their integrity, personal attention, and genuine kindness were exemplary. They stand behind their furniture, and when we needed repairs due to scuffs or scratches that we accidentally committed, their staff did amazingly skillful repair work and were extremely responsive and professional. I have passed US Brand for years and may have stopped in when it was an "Oriental Furniture Outlet" or a mattress wholesaler, I really can't remember. Whatever it was doesn't really matter, US Brand is a converted industrial garage stuffed to the rafters with furniture. Surprisingly the staff is very low key and allows you to catch your breath and get the lay of the land without descending like vultures on a wounded mongoose (very much appreciated BTW.) Unfortunately, their furniture inventory is not our style. Lots of laminate, white leather, sprawling Diamonique chandeliers and copious use of gold inlays. It felt more like an estate sale for the last Gabor sister or perhaps, Imelda Marcos. Obviously, this casino maximus style must sell but today was not the day to channel my inner Wayne Newton. Four stars for the very relaxed sales environment. Given the furniture jackals elsewhere, that's no small compliment.

Compare that to a competitor across the street where it looked like a car dealership and several sharp looking guys in suits waiting at the door for you to exit your car! Not that style here at US Brands! The owner was equally low key. It took two visits before we landed on the exact size and color of sectional couch. They said it would take 6-8 weeks; it took a week or so longer; and was just delivered today! We LOVE our new couch! And now plan to return to add other new pieces to our family room. Highly recommend this place.
