This bus service was chartered, on Sunday (6/22/25) to transport members of the church, at which I…read moreserve as Minister of Music, from the Pleasant Grove Church of Denton, Texas, to the New Hope Church of Overton, Texas. I trailed the bus to the destination in my car, because I had to leave the host church much earlier than everyone else. The first issue was that the bus was running very late, due to some issue, in which it was having to stop, and at times couldn't travel at higher the 40mph. Secondly, at about three miles out from the destination, the bus driver comes to a stop on a side road, crossed by a highway; only she's pulled out beyond the stop sign onto the crossing highway. She spots a cop on the highway, and while I'm only a half car length behind the bus, with someone directly in line behind me, she proceeds to put the bus in reverse and backs into my vehicle. I had been honking my horn and attempting to back up myself, but was obviously out of room from the vehicle behind me. At the destination, I confront the driver, who acknowledges the incident and we take pictures of the vehicles and exchange driver's licenses. On the next day (Monday) I'm put in contact with the tour bus owner, who agrees at first to settle the damages independent of an insurance claim, as his deductible is $5K and my damages are formally estimated at $1,100.00. However, after he receives the repair estimate and photos of my vehicle, the owner begins asking questions that imply he's skeptical and has a problem with the repair quote, and he wants me to submit my vehicle to his P & B shop for the repairs. Through experience, I don't trust my vehicle to just anyone, least of all a person of questionable business readiness and integrity; it has to be a shop I trust, and you can attempt to negotiate with them if you choose. My last words to the bus company owner encouraged him to call my shop to get clarity and make a deal if he wished; but to inform me straightaway of how he wished to resolve this issue. As of the writing of this review, (two days later,) he's not called the shop, nor returned either of my two text messages. At this point, I've no other recourse but to use his bus's tag to get a claim filed through his insurance m, and have a police report generated against his driver and his business. I've also noticed the less than stellar reputation this bus company already has, and would not recommend doing ANY business whatsoever with them. Stear clear!
