Everything is clean, organized, and cozy and since the building stays freezing, she always has blankets ready to bundle me up. Our appointments are basically an hour of laughing, talking about our kids, families, and life while she makes my lashes look amazing. She even has a rewards punch card for returning clients and has gotten me a Christmas gift before. I absolutely love Sam and iLashU and recommend her to everyone. She seemed very nice, easy to talk to, and I appreciated her fair pricing. Also she had very good reviews on Yelp. I saw her on 12/27/22. But since I don't go to her normally I couldn't help but compare her to my usual girl. Mind you I have been getting my lashes done religiously for 2 years now. Firstly, she told me I needed a new set (initially booked for a fill) to which I thought, "Fair, she's the expert, I'll go with her advice." She could've been way more gentle when removing the existing extensions. She pulled at the extensions and rubbed at them with whatever remover she used which irritated my eyelids. But I let that go because that part passed pretty quickly. Another thing I noticed is she didn't ask what shape or length of lashes I wanted. I'm used to being asked those things, plus if I'm ok with the length of extensions they're going to apply, etc. When I got home, however, I examined my lashes in the mirror and found that I couldn't brush through them. Somehow there was glue on the the tips of the extensions which I found weird. Also I noted during my appointment she had placed a full set in under 2 hours. Fast forward to today (1/10/23), and I finally got an appointment with my usual girl. She said the fans were unusually easy to remove, despite me washing them every other day and brushing them (when they allowed). She also said she could tell they were premade fans, which isn't always the way to go in my experience. The way they're glued together makes for a very unnatural appearance. She noted that there were multiple fans on one lash which weighed them down and she found a few that were stuck together. So all of this told me that it was a more rushed appointment rather than her being efficient. Overall, I'm not saying don't go to her or anything, I just want her to see this review and hopefully use it as constructive criticism and improve her techniques in the future.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience and would not recommend…read more I initially came in for lip blushing and had high expectations after doing thorough research on the process. I fully understood that the initial color would be bold and then fade/peel into a more natural result. However, after my first session, there was barely any pigment deposited at all and it was uneven. my lips didn't peel, which is typically part of the healing process, attached picture of initial session. I communicated my concerns and returned for a second session within the 7 days for a free touch up hoping to build more color. Unfortunately, the experience during the second appointment felt very rushed. I did not feel like I had the time or space to properly discuss adjustments (such as going darker or doing another pass), as I was quickly moved out due to another appointment. There is also concern about how sanitary the process was. Seems like that went out the door. She didnt map my lips, and frequently went on her phone with the same gloves she was tattooing me with. Now, after spending hundreds of dollars, there is still no visible difference in my lips. I reached out on 4/3 to follow up on my results and did not receive a response. I sent a follow-up message on 4/8, again with no reply. When I finally heard back, I was told she was on vacation "until next Thursday," which would have been 4/16. It is now 4/24, and I still have not received any meaningful follow-up or resolution, and likely will never hear back from her again, thus this review and needing others to know what kind of business owner she is. This lack of communication has been extremely frustrating and feels unprofessional--especially considering I was reaching out about concerns with the service. It's hard not to feel like messages are prioritized differently when it comes to booking new clients versus addressing issues. I did purchase a Groupon for the tint and I wonder if it has anything to do with that or if she treats all concerned customers the same. I can't tell which is worse. Additionally, I felt that accountability was lacking. My concerns were repeatedly attributed to me being "scared of color," which is not accurate. I relied on the provider's professional expertise to guide pigment selection and clearly set expectations. As a client, I should not have to guess whether the outcome will be visible after multiple sessions and additional costs. She also gives conflicting information about the healing process. I was then told that I would need to pay an additional $200 for another touch-up to achieve a noticeable result. At this point, I'm not comfortable continuing to invest more money (and pain!!) without having seen even a baseline level of results from the initial services. Overall, this experience has been frustrating from both a results and customer service standpoint. I would strongly recommend doing thorough research and look elsewhere for services. There are plenty of other PMU that offer deals for lip blushing etc. that have more reviews that you can rely on.
