I like this place. It's a coffee shop, meeting place, light lunch stop, boutique store all in one…read more The main reason I stopped in was to quench my coffee addiction. At first glance, I was somewhat hesitant, only because there were so many other things going on here -- the food choices, the small section of clothes, jewelry, knickknacks off to the side and then the chattering of locals waiting for their food and bemoaning that they had missed out on the fresh baked goods from the morning rush. But the coffee did not disappoint. Unfortunately, I couldn't linger. On the next visit, too early for lunch, but just in time for breakfast, I managed to get one of the fresh caramel rolls. I was tempted to eat it immediately, but as the open tables were full, couldn't. As I waited for the coffee, I explored the small boutique. With items from locals and some locally made things, it was easy to forget that I was waiting for coffee because I was caught up in the exploration. Next time I'm in the area, I'll make a point to stop in and take my time listening to the conversations, sipping my coffee, and this time trying one of the lunch items that looked so good. Oh, but that caramel roll was so good I regret not having ordered more for the next day.

Incredible affordable, I would get a large latte for only $4 and it's absolutely delicious. I lived in Wilsall for a few months and worked at the CMR for the summer of 2019 and this was always my favorite place to grab coffee and a sandwich. If you're driving through Clyde Park and Wilsall, this is definitely the place to stop!

My coffee order is standard for me, however, when I asked for his advice and recommendation on a breakfast sandwich, he steered me to his favorite burrito. The latte was great; high end melange of rich flavor. Breakfast burrito was substantial and delicious. Great experience, Thanks again! Bill

Tru North Cafe is a delicious and charming breakfast spot in Livingston. I came here on Sunday…read moremorning and had a great experience from start to finish. They offer specials, a great menu (with hilarious descriptions!), baked goods and coffee. The special of the day was eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes and they happily removed the meat for me. The Benedict was perfect from the ooze of the egg, the flavor and amount of hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were also perfect and I loved the potion size. Of note, the ketchup did not have high fructose corn syrup which I really appreciated and it tasted so much better! The man working at the front was SO friendly and kind and the chef even came to check on us to see how our meal was. Such amazing service! The ambiance is also 5 stars. It's an adorable spot with cozy seating, lamps on the table and homey decorations. This is a must try in Livingston!

It's a home-like feeling, with a front section presenting comfortable seating allowing a view to the outside. If some places can make me feel claustrophic even when I'm not, then when I come here, this is where I'll sit. It reminds me of a closed-in front porch. Go through the entrance to the coffee shop, you'll see the rustic vibe in the decor. There's seating in this area, but off to the side is a much larger room for groups, or meetings. When I try a coffee shop for the first time, I take my time, soak up the atmosphere, look at the menu including their descriptions, and ask questions if I need to do so. My tendency the first time is to go with a standard drink because it allows me to determine if the coffee lives up or down to the atmosphere. That takes me to the reason I come in: the coffee. It is very good. I would have a hard time finding fault with any of the drinks I've tried here. I don't know if it's the coffee, the place, or the employees who chat amicably with everyone -- even the newcomers. Go early enough in the day and there will be a tasty choice of food options in generous portions. The location is just off one of the busy main roads, but easily accessible on your way to or from the airport.

Did some research and decided this was the best place to check out in town, and we were right!…read moreWonderful atmosphere-- peaceful enough to relax or get some work done at, and comfortable seating with a couch in the front if you're wanting to chat. The food was wonderful and very reasonable priced too! I went with everyone's recommendation and got the iced bee sting but with oat milk, an apple cider donut, and a loaded breakfast burrito without the cheese or queso. Definitely satisfying. They are also super first responder and military friendly as well! The young man working provided excellent service and was very friendly and helpful. If I'm ever in town again, I'll absolutely be swinging by! My cousin's review: "Definitely better than Starbucks."
