Judith is a godsend. I spent a few years trying to get help for my hypothyroidism from a medical community woefully under-researched in this area. She clearly understands the data from all of the latest research and treats appropriately. But Judith doesn't just stop there, she's addressing other health issues for which the source had alluded my primary care physicians. Health issues facing women over 35 are grossly misunderstood and under-researched. It's so frustrating chasing symptoms year after year, with no solution in sight. Until now. Not to mention the time she spends with you (1.5 hours for my first appt), her accessibility (they always answer calls) and the friendliness and compassion of her staff. Judith is a blessing to women in Redding, CA~ She is that RARE and unusual combination of intelligence and caring. She really pays attention to very important details and spends the time necessary to treat tricky problems, such as low thyroid, bio-identical hormone therapies as well as annual preventative health. She worked with Robert Allen Green MD on the cutting edge of bio identical hormone replacement and works with compounding pharmacies to educate other health professionals on thyroid and natural hormone replacement treatments for women. On a routine follow up, Judith picked up an atrial fibrillation in my heart on a recent check up-- something my primary care physician missed completely. I know that Judith Crabtree is a NP Hormone specialist. But to me she is a doctor. She has done more for me than any other doctor. She has literally diagnosed me with things and treated me and I feel she has saved my life over and over. Judith is so very knowledgeable about so many hormone issues and because of her I am still living. I love that she really listens, is always humble, and gives the patient /s the time we need. Judith is a patronizing over perscriber. She has no idea about the conditions she claims to be treating! She is NOT a doctor. She is NOT an endocrinologist. If you think she is going to help you by giving your hormones you may or may not need and a bunch of psychiatric drugs, then you might get what you want from her. She a complete waste of time if you want real medical answers. I don't know why they keep filtering this review, but people need this information before seeing this provider. This is my second review. Judith is extremely knowledgeable in her field and has cared for me for as long as she has been practicing in Redding. I met her many years ago when she was in with Dr. Greene, my OBGYN at the time. I have seen Judith regularly since then. She keeps me feminine and feeling great. Highly recommended. Having been born with MTHFR (which only Judith discovered after years of asking doctors if all my health problems are related), which has caused many health problems over the years, I've seen Judith for many gyn, endocrine, & mood problems, since about 2001. Every single time I see her, she has learned more about my illnesses! I've NEVER experienced that in a Dr before. She genuinely listens. I frequently have had appointments that take a half hour or an hour, because she wants ALL the information, about my diet, stress in my life, my health, etc. And has a LOT of information to give. She is incredibly smart & kind, always learning more! Everything you could ask for in a practitioner. I wish every doctor took the time to learn more about patients & their illnesses like she does. I have been seeing Judith for at least a decade. She is very thorough and I totally trust her with her medical management. She strongly promotes a vegetarian lifestyle, so if you do not agree, you will need to be prepared for that. . She also tends to point out the negative and not acknowledge the positive. You will likely walk out of the office with good medical care, but doubting yourself. She has a gracious personality but it doesn't always come through as a good bedside manner. read more
