Other students seem keen to learn and receptive to safety tips. Incredibly clean facilities. Ample parking. You can attend whatever beginner classes you like on whatever day which is great flexibility. Price is improved with Black Friday class bundles.

Got to visit for Los Angeles. What a great experience. Whether you're visiting or a local trying to…read morefigure out if this gym is for you, here are some take aways. 1. First off, Professor Kyle is great. He was very friendly and welcoming. He introduced me around to a lot of the guys and game me a tour of the gym. You can see what type of vibe a gym has by seeing how the students relate to him during class. Here, you can tell they respect Kyle Watson, but are also friendly with Kyle and there's plenty of friendly banter. Kyle is very attentive throughout the entire class and the class is put together with a lot of thoughtfulness. Kyle is attentive the entire time and super helpful in giving instruction and tips. 2. The vibe of the gym is great. Here, you'll find competitor and hobbyists. Everyone was very kind and skilled. No one is off to take off your head and you can tell there are some skilled people on the matts that can turn it on (if they wanted). Great number of training partners. I can see guys getting good here pretty quickly. And if I lived around here, this would be the gym I would pick. Chill vibe but people here work hard. 3. Facilities. This place is HUGE. Upstairs and downstairs mat space. Mens and women's lockers. Showers. Plenty of space to put your gym bag. The place is CLEAN throughout. 4. Schedule. An underestimated aspect of someone choosing a gym is the schedule. Bottom line, if there aren't a lot of options, you're more likely to stop training. Here, there are a ton of options for advance, beginning, go and no gi. Bottom line, give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about this gym! I LOVE IT!…read moreIt is so CLEAN, the machines all seem to be brand NEW, the staff is extremely FRIENDLY and the classes are great. Its extremely AFFORDABLE, it took me less than 10 minutes to sign up - NO CONTRACT! - and they offer perks like red light therapy, cardio theater and childcare. There isn't a long list of classes, but you don't need that because the ones they do offer are fantastic - sort of a mini cross fit, weight lifting with cardio, intense session that works for anybody at any level of fitness. They're also at the right times - 9am, 5pm, and 7pm during the week then a 9 and 10am on Saturday. That's all I need because those are literally the only times I would attend a class at a gym. It seems to be a smarter, better system. There is an app 'MindBody' that lets you book the class and add it to your calendar from your phone (or you can do it online - but lets be honest, you're reading this on your phone right now). Seamless. Did I mention the class is taught by an actual personal trainer who works at the gym? Who you'll see around, who will most likely remember your name, but won't berate you into paying for training you don't want. But, you could actually afford personal training if you wanted because the membership for a month cost less than lunch out. And you may actually want it because the trainers are great! (Note: I've only experienced the trainers in a class setting, not in 1 on 1 training sessions. You do get a free training session upon joining but they don't push it on you - again, refreshing). I was also extremely and pleasantly surprised by how nice the gym MEMBERS are. Oh sure there are a couple meaty guys lifting weights and a few high school aged kids tooling around a bit - but its a fantastic mix of people and from what I can tell, a pretty good mash up of all fitness levels. After my first class I had 3 people approach me to ask how I liked it, tell me I did a good job, etc. I'm not a fitness guru - this was definitely my first trip back to the gym in years. I wasn't expecting anyone to talk to me, much less offer me encouragement and accolades for making it to a class. I've worked out at plenty of other gyms and I can assure you this has never happened. If all that wasn't enough for the $20 a month you're paying with NO contract (?!), why not try out tanning, or the hydro jet massage bed, or the red light therapy? You can feel good about leaving your stuff in a locker because they're immaculate - then you can shower in what appears to be a brand new shower, or sit in the sauna. (Note: They have memberships starting at $10 a month but I'm not sure what they include besides access to the gym). Thirsty on the way in or out? Grab a water, scan your membership card, and it's charged to your account. So easy. So smart. Maybe I'm watching too many episodes of "The Profit" but I'm fantasizing about opening my own franchise. Seriously, the only thing I don't like about this gym is that I sometimes feel guilty I'm not paying more for these exceptional services. Final note: I see someone else commented about poor customer service/management - I can tell you that was the opposite of my experience. Every interaction I've had with the staff has been absolutely great. They are friendly and knowledgeable and nobody is putting off the "I'm better than you" vibe so typical at other establishments.
