I have been having low energy. Sometimes I feel so tired that it seems like my life is being sucked out lol not sure if that makes sense. I also have so digestive issue, which I get bloated very easily after meals. I thought that the symptoms are normal since now I have reached my 30s. I told Joyce about my symptoms and my concerns. In spite of COVID19, Joyce took extra safety precautions so that she could continue to treat her patients/clients. She does EXCELLENT work! She has a caring bedside manner. And I always see her when my body is sick, stressed, injured, etc. I highly recommend her! Our experience at the Joyce Wu Acupuncture Clinic was both positive and negative. Ultimately, we weren't able to receive the type of care needed, as she didn't have enough time to schedule weekly appointments. Not only did she only have time for appointments 3 weeks apart, but when we expressed concern about the efficacy of treatment (because acupuncture tends to work best on acute conditions when appointments are at least once a week) she was very condescending. The treatment itself was on point & the office space was comfortable. The low star rating is due to the blatant underestimation of our intelligence & experience with TCM. For anyone who is new to TCM & considering Joyce Wu to assist in your healing of acute pain- be sure to make sure she has time for you before making your 1st appointment. Sometimes, best results are obtained when patients are seen as often as twice a week. Once a month can possibly be a waste of your time & money, but profitable for her! read more

I found Joyce thru Yelp. I had been to two other acupuncturist in the past. And they weren't nearly as good as Joyce. I had a brain injury due to a fall and work comp did nothing for me but give me ibuprofen. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I decided to try acupuncture again. I can definitely say the treatments I have received from Joyce is somewhat of a miracle. My headaches are pretty much gone, my memory is now much better. My body was sore from the fall on the cement. Aside from her Antioch location, Joyce also has a clinic in San Francisco. I have been seeing her at the San Francisco location for almost a year now, and the acupuncture treatments she continues to give me are doing more for my health (body & mind) than I can properly illustrate in words. Even so, I'll try: I began seeing Joyce last year at a time when my health was truly in the gutters and the doctors I had been seeing couldn't diagnose what was causing my severe symptoms (will spare the specifics & details). After a gamut of tests came up inconclusive, and then a couple more rounds of these same tests met the same fate as the first I was left scared, without answers and willing to try anything that could help me get better. That's when I started seeing Joyce. Having never been to an acupuncturist before, having never sought out or received any form of 'alternative' treatment up to that point I really didn't know what to expect or even what acupuncture involved other than needles. Not being a big fan of needles in the first place I was a bit uneasy to say the least. Joyce quickly quieted my unease in the way she understood my feelings and apprehensions and in the way she gently, openly and mindfully performed her acupuncture treatments on me. The needles weren't bad at all. The treatments were amazingly effective, releasing and stimulating, seemingly reconnecting me on a variety of levels. All the while, too, I could sense Joyce listening to me and my body, even when the proper words escaped me to tell her how I was feeling, she could apply the right treatment for that given session just by checking in on my pulse and symptoms. Time has now passed, of course, since my initial meetings with Joyce and acupuncture. My health is truly back on track thanks to her. I'm feeling healthier and more connected now then ever before, more whole than I've ever been. I continue to see Joyce as my primary form of medical treatment, even after my old doctor's discovered the appropriate term for what it was that was causing my symptoms (again, details spared), and advised a permanent regiment of pharmaceuticals to hopefully keep my symptoms at bay or at least manageable for the rest of my life. I have chosen, instead, Joyce's acupuncture treatments, which have ultimately helped me achieve much of the same positive effects that the pharmaceuticals hoped to do, only doing so in a way that has allowed my body and mind to repair themselves rather than merely masking my symptoms. I can't say enough good things about Joyce. She was recommended by a friend. I made an appointment for my Dad who had full knee replacement over a year ago and still has chronic pain. I feel so fortunate to have found Dr Joyce Wu. She has helped me with the pain in my shoulder/back pain and now is working on the chronic swelling in my right leg.
