John never e-filed my taxes and I ended up owing about $1400 in late filing fees. I tried many times to have him make it right but he blew me off. horrible. Matt, Since you have incorrect information I will let you know that when I spoke to the IRS they told me the reason for my penalties was due to the fact that your Office never e-filed my taxes. I paid my amount due on time and your office simply did not submit the e-filings. I explained this to your father who kept telling me he would take care of it. (This by the way was in November so I did in fact have contact with your father after August). Since he continued to blow me off I told him I was paying the penalties so that they don't accrue more. He told me he was trying to contact the IRS and would get back to me. He Never did. He constantly blew me off. BUYER BEWARE. I write this review to save others from losing money, time and suffering unnecessary aggravation. Especially if you are a business in the area, you should be forewarned. I should've known better. We were new to the building on main street and John Molle of JRM, walked into our offices unsolicited. He introduced himself, schmoozed me and promised us incredible accounting services for competitive prices. It couldn't have been further from the truth. And when we found out from other local business owners that had either sued him or fired him, we were already actively engaged in services and then our own horror story began to unfold. John and JRM's catchphrase is "Your father's accountant with your children's technology". I'm not sure of the technology he's referring to because, just as other people who reviewed him stated, on various occasions I would email him or text him and not hear back for days and sometimes weeks. But I guess that you can count on him using technology for "cyber-bullying". I have several angry text messages from him because I was asking him to do his job and provide me with answers on our taxes. On one of my face to face meetings with him, I confronted him regarding his nasty text messages and he commented that his wife referred to him as passive aggressive. His behavior is beyond unprofessional. I should've also been tipped off regarding this shady bookkeeper when he commented and asked me to my face, "You had a great year. You wouldn't mind if I charged you a little more would you?" The last straw was when we had requested our QuickBooks repeatedly and when he finally sent me a file, it was essentially something thrown together within a day that was missing 95% of our information. I guess he was billing for non-existent services that he and his son never performed. Just as you've read from others, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY JOHN MOLLE AND JRM. And if you're a current client, be warned. There are plenty of other upstanding, friendly and professional accountants throughout the state to choose from. And ones that are CPA's and not bookkeepers charging for non-existent services and guesswork. We have begun the legwork to build our case and are taking legal action and reporting this guy and his company to the states attorney general and will not stop until we prevail. Turns out we have an accounting firm now that charges us less than John Molle and JRM did and is upstanding and incredibly responsive to our needs. They guide us every step of the way as CPAs do and keep us abreast of current laws and regulations. Turns out that JRM and John Molle are simply bookkeepers, not qualified in the field. JRM has been consistently a great place to get my taxes done each year. Ive used them for 3 years now and recommended them to my parents who have since switched over. They are knowledgable, friendly, and cost superior to most if not all CPA's. Sure you could try turbo tax, but I was surprised at how many deductions I was missing. I highly recommend this company for getting your return filed easily, and your refund back fast. read more

I want to echo the same sentiment as previous online reviews of this accountant. I was lured into this place by the owner's pitch about individualized attention and cost savings over the larger CPA firms. Well my cost savings was offset by the interest and penalties I got assessed when this guy filed my taxes late, and didn't have the courtesy to give me heads up that he needed an extension. He had all my business paperwork by February 15 and couldn't get my tax return done until May 15th. He was hard to reach when I needed to, he was insincere, and just outright shady. With a deceitful bait and switch sales tactic and no employees with a CPA, steer clear of this fly by night firm. read more

I had a bad experience with this accountant. He was difficult to get in touch with when I needed him. He couldn't complete my taxes on time and needed an extension. I also had several other problems with their service. I was very unhappy with the service I received from JRM. read more

Do not use this tax preparation business! I met with John Molle in February of 2020 to do my taxes; he said it would take approximately 2 weeks. After several weeks elapsed, I emailed him and he responded that it would be done soon. He was very quick to respond to emails early in our transaction. As the April 15 deadline approached, he said that the government has extended the deadline to July 15 due to the pandemic, so there was no hurry in his mind...but I needed my refund. As time went on, he and his son, Matthew stopped responding to my emails and my calls went unanswered. I became very concerned because he had ALL of my tax documents! I requested my paperwork back numerous times because I need to have someone else do my taxes as the deadline was fast approaching. I sent certified letters to both John and Matthew and still did not get my paperwork returned. I contacted the Division of Consumer Affairs but they could not intervene because neither John nor his son, Matthew, are Certified Public Accountants. Inevitably, I had to start from scratch, obtain all of my tax documents from their sources, and find another accountant to help me. It is now 11 months later, my paperwork was never returned, and I have not heard anything from this business. Do not use them. read more

Don't do it, don't use this guy. He took me personally several years ago for twice as much as he quoted me and then also crushed a non-profit I am on the board for. It was so bad with the non-profit they had to hire an attorney to get all their records back. read more
