She is thorough and effective with her treatments, getting to each specific trigger point on muscles you never even knew were there. While, the treatment may not be the most relaxing(this is not a petting zoo experience!), it is beyond beneficial and result driven. Not only is Carrie a muscle guru, she provides energy healing that is approachable and flows seamlessly into her practice. Her calm nature can put even the most angst ridden individual at ease and her charming wit is just an extra bonus! I have searched far and wide to find a bodywork practitioner that provides me with myofascial relief and makes me, my soul, feel healed upon departure. I always leave there with a heightened sense of self and a calmness that stays with me throughout the day. Carrie is beyond flexible with booking times and rescheduling. She understands that sometimes, life gets in the way! I visit her at North End Yoga for treatments, the space is convenient and centrally located for us city folks. Book an appointment to see Carrie, you will not regret the decision and your muscles will thank you.

I leave her sessions feeling like something constructive has happened. I've been into running and cycling for years, to the point where I now have issues with very tight muscles and knots in my back, glutes and hamstring muscles. No longer does simple stretching work to help me avoid injury. To help, Carrie digs in, completely knowledgeable of all the anatomy and the techniques to make muscles loosen. She's super-intuitive and quickly finds the spots that need attention -applying as much pressure as I can handle, and quick to adjust when it's too much or too little. In the past, I've recommended friends to see Carrie for 'emergency' visits to work out crippling spasms or soreness or other troubles. Invariably she gets it done to loosen the knots and smooth out the wrinkles in your psyche. Add to all that her Lexington studio is in a great location off Mass Ave, and her cute South African accent makes her funny quips all the more charming. Unlike 'buff and puff' spa massages, hers leave me feeling much healthier than when i came in. And she is very easy to communicate with by text - responsive and flexible to schedule changes as needed.

Healing Hands of an Angel!!!…read more The name book assigns the meaning of the name "Michelle" as "Godly Woman". Speaking as a Michelle, I can say that not all of us can live up to this tall order, but Michelle Gallant can and does. Her hands performed miracles on my body this morning. Let me tell you more... After a week of working at a camp for kids who have a brother or sister who has died or who has a major medical illness (cancer, HIV, Sickle Cell, etc.), I was beat down tired. The kids and camp in CT were amazing. But imagine how much love and attention kids like this need. They are often left with baby sitters and for good reason, their parents are exhausted. So, we nurture them with food, fun, boating, fishing, swimming, horse back riding, camping out in the woods, games, arts, wood-shop, late night sneak outs to do candle lit chats, etc. My back is aching, feet throbbing, neck and shoulders are killing me, all the while I have been hot and sweatie chasing after and running with wolves (aka, 27 of the most energetic 11,12, and 13 year old boys and girls I have ever met). I come back to Salem, MA to spend the night at a fellow camp counselor's home before my trip back to Los Angeles, and I can barely walk. When I mention this to my hosts, they wisely suggest a massage by local healer, massage therapist, yogi, and Reiki II provider... Michelle GALLANT to the rescue! She quickly squeezed me in for an hour massage. Her fees were reasonable ($80/hr or $50 for 30), she welcomed me to her home office, had warm, safe, caring, and healing energy, and immediately stepped into the role of angel for me. She also provided me with insight about where my pain was strongest and what that meant for my psychological and emotional work. As a counselor myself, I can also tell you that she was totally accurate. But, what can I say? I am a hopeful romantic and it takes a toll on me. After I was done, I convinced my fellow male traveler to bump his appointment up from 30 min to 1 hour. We both thought she was amazing! I told my fellow camp volunteers that I would volunteer at camp again just to come back and see Michelle as a treat for a job well done. If you live in New England, make an appointment to see her. She is worth the money and travel time and is a very gifted healer!
