This review is a long time in the making…read more I visited Dr. Hickman about 4 years ago, with a 17+ year old vasectomy. Ever since my reversal, I had some pain caused by it. 12 years later, with a awesome wife, we wanted to add to our family. I originally came to Dr. Hickman due to his affordable rates. However in the end, I believe the level of expertise he has is unbeatable. This is all he does, about 2x per day. And I believe he is the best of the best. For years after my vasectomy I had some pain during ejaculation. It turns out the area I had pain was due to an epedimal blow-out. (Something like that.) Essentially the tube that was cut and sealed blew out. And apparently that also made for a better success rate when the reversal was done. After the reversal, the pain was gone. :-) I came in alone from California, and Ubered to and from the clinic. The doctor does genuinely care, and did start the procedure with a prayer. The following day he wanted to check in - and as I was travelling alone he made a house call to the hotel I was staying in. When I had a semen check a month later, we had success - although with poor motility. In time it improved, but didn't get really good until my wife and I followed a diet from our IVF doctor. (Basically eating veggies, no coffee and alcohol, and tons of vitamins.) I If you are trying to conceive, I would highly recommend changing your diet after the reversal. My wife and I are now expecting, after a round of IVF. I can't say enough about Dr. Hickman. If you are looking for a reversal, look no further.

What made me go here was the amount of money it took to get an Xray and professional evaluation. As a self paying patient it is $250 to be seen. With that said, make sure you look at your bill so that they dont overcharge you when you get an invoice in the mail. They did that to me twice now. I did make sure they corrected it. What they also fail to do is care about the patient and follow up. The first time I went in for a broken finger they didnt really have much to say.. either it stays a little droopy or its a $4000 surgery for a 15 minute procedure. The second time I went in for my hurt knee they left me with saying I think you tore your ACL... without following up!! That is a serious injury to just leave the patient hanging. I literally felt like I was forgotten about. When I called the office they just said "We're really busy". Thankfully I didn't tear my ACL and it was only a meniscus tear. I know because I got a second opinion. Also if you give them your MRI CD, they might lose it. They lost mine, so don't leave without it. Like the other reviews... Don't waste your time or money with this company.

The arrogant and snooty woman who does the insurance billing does not return calls and is unethical. I had a signed contract for gum surgery for $1259.00 and paid my required portion of $553.00. The insurance was supposed to pay $706.00. She billed the insurance company $3425 and took $2400. After months of disputing the billing, I was told they could not refund me but $78.00. My other billing procedures have been the same dealing with this woman. I will never walk through their door again!
