I decided to hire an interior designer to help me pick all the finishes for my condo renovation,…read moreFree my Interior gave me such great advice and thanks to them the place looks amazing! They only charged $200 and picked out amazing stuff that I would have never even considered, and prices for the floors, cabinets, tiles and countertops they choose weren't even that outragous (I was actually considering more expensive pieces that wouldn't have been as nice now that i see the end result). Plus, I even was able to hire them to do the painting and the colours they picked and the quality of work was unbelievable. They were also very patient and spent alot of time discussing my interior design project....I was so very happy with the service and end result. Thanks so much guys! Michelle

I hired someone else who quoted about $1,000 less than Puneet. Honestly, we liked Puneet a lot, his…read moreattitude and the way he communicated, so when I asked him why his price was higher, it felt a bit like a betrayal at first. He calmly explained that his pricing reflects the quality and materials, and that at the other price point, the materials being promised usually can't actually be delivered, or corners get cut somewhere. We still went with the cheaper option. But after about three months, the LED lights on our TV wall stopped working, and that's when we called Puneet again. He fixed it and also installed a WiFi switch, something we didn't even know was possible. After that, we got our bedroom wall done by Puneet. And looking back, that $1,000 difference felt like it was worth way more. The value and finish we got from Puneet easily felt like a $3,000 difference across both walls.

The core products seem to be sofas and arm chairs. At the back of the store there is a wall filled with throw cushions and a few other items. Mixed in with all the various housewares on the main floor they have some kitchen furniture. On the second floor there was a bed and more living room furniture with a few prints and mirrors on the wall. Toward the back they have a consultation area filled with hundreds of fabric swatches so you can custom order your upholstery. My letdown about this store was that despite all of the living room furniture there was a severe lack of coffee tables, which is what I came in looking for. April challenge 2/30

My family purchased a king size bed for about $3500 and it was very nice. The staff at the store…read moregets 4 stars for their service. The bed and quality gets 4 stars. The reason I gave this review 3 stars is because of the assembly of the bed. They had two men deliver the bed and assemble it together. It was not done right, drilled extra unnecessary holes in our wall to hold the headboard. Although these extra holes weren't visible after the headboard gets mounted but this shouldn't have happened if they were professionals. The headboard should have been mounted flushed to the wall form top to bottom but the way they did it was only flushed at the top and the bottom part of the headboard slanted and touches the wall. However the mistake was forgivable as these two men worked really hard to put it together. They initially came in our house and said it would be a very easy job that would take maybe 1.5 hour but ended up taking them over 3 hours. The other reason I didn't give it 4 stars was because we had requested chrome legs for the bed but instead the wrong type of legs came with it. Though it's a minor issue but it did cause inconvenience as one of us had to take work off to physically be home when they had to come back to the house to reinstall.

BoConcept might not be on the strip of expensive furniture and decor stores on King Street East,…read morebut their prices are comparable. For $150 their store-hired interior decorators will come to your place to take measurements, and then give you their ideas and suggestions on how to furnish your digs (with BoConcept products of course). The $150 also goes towards your purchase. I found their selection of fabrics and colours to be limiting. Their prices are pretty ritzy so those who are price-conscious should head to Ikea instead. With that said, they do have a some pretty cool furniture, like sectionals that lock together magnetically to prevent the slip and slide effect (which is most likely to occur when you're at your drunkest). Their interior decorators are relatively young, and in my opinion relatively inexperienced. Of course, you have to take that with a grain of salt as their ideas are only as good as the line of products carried by the store.
