The Detroit Pop Shop - The Detroit Pop Shop! Got one of every flavor, shared them with my family, enjoyed each one.

Detroit pop shop does popsicles right!…read more That would be my hope since that's what they're all about but now after finally trying one, I can attest to it. Their popsicles bring regular store bought popsicles to shame. I don't think I can ever go back now. We had an employee celebration at work this past week since Henry Ford Health System was celebrating their centennial and Detroit pop shop was there handing out free popsicles. Yeah! Normally they're $3. They had a sugar free one available but I opted for the one with sugar. I believe it was blueberry raspberry and it was delicious! It was super flavorful, not overly sweet, and perfect for a hot summer night out. They are smaller than your average popsicle which is a bummer. However, you can tell they're quality. I will definitely keep an eye out for them next time I'm at Eastern Market or I might have to stop by Parker Street Market (great little market that sells only Michigan made food/drinks!) in the West Village to try some of their other flavors. Hello watermelon basil? I've got my sights on you.

The tequila sunrise has a nice kick and real watermelon flavor in other varieties including with basil or vodka is always refreshing. The owner is always a joy to talk to when purchasing my pop. See you soon Detroit Pop Shop!

I LOVE THIS! Pot &…read moreBox did the flowers for our wedding and they were stunning--so I've been a huge fan for a while. The owner, Lisa, has taken the Pot & Box brand beyond special events though, with a number of different initiatives, all poised to bring flowers and beauty to people on the regular. This past fall she created an incredible instillation at the Flower House (in which she converted an abandoned house into a beautiful explosion of flower pieces by her and several other florists from around the country) and soon that Flower House space will be razed to create a garden where she hopes to grow some of her blooms locally! But that takes some time so In the meantime she's created the Flower Truck, a mobile space that sets up 3 times a week at different locations around Detroit, to bring beautiful blooms to people outside of special occasions. I've only visited the truck once so far but it's definitely on my list to visit again. Bouquets can run on the pricey side ($25 for a bunch) but they're fantastic quality and they carry unique flowers I haven't seen anywhere else for purchase. And they hold up REALLY well. I purchased a bunch of beautiful pink and peach colored ranunculus and after almost two weeks (and several water changes later) they're still looking fantastic in our dining room. They also carry fantastic succulents and other plants for purchase as well. If you like what you see and you live or work near where the truck stops each week you can also purchase a membership which is $20 a week for a bouquet, a savings of $5 per week on those beautiful blooms. As of right now the Flower Truck stops at the following locations on the following days from 3-6pm so stop by and treat yo self! Wednesdays - Midtown @ City Bird (W. Canfield) Thursdays - Corktown @ Astro Coffee (Michigan Avenue) Fridays - West Village @ Red Hook Detroit (Agnes Street)
