This guy has ADD or he's trying to kill me LOL…read more I went to see my regular doctor for two separate issues with my feet. The doctor suspected I had a mild case of gout on my right foot, so he was going to prescribe some meds for that issue. For my left foot, I was in excruciating pain for days after I walked on it for a longer period of time or lifted anything heavy.  I could barely walk at all and his solution was sending me to an orthopedist to get a pair of orthotics.  He also gave me a prescription for the pain. 3 things wrong with this; 1.- He forgot to give me the prescription for my right foot 2.- Did he hear that I'm not able to walk?, Shouldn't I get an ultrasound to see what might be causing the severe pain? A pair of orthotics is his solution, come on! 3.- He has been my doctor for about 4 years and he has my chart that says in big bold letters, severe allergy to Advil and Aspirin; good thing the pharmacist informed me that the medication he prescribed has those ingredients!  This was the 3rd time he has made this mistake. I'd better leave him before he sends me to hospital!

AMINI ONLY I was a patient of Dr…read more Amini's for several years, but was recently informed that I had been removed from his practice because I had not been seen in-person for over six years. I am 49, healthy, active, and had no ongoing medical issues that required regular appointments. During the COVID period especially, patients were encouraged to use walk-in clinics and telehealth for non-urgent issues, which I did. Those visits should have been forwarded to my family doctor's office as part of my medical record. When I recently called to book mid-life preventative checkups and bloodwork, I was told I was no longer a patient. I had never been notified that I was at risk of being removed. I was surprised and frustrated, and in that moment I did mention that I might leave a negative review. That was said out of shock, but it doesn't change the underlying issue: being healthy and not needing frequent appointments resulted in losing my family doctor. I understand family doctors are in high demand, but it's disappointing to learn that maintaining good health and not using unnecessary appointments can be grounds for dismissal, especially when approaching an age where preventative care becomes more important. Continuity of care matters, and that was not supported here.

I later learned that her name is Nosheen. It was Nosheen that answered my call. I told her about our family trauma, that I was a former patient. I was desperate for help. She responded with such great care and real concern.  Her warm kindheartedness, gave me much needed consolation right away. I did not expect such relief right then. She comforted me with assurances I did not ask for. She said Dr. Sommi would call me very soon. I am so grateful to her for easing my burdens the way she did. She is more than wonderful. Dr. Sommi's phone call did wonders for my well being. Just hearing Dr. Sommi's voice on the phone, was a saving grace. He took away my pain and heart ache. That phone call restored my faith in mankind. Dr. Sommi gave me hope. He was there when I needed him.  The compassion of Dr. Sommi and Nosheen truly saves people.

It's not uncommon for him to call you at home (on his weekends, no less) after he's sent you to a specialist to see how you're doing and make sure everything's going as well as it can.
