Then there was an issue when he turned something off in messages on his phone and said he didn't get days of messages from me, leading to a second no-call, no-show. He told me he had reached back out to other clients, I asked him why he didn't do that with me. He just said I had a fair point. He took absolutely no responsibility for anything, you know one of those guys who is constantly screwing up but nothing is ever his fault? He often told me how great of a communicator he is, while not communicating with me at all. I was fed up by now and cancelled anything I hadn't already paid for. It's now been a month since he was supposed to cut a screen for me, that I already paid for, and I'm sure I'll never see that. He's totally unserious, unreliable, untrustworthy, and unbelievably slow, if not vindictive in not following through on a pre-paid job for someone who doesn't want to work with him. I found Handyman from Heaven via a referral service with my job and was so excited because I thought they would be able to help me with all the small issues I had throughout my home. The first visit went so well! I was able to get multiple things fixed and scheduled a larger job which was basically a bathroom Reno due to a leaking pipe. The work started off great and the team was really communicative. Then we ran into a small issue where I felt some work was improperly completed and wanted to work through it and that's where it all fell apart. The receptionist was extremely accusatory at first but did eventually call to apologize and I hoped things would be better. Once I talked to the owner he seemed really understanding and accommodating and even sent me a really thoughtful response as they were working though the issues with me so I had high hopes that we would fix the issue and continue on with the work, only they just stopped communicating with me completely. I would have fully understood if they came to a conclusion and explained to me why but they chose to do nothing and that was really disappointing. Now I have a half finished bathroom and construction debris that they left behind that I'm having to pay a new person to finish the work and clean up behind them. The worst part is I had already referred them to a friend of mine who needed some work done and had to go back and tell her, never mind because if you can't trust them with a minor inconvenience how can you trust them with a major job?! Mike gave me an estimate of $815.00 to replace my bathroom ceiling. When finished I was informed that it took him longer than he thought so the final price was $1245.00!!! There was no warning he was going to exceed the estimate , no reason given why it was so much, not even an apology for exceeding the estimate by 34.6%. He robbed me of $430.00!!! I asked Mike to seal a crack in my bathtub drain. He sent me a text saying it would take an hour or so to do a 2-3 minute job. He came the next day and spent 35 minutes in my bathroom. When finished he said it would be $100 for the fix. This is his second attempt to steal from me. Mike sent me an estimate to do my bathroom floor. He proved how unprofessional he is by sending me an estimate for $800 in a text with crossed fingers. That's how unprofessional he is! Couldn't give me a firm estimate after stealing from me. It was his way of saying he's going to steal from me, again. Mike was recommended to me but I no idea why. I hired him to do repairs inside and outside of my home but all he wanted to do was steal.
