A rep from Ace shows up in the window of time we had setup. He tries to snake the clog, to no avail. He said the clog was a little too deep and too hard, and this would probably involve having to get new pipes (which probably isn't a bad idea). Total cost would be in the thousands. I can't do that now, so I just paid the fee for them to come and try to repair ($135.00). I ended up calling another plumber who works on the buildings in my area and they were able to snake out the clog. Maybe they just went a little harder into the pipes, but yeah, problem solved now. So, maybe, protip here would be, if you're having a plumbing issue, contact your HOA to see who they recommend for these types of issues. Or, if you've bought a house or buying one, get the information of the plumbers / workers who worked on it prior, since they might have a tad more information about the intricacies.

However, when we mentioned the pump was new, he was honest and suggested that it was likely under warranty and that the company that installed it should manage the issue. He waited for a few minutes while I called the previous company, who sent a technician later in the day and found that Luis's assessment (disconnected pump) was correct. In the future, we will be switching to Fords Plumbing. They were quick, through, and honest.

Despite all of this, I was still charged $196, as if my time and inconvenience had no value. To add to that, I was asked for my email address so a receipt could be sent to me -- and I still have not received it. That lack of follow-through only adds to the frustration. I don't like being at the mercy of service providers, and situations like this make it feel intentional. Customers are given wide windows, forced to wait around, and then expected to accept last-minute arrivals with no accountability. In my opinion, companies know people don't really have a choice in these situations, and that imbalance shows in how little respect is given to the customer's time. The work itself was fine, but the experience matters. If you're going to charge premium prices, there needs to be accountability, communication, and follow-through -- not silence, delays, and customers left waiting all day.

We chatted and he asked me to text our exact address (which I did) and he texted back that he had a couple of jobs near us but that he thought he could be with by 7pm. I initially contacted him to perform maintenance on my tankless hot water heater since I had just moved into a new home. Zorro showed up on time, was extremely patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions (it was my first time dealing with a tankless system). Because of how great the experience was, I ended up asking him for a quote on a whole house water filtration system as well. During the installation, one of the filter tanks unfortunately had a crack. Zorro immediately got on the phone with his supplier to get a replacement as quickly as possible. He kept me informed every step of the way, even sending me the tracking number so I could follow along. When the replacement arrived on a Saturday, Zorro was at my house within the hour to finish the job. That level of responsiveness and accountability is rare. Adeedo? More like AdeeDON'T! These folks are great at…read moreteamwork. Unfortunately, the teamwork is all about ripping people off instead of about plumbing. And I suspect they specialize in taking advantage of senior citizens. We had a leak from the drain on our toilet on the second floor. Adeedo plumbers took a look and said the old cast-iron drain pipe was failing and should be replaced. They gave us an estimate that seemed high, but we went with it because we just wanted to get it taken care of. The plumbers seemed to be doing fine work. Meanwhile, there was another piece of work they recommended we have done, with another exorbitant price tag attached. When we balked at that price, they came back a day later and said they could do it for half the original quote. We ended up not having them do that work, but it did make us suspicious about their pricing practices. When the plumbers finished replacing the cast-iron drain with ABS pipe, they had jostled the other cast-iron drains in the bathroom, creating leaks from the shower and the sink. And they didn't reconnect the toilet. So we started with a toilet leak and ended up with a totally nonfunctional bathroom. At this point Ramon, who was our main point of contact with the company, ghosted us. Twice they sent people, unscheduled, to patch the wall where the shower and sink drains were leaking. Why would we want the wall closed up with leaking drain pipes behind it? We moved on to another plumber due to Adeedo's unresponsiveness. But we did get someone from Adeedo to finally come and reconnect the toilet. He wanted full payment for the original job on the spot but said someone from the company might be able to work out something with us later since we were not satisfied with the service we received. This new contact, Alfonzo, is just as unresponsive. Although I've spoken to him three times, he always says he needs to talk to this person or that person to "understand what happened" and he'll get back to us. He never does. We hired another plumbing company, Charlie's Sewer and Drain, to replace all the cast-iron drain pipes from the bathroom. They did a great job on the much more extensive project and charged us less than Adeedo did for its unsatisfactory work. P.S. After this review was posted, Adeedo did reach out to discuss the issues we had. They ultimately gave us about a 30% refund.
