Has basically just lots of drinks. There's some beers on tap and lots more in bottles and cans, so great variety. It's about $6 for a basic cocktail. There's a pretty okay choice of liquors. Has no food menu basically. They may have those frozen pizzas. For sure it's better than expected. It's located on Washington Street at Jefferson. The Taproom has a few things on tap but ironically most of it's in bottles and cans to be honest. Also there's food. You can get more than just the usual greasy fried things. Came in and it wasn't that crowded. It's got the bar and a few tables, and these happened to be enough. The atmosphere is pretty chill except for some crazy regulars. A few TVs so it's good for watching games. It's about $5 a pint. Figured we should get something on tap since it's in the name. They have Yuengling among others. It's about $8 for a burger and side, and they have a Beyond Burger. They seasoned the hell out of it, so while you get salt you won't get any meat. Has plenty of beers and a pretty okay amount of choices to eat. It's got a happy hour. They're open later on Fridays and Saturdays.

On our most recent visit the owner of the place, was behind the bar and she told us a bit about its twenty eight year history. She and her now deceased husband bought the place and named it "La Opera" after his favorite bar in Mexico. He passed away about ten years after buying the place and she has been running for eighteen years since. She decided to keep the name because it was important to him. Cheap beer, no food. Friendly bartenders. A very mixed patronage.
