Tucked away in a quiet spot on a side street in the Brera District of Milan lies this hidden gem of…read morerestaurant. Hand-crafted delicacies from the Puglia region grace the menu, with specials daily. I was delighted to find this small but quaint delight while seeking a place to quell my mid-day hunger. I was immediately welcomed and settled into a table along the narrow street. The restaurant design was clean and crisp, with white wooden chairs brightened with light blue accents on the linens. The art and décor of the restaurant added visual interest while I waited for my food. I started with homemade maccheroncini with tomato sausages, basil and cacioriccota cheese, which set the bar for the rest of meal. I also tried the white fava bean puree, seasoned with chicory greens, which I enjoyed with some raw red salt water prawns. Fresh and flavorful. Right away, I knew I had picked the right place for lunch, because the first dishes were absolutely delicious! I wanted to try the raw selection, Crudi di Gallipoli, featuring tuna, swordfish, cuttlefish, red prawns, and scampi fresh from Gallipoli. Each piece was perfectly cut, colorful and beautifully presented. The whole dish was as much a sensory experience as it was a savory one. The chef recommended I try the braised meatballs in tomato sauce with homemade "Ricotta Schianta" cheese and I am glad I took her up on the suggestion. The meatballs were tender and juicy and full of flavor. Perfectly seasoned. The tomato sauce added a level of sweetness and mixed with the richness of the ricotta cheese really took the dish up another level. I was completely filled, and had felt as though I had eaten a gourmet fifteen-course meal, but after seeing a nearby table eating a fluffy, creamy cake, I had to indulge. The homemade pasticciotto was filled with a slightly sweet crème, and the perfect ending to a wonderful lunch. Excellent service, great staff, and wonderful food. The atmosphere is exactly what you want if you're seeking a quiet escape for a meal you'll never forget. I highly recommend!

It was raining and we were greeted and made to feel very welcome by the young owner who assisted us with selecting dishes for our lunch. The specialty, as the name implies, is food from the Puglia region of Italy...something new to us. The food was delicious and it is obvious that the owners and chef take great pride in what they are doing. The most delicate eggplant parmigiano was the best that I have ever had and a pasta dish with pasta unique to Puglia. Both were wonderful....simply prepared, but made with care and expertise. Bread, Primitivo wine, dessert and espresso topped off the meal. Their olive oil was so tasty that we bought 2 bottles to take with us. We highly recommend having a delicious lunch or dinner here.

All three were 4.0 with over 1000+ reviews on Google. This spot advertised live music, so it won the vote. Loved the food (so fresh), service, and view from enclosed and heated patio. Thanks to our waiter, Claudio, who made the experience. He was helpful with suggestions and ensured we had everything we wanted. I had to laugh as I asked for olive oil, and he was already spinning around from another table with it in hand. Bravo! I had the Paccheri 'Nduja pasta with spicy red sauce. It was very good. There was a beautiful melting ball of stracciatella cheese (buffalo...Stracciatella di bufala). Even the basil leaf was wonderful. I cut into it and the aroma of basil was noticeable..fresh! Everything just tasted so delightful together. I had to soak up the remaining sauce with bread so as none went to waste. So, so good. I was thinking ice cream elsewhere, but Claudio suggested their desserts. I enjoyed the demonstration with their plate of 5 or 6 choices. I went with the Panna Cotta custard with fresh fruit. It was wonderful. Check out the picture, almost too pretty to eat. Loved the continued music theme in the presentation. Speaking of music, the live piano keyboard singer started at 8.30pm. It was a nice touch. I'd definitely recommend this place even for outside the neighborhood visitors.
