The website immediately established trust, booking was a breeze, and I received a call very soon after from Duane's amazing assistant, Becca. Becca put me at ease and she did a great job communicating all of the information I would need to know. Then, I received a really informative guide via email with really great tips on what to wear/what not to wear. Both Becca and Duane were really communicative leading up to my session and this really helped given I was quite nervous. On the day of the shoot, I arrived at the studio which has an amazing vibe and Duane instantly put me at ease not only with his clear skill as a headshot photographer but also with his amazing dad jokes. (lol) Duane led me through many different steps to identify how I wanted my final photos to look and he spent time meticulously setting the stage. After each shot, I was able to see the photos as we went and Duane was super patient in making super tiny adjustments to various details in order to get the perfect shot. When I received my final professionally retouched prints, I was AWESTRUCK. I have never before loved pictures of myself more in my entire life. A headshot is a chance to make an amazing first impression and I cannot thank Duane and his team enough for ensuring I came away with photos I was in love with.

Valerie Joy, an amazing photographer. Pretty much a gem in Phoenix to me. I was looking for someone…read moreaffordable and that would accommodate to my needs for portrait pictures and event pictures. She helped me with my professional photos and we had a great photo shoot for not professional portraits. I was very happy with the results. Valerie met with me and we went over my ideas and her ideas, we achieved a good plan and it was delivered. I noticed and I am thankful she was very thoughtful on finding what I was looking for. She took the time of giving me options for locations and even if I am not photography savvy she walked me through the modeling part and how I would look the best. I have also seen the work that she has done with families and dogs, engagements and wedding. I was not expecting to have such great professional pictures when it was just me, however, I saw that she has true dedication to any project, even for one person portraits. She is very patient, which was amazing for a person as me who is lost, which gives me a reference that she could be great with kids, and you can see that her children pictures are amazing too. Reliability as well. She gave me a date not far from the photo shoot and she delivered good quality pictures to me. Everyone at work asked and I will definitely recommend, and now I can also change my social media profile picture with something that makes me look amazing! I was also nervous about social distancing and measures to protect me and her. She was very thoughtful gave me a personal hand sanitizer and wore a mask all the time. She also thought about weather, how much I would have to walk, pose, stand. She even thought about me bringing water and extra shoes. This is what I call a well rounded profesional who cares about clients, has an amazing customer service and delivers high quality product. Thanks Valerie!!

Family shoots are not the easiest ventures. With kiddos running around and occasionally being uncooperative, Buck is patient and really takes the time to make everyone comfortable. We've never felt rushed or on the clock with him. That is a unique quality in a photographer and has made for some great experiences! We originally synced up with him to start documenting our little one's growth. From 3 months old and onward, he's given our family the precious gift of immortalized memories. With reasonable pricing, a quick turnaround, and stellar customer service, hiring Buck to photograph your family/event is a no-brainer. PS. When Back to the Future becomes a reality, I'll travel in time and hire Buck as our wedding photographer. Wedding advice #1 - don't skimp on this piece. Check out his portfolio and you'll see he's da best.

I wanted a very laid-back shoot with more of a lifestyle feel than super posed, and that's exactly what Buck delivered. We did the shoot in our home with a mixture of shots in our bedroom, the nursery, and some outdoor photos and I have to tell you that at 8 months pregnant it was pretty difficult for me to feel beautiful at that point, but after getting the photos back I felt more beautiful and feminine than I ever have. We knew after that experience with Buck that we also wanted him to do our newborn shoot when our daughter Charlotte was born. We wanted it to be the same kind of laid back feel and again did it in our home. This time he brought his wife with him to help with the "styling" and posing of our baby girl. Let.me.tell.you. She is a freaking baby whisperer. She showed us a technique for getting Charlotte to sleep that we still use today 7 months later! Once again, the photos turned out absolutely beautifully and will be photos that I will cherish forever. Buck is now our family photographer. I don't think we will ever use anyone else - I'm actually planning on reaching out to him again in the next few weeks to book Charlotte's one year photos and our Christmas photos (Buck, if you're reading this, be expecting my call shortly!). We can't recommend him enough, he is so incredibly talented and has a way of making you comfortable and relaxed through the whole process - something that I think is the secret ingredient for being a stellar photographer.
