Sent an email to Judiciary Process Servers, asking them to file a document in the courthouse in Clackamas, Oregon. In the email, I included a foreign subpoena and declaration that needed to be filed with the court. Here was my exact email: "I need the attached "civil subpoena" and "declaration and request for issuance of a subpoena" filed at the Clackamas County Courthouse. I was instructed to have it brought to window 5 or 6 on the 1st floor of the courthouse. The court is going to issue a foreign subpoena. Once it is issued, can you email it to me? Also, let me know how to make payment. Thank you." The owner, Joe Horton, sent the following response: "We can help with getting your documents over to the court. As far as serving it, once they issue the Subpoena to you, you can then submit a new order for service of process through our order form. Here is a link where you can place your order: https://judiciaryprocessservers.com/service-request-form-menu/ Select process server." About ten days after emailing the documents to him, I called to check status. Joe claimed he had no record of me placing an order. I mentioned our email exchange. He told me that the email wasn't an order, but, rather, I needed to go to the website to order. When I re-read his email, it expressly said "We can help getting your documents to the court." No where in his email did he tell me that I needed to place an order through the website. His email indicated that ONCE THE COURT ISSUED THE SUBPOENA then I would need to place an order to have it served. I'm not bothered that a company made a mistake, even though the mistake put me in a huge hole, as time is very limited on this matter. I asked Joe if he could run the documents to the court that day for a discount (he wanted to charge $350). He steadfastly refused. I calmly explained that his email lead me to believe that he had already agreed to deliver the documents for me. He absolutely refused to cooperate. I was really struck with how Joe made utterly no attempt to solve the problem, nor did he offer an ounce of customer service. He was just dismissive of me, even though his email clearly indicated that he was wrong. I post negative reviews about once every five years. Joe's utter refusal to offer any customer service caused me to write this review. I don't wish Joe any ill-will, but at some point he needs to brush up on his customer service skills. read more

Definitely a scam... I work at a civil defense firm, and we hired Judiciary Process Servers to serve three witness subpoenas to a remote-ish location. They claimed to have completed service to all three individuals. We were thrilled, because this had proven to be a difficult job for other companies. None of the individuals got their subpoena served to them. I was in contact with the individuals that were being served throughout the process of subpoena service, and they were all pleasant. They had otherwise been cooperative throughout the case. Joe claimed they must be lying about not receiving service, and did not discuss further. It is my impression that Joe is fine with blatantly lying about services, it seems to be his MO. The other reviews are not surprising after my own experience, I wish I had checked yelp before hiring Joe's firm. Avoid! Don't give him any more money. read more

I hired this company to serve papers. No one went to the designated location, as shown by home video surveillance cameras on the front porch and interior of the home, showing front door. No one came to the home for the time and date the server said she was there. Three adults were in the home, and awake. No one answered the door for anyone supposedly knocking. However, the process server filled out the document saying she performed the service. As this is a legal document, this amount to perjury, or fraud, not sure. According to my attorney, judges really dislike this type of thing, as you can imagine. Unfortunately, when I tried to get help and answers as to what happened, I was met with complete disregard for anything I said. No recourse was offered. I was treated as an upset female, my concerns as to the legality of the matter was given little regard. I spoke to the owner of this company through out this incident, and he only gave platitudes and rote answers. He inferred that his process servers take care of so many calls that they can't keep track of what happens. I would not recommend this business at all. One hand does not know what the other one is doing. A difficult situation was made more difficult and not legally upheld. We had to re do the whole entire process serving again, and pay again to another source, who made sure things were completed legally and officially. I waited five months to finally write this because it was so upsetting. I didn't want to come on here and be emotional. I do not like to write negative reviews. But I would like to see this business take females seriously and handle business professionally and legally. read more

This company was sourced to serve paperwork for a protective order. They claimed to have made attempts; however, none were made. Emails continued stating 'knocked for several minutes' and nobody answered. Which is so interesting, because the person to be served was outside in their yard inside their padlocked fence with barbed wire at the top at the time this company claimed to have 'tried'. Did their 'server' put on an invisible cloak? Did they fly magically over the barbed wire? Perhaps this company has access to teleporting technology? Not only did they escape my detection, they magically escaped any trace on a security camera that is aimed at the entrance of this fence. When my husband called the company for assistance or explanation on the disparity being reported vs. what we were seeing he was met with the owner, Joe, being rude, evasive, and completely dismissive. This company is a total fraudulent joke, no accountability whatsoever. Their focus is making sure THEY GET YOUR MONEY ONLY. Not the severity of your specific situation, the safety of their customers, nothing. It blows my mind this joke of a 'business' is still operational. Our local judge ended up enlisting the help of our local sheriff's department and thankfully THEY got the job done- AT NO ADDITIONAL COST- because it turns out, some people are concerned with public safety- but certainly NOT JOE HORTON, or anyone associated with this scam. read more

Do not trust this outfit, they will make every effort to scam you! I fired them BEFORE they made any attempt to serve the person we hired them for after "Joe" requested more money from my wife for adhering to a particular serving time. Joe then lies saying his server made an attempt to serve at the location, this is roughly 20 mins after his demand for additional payment in which he explicitly stated they had made no efforts yet which lead to my demand that we terminate this agreement. To make matters worse we played back the camera footage for the date and time "Joe's" process server allegedly made his attempt and no one visited the home at all! These folks are absolute frauds and should not be trusted! I contacted this company and asked their service be conducted in the state of California. Later on I found out that they are not located in California which can cause a problem when the court asks for a server as a witness. I would not recommend this company since they lied to me. read more

I hired judiciary process servers to serve court papers to a defendant. I provided instructions as requested, and the process server employee did not follow the instructions. they attempted delivery at the wrong location, the wrong time and wrong date. They did not attempt to contact the alternate person to deliver to and did not contact me for clarification. In addition, the amount listed on the website is lower than the amount charged. DO NOT hire these scammers. Allegedly, we were served Massachusetts Contempt and Modification document on four occasions by Joe Horan and company. NOTHING showed up in our two security cameras for the four times Joe and company allegedly served us. On the final two instances the cameras showed us in the front yard doing yard work. If I could give negative stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else for process serving. Like other reviewers, I received an affidavit of non-service claiming that 3 unsuccessful attempts were made. However, I was home during those attempts and no one came to the door, my home cameras didn't pick up anyone arriving at the house, and the GPS coordinates that were included in the affidavit were to a different address. A lesson that people in business should really try to learn is that you can't be flat-out RUDE to your potential clients like the man who called was. That said, my general overall experience in hiring a process server has been very bad, the rudeness of the person who called seems to perhaps simply be a part of how these process service companies do business. No matter, it doesn't warrant a full pass to be as rude as you want to be to a potential client. I hired this company to serve my ex-wife for eviction. I called them three days later: The owner informed me that his employee by the name, Jarob Ruiz, served my ex-wife at my home. Few weeks later, I called the owner asking to have Mr. Jarob Ruiz address and phone number in order to communicate with him to testify on the serving.
