I'm not sure how to start this review, so I'll just say this- they're awesome!…read more When my Shar Pei got sick, I was looking online for places that deal with this breed of dogs, as besides the fact that it's one of the rarest breeds, many vets are not familiar with the particular diseases of this breed. I've had some bad experiences in the past. So I stumbled upon the name of Dr.Strom, on a Shar pei owner website, and I've decided to give them a call. I've made an appointment, Dr. Strom was very pleasant and friendly throughout the whole consultation - and weirdly enough, my dog which is really not friendly around humans, was pretty calm the whole consultation. They've run some tests, and I did not feel that they were trying to sell me anything not needed, like other vet practices did in the past. Dr. Strom followed up for the next days with the results, explained me my options in a friendly yet professional manner. The whole experience is enough to earn them 5 stars, but they went well beyond their duty. How? Well, the sickness of my pet is a fast advancing one , and any day without treatment means less time I get to spend with her. So I called on a Saturday to arrange pick up for the needed medicine. Dr Strom was not in, so I asked if some other vet could fill up the prescription. The receptionist told me she can check with the vet and let me know. Couple minutes later, she said that they can arrange that, and I'd need to get there before 2.30, their closing time. It's worth mentioning that it was already 1 pm, and it would have taken me well over 2 hours to get there. Other places probably would have said though luck, come back on Monday. But they arranged to have the prescription filled up at one of my local pharmacies, and have it picked up from there. Not only they've made it possible for my pet to get her medicine on time, they saved me a ton of effort, but what's most important , is the fact that they put my pet well being above making a buck, as probably they also get commissions from selling the medicine, and they gave that up, which is something not many practices or people would do , this day and age, where everything is just a crazy race for profits. So I'll just end up saying THANK YOU, HILTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL , GOD BLESS YOU, and you've got yourselves a customer for life. I'd highly recommend you to try them, far better than many places i've been in the past.

They will quote you certain fees over the phone, but once you show up in person, the cost of their medication is astronomically high and extremely pricey. They are not upfront about their fees, and they do not follow through on the care they claim they will provide. To make matters worse, the front desk staff is entirely incompetent. I literally spelled out my pet's name to the first receptionist, and she still misspelled it so badly that someone else had to call me back later just to confirm and fix it. How do you misspell something that was explicitly spelled out to you? If they are hiring people who lack basic attention to detail at the front desk, it makes you question the management of the entire facility. Save your money, avoid the stress, and take your animals to Petco instead. This place is a predatory corporate trap that does not care about you or your pet's well-being--they only care about your wallet.

Despite being fully booked for the day, they managed to squeeze us in the same day (at 5pm!) when my grandma's senior cat started straining in the litter box and peeing a little blood. The front desk here was so compassionate and accommodating - they understood it was urgent, while all other vets told us the earliest they could get us in was the next morning. Dr. Popa was beyond amazing and patient. She took her time to ask questions, go over the medical history, and explain everything clearly without ever rushing. You can just tell she loves animals and puts her heart into her work. Her compassion and calm demeanor instantly put me at ease. Their prices are also very fair, which says a lot about their values. All other places I called wanted to charge an astronomical amount. You can tell they really care about helping pets more than anything else. I'm so grateful we found Dr. Popa and her wonderful team. I brought my cat to this veterinary practice for nearly a year after she began repeatedly reopening a wound on her abdominal pouch area. From the beginning, I expressed concerns that the issue could be related to food or environmental allergies. Over the course of ten months, I spent thousands of dollars on appointments, testing, injections, medications, and treatments, hoping to find answers and relief for my cat. Despite all of this, my cat remained in a cone for almost ten months with little to no improvement. I was often given explanations that did not address the root cause of her condition, and when I called with questions or concerns, I frequently felt dismissed rather than supported. The communication and professionalism I experienced from both staff and providers were disappointing. They would never call me back or take DAYS to respond. I never experienced that elsewhere! The most alarming part of this experience was discovering that my cat had been prescribed a steroid dosage that multiple veterinarians later told me was significantly higher than what would typically be prescribed for a cat of her size and weight. I was shocked and devastated. Fortunately, I knew in my gut these steroids were no good. However, she has since developed diabetes and liver inflammation--both serious conditions that can be associated with prolonged steroid use. Seeking a second opinion ultimately changed everything. Another veterinarian referred me to a veterinary dermatologist who has been incredible. She thoroughly reviewed my cat's history, listened to my concerns, and has gone above and beyond to help her. What hurts most is that at no point did I feel there was transparency about the potential risks and side effects of the treatment plan, nor was there any acknowledgment that my cat's case may have required a specialist much sooner. Multiple veterinarians who reviewed her records expressed concern regarding the treatment approach. We were finally able to speak with Dr. Cedar, who admitted that he was not familiar enough with Tally's condition. He also claimed that we were supposed to wean her off her prescription medication, despite never providing any instructions, guidance, or follow-up regarding that process. Whenever I called the office with questions or concerns, it was nearly impossible to get assistance--staff would either tell me no one was available, leave me on hold for extended periods, or the call would be disconnected. Ps: One final frustration was learning that our family was supposedly eligible for a discount because both our cat and family dog were patients of the practice. Instead of proactively applying it or informing us, I was told that I needed to specifically ask for it. Disgraceful!
