He listened attentively to my vision for the proposal, which was to have the moment feel as private and candid as possible. He was able to deliver on that perfectly by staying hidden and shooting on a zoom lens from far enough away that my girlfriend (now fiancée!) didn't even notice he was there until well after the ring was on. In the remainder of the time we had booked him for, he guided us through a session with various different poses and lighting, and we got some really dramatic and memorable shots! Finally, Kyle worked really quickly to get us our edited photos, and we were even able to opt for a selection of the photos to be delivered the same day so we could use them to announce the good news to our family and closest friends. The day of the reschedule came and she really captured my vision for this shoot with the location and my 2 outfit changes. We've have had a handful of shoots from engagement, our wedding, maternity to newborn and this was one of the easiest and most enjoyable shoots we've had. Candice was the only vendor of mine who I met on social media, more specifically through a wedding Facebook group. They hosted an event to meet vendors on Zoom, and I was immediately drawn to her positive energy and impressive college education in photography and film. When I went to her website, I fell in love with her natural style. In short, she doesn't follow the stereotypical wedding video script, but makes your day into a literal work of art. Candice was actually the only videographer we interviewed, and we hired her as we fell in love with her on the spot. She was always so patient with questions, very responsive to emails, and flexible when it came to upgrading packages and making edits. Candice previously told me that she acts as a ghost on the wedding day, and this could not be more true. I sincerely didn't notice her and was impressed with how much footage she had considering she was a team one. She had so many different angles captured along with amazing lighting without the bright lights in your face. I admire her for going through 8 hours of footage. That takes a lot of patience! If I'm being honest, I was skeptical about hiring a videographer in the first place as I was cognizant of money, but I knew I would be missing out on a huge opportunity if I did not hire Candice. We're so glad we did for the following reasons: 1. Enthusiasm: To help simplify our planning process, my husband and I decided we'd go with a Sherlock Holmes theme, so basically mid/late 1800s to early 1900s-ish. We explained this to Ming when we met with him, and the rest was history. Ming and his team took the initiative to find three perfect backgrounds for our wedding day photo booth experience. They also made us signs with our names that matched our wedding colors, and brought prop options that worked with our theme. So cool! 2. The Extra Mile: All we really needed was a background that would resemble a library-type setting; however, Ming did some research and was able to find the perfect background. For any of you who follow Sherlock Holmes, then you'll know Sherlock's apartment 221B Baker Street. Well, Ming was able to find a beautiful image of the apartment mantel, and this was our main background! 3. Super Fun! Ming and his wife, who came to help, were a blast! Guests were lined up multiple times to get their photos during our wedding reception. The photo booth was a nice touch, and A PopUp Studio made it even more special. We had so much fun. I was was worried that we werent able to get a good photographer based on our budget, and I know that photographers are part of the most expensive aspect of a wedding because of quality. But everyone I had looked at prior, would have charged me DOUBLE for HALF the time if not more. Sydney understands and works hard to give you what you want. She is professional, but also fun. She obsesses over detail, and loves to be creative. She is prompt with communication and answering any questions you have. I opted for a boudior photoshoot to gift my husband with on the day of the wedding, Sydney Drove all the way to Los Angeles and shot a very classy and tasteful spread at a very cool studio. The whole ordeal took about 2 hours and the photos where flawless. When the wedding came around, Sydney drove all the way up to my wedding venue in Los Alamos, which is about 4 hours drive from her office location. And her travel fee was affordable too. I can't believe this girl. She brought her bff Natae to shoot videography of the event. Natae was a sweetheart and another badass whom I felt completely comfortable with. Time flew by during the wedding, and my husband and I were pulled in so many directions by the Coordinator and guests. Sydney would not leave until she felt she captured as many photos of us as possible. She refused to allow us to not have more choices. So she waited until we had a chance to get some more photos! I have never heard of any photographer who would stay behind to make sure everything possible could be captured. She wanted to be sure we were happy, and is so detail oriented, she wouldnt leave until she was satisfied with the photos taken.
