Imagine having miscarriage after miscarriage. Imagine going through an ectopic pregnancy that burst and lands you in emergency with your abdomen filled with blood. Imagine soon after finding out you were finally pregnant, you then find out in the 2nd trimester that your baby has a severe abnormal body anomaly and has no chance of survival. Imagine these losses occurring 7 times and trying to pick yourself up from the guilt and pain over and over again. It can be hard for even the strongest woman. Insert Megan (after my 5th loss). Megan, Megan. Through the hardest and most challenging times in my life (and now the best), both physically and emotionally, Megan has been there to support me. Right when she walks into the room, I feel like I am about to start my therapy session from outside in. And, as I lay down for treatment, an incredible calmness washes over me. No matter how crazy, terrible, or even great my day has been, the times I spend on her table are always where I find the most peace. She just has that 'thing' that puts you at ease and heals you. Megan has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. I now have two beautiful little ones because of her support -- really. She is a miracle worker - and not just for fertility. I have counted on her, even recently, to help get me through cold season because I had gotten sick 4 times within 3 months. Once I started seeing her again, I am proud to say, I haven't been since! I could go on and on about her, but I will leave you with this. Too few in this world are lucky enough to encounter people like Megan. I could not recommend her and her team more highly. read more

I consider the amazing women at Joyce Wellness part of my girl "tribe." I came to Joyce Wellness after hearing about them on a fb group and I'm so glad I did. My intial appt lasted almost 2 hours, and consisted of a very thorough conversation with Megan. She asked all the right questions to understand my history and was able to put together a plan of action. I immediately felt at ease, and trusted Megan completely. I've also seen Christine for acupuncture and Savannah for Reiki. I feel so lucky to have these amazing women be part of my journey. read more

I've been going to Megan since the fall of 2016. After an ectopic pregnancy followed by a miscarriage four months later, I was devastated and my OB told me there was "nothing I could do" to improve my chances for a successful pregnancy in the future. Well, she was wrong. I started seeing Megan and she really helped me get on track through a myriad of lifestyle changes. Megan also helped me track my cycles, and she was able to pinpoint that I have a super short luteal phase which is linked to a higher rate of miscarriage. By working with her, we were able to move my ovulation up and increase the length of my luteal phase. That is something I never would have figured out on my own, let alone been able to correct on my own. No OB would have bothered looking at my menstrual cycle chart to figure this out either. Low and behold, in April of 2017 I got pregnant with my son, who was born in January 2018. I had a wonderful pregnancy. No nausea, felt great, and baby did great too. I attribute much of that to Megan's good work. If you are struggling to conceive and looking for a smart, compassionate person to get you on the right path, Megan is your person! She had so many tips and tricks for me along the way. On top of that, she is just an awesome, fun person. It is truly a joy to work with her. I am currently working with her again as we are gearing up to try for #2! read more

Working with Megan has been an incredible experience! I had never tried acupuncture before, but I was looking for relief from chronic digestive issues, wanted to improve my health overall in preparation for starting a family. Megan is one of the warmest people I have ever met, and I immediately felt comfortable with her. She explained everything thoroughly and understands the body deeply. I learn something new in each visit, and she has helped me to understand more about my body and health. I leave each visit feeling deeply relaxed, refreshed, and balanced. Now, I can't imagine not having Megan as part of my wellness team. read more

Megan and Christine are such compassionate, thorough, and effective practitioners. My clients have spoken so highly of them for fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum treatments, and I personally live their emphasis on women's health and well-being even though I'm not expecting. The office setting is lovely, they run on time for appointments, and they are prompt to respond to emails and phone calls. So grateful this amazing resource is in our community! read more

Where do I begin on a group of women who have been there for me from the start??!! Everyone at Joyce Wellness helped me through both the most tragic and beautiful road which ultimately brought us to our healthy baby girl! We had been trying for a family for over 2.5 years with no success. I was introduce to Megan through the massage therapist, Kari, who works there as well (and will share my amazing experience with her on her page also!) and I couldn't have asked for a better angel on earth to help my story. Working with me we discovered a lot! I had Celtic (high intolerance to gluten), low red blood cell count, borderline hypo-thyroid, and had internal inflammation. Weighing 108pds, I couldnt understand at first why I was so swollen internally etc but working with Megan I gained the knowledge I needed and things came full circle for me. Getting my body more aligned, we got pregnant!! We were on cloud nine. Unfortunately, Gods plan still had more of the story and we lost the baby. Megan and Kristen patiently waited for me to be ready to begin again and once I did, their comfort, love and support never skipped a beat! We continued the work of natural means and 7 months after our forever loss, we were given another gift. I continued treatment with them through my pregnancy, scared of loosing again, they helped to relax and reassure me all the way. January 2017, we welcomed our sweet joy!!! Not only did they support my desire to get pregnant naturally, they helped me achieve it!! There is no better gift than that of your tribe! Megan and Kristen and forever a part of our daughter, of me, and my story! I thank them and love them both dearly!! I hope all the mommies out there to come, expecting, and or hoping for more receive their prayers. Having all the girls there at Joyce Wellness was truly heaven sent and I wish you all a blessed journey! read more

I finally listened to a friend and went to see Meghan for a consultation and treatment. I wish I would have gone sooner! Meghan has a gift. I don't know how she manages to take my stress and anxiety level from a level 10 to zero by the time I leave her office. I have been 4 times now for acupuncture and cupping for my back pain. The last visit I literally left her office with a feeling of euphoria and happiness. It was incredible. The needles are painless and her work is very thorough. Thanks Meghan! You are simply the best! read more

I am a patient of Dr Christine. I've been seeing her for about 1.5-2 years. I started going to her for treatment and support of my autoimmune disease hashimotos. I most recently have been seeing her for support through out my fifth pregnancy. I love and look forward to my appt. The office is easy to find, clean, peaceful and serene. Dr. Christines treatments are safe and super effective and my body responds quickly. She listens intently. She loves her job and her passion shows through her personality. I highly recommend her and Megan Joyce Wellness Center. read more

Megan is simply amazing. My first statement sums it up enough but all add a bit more detail :) I have been seeing Megan since 2012 and she has helped me with so many aspects of my life! She has a kind and caring demeanor, she makes your feel at ease and never rushed, and has a very light hand when it comes to placing the needs in. She used to be less than 10 minutes from my house & then she relocated to Costa Mesa and I make the 45min(or longer) drive each way to still see her, and she is worth it! The location is great- right off the freeway, and parking is free & easy. Her rooms are spacious, quite & comfortable. The receptionist is very sweet and accommodating. read more

As a birth doula I have seen first hand how beneficial Megan's work can be for mommas preparing for birth, mommas past their guess date and those in the process of birthing their babies. She goes above and beyond to help mommas have their babies. As a client I know that Megan is warm, calm, reassuring, professional and knowledgable. She will make sure you are comfortable, that she has a full understanding of your needs and answers any of your questions before she begins treatment. I highly recommend Megan! read more

I initially came to Joyce Wellness 5 years ago while pregnant with my first son. Megan was so wonderful and comforting. Savannah, the office coordinator is above and beyond!! Fast forward to last year when I saw an email come through for Dr. Christine Sanmiquel joining the practice with emphasis on pediatrics. My 2 year old son had surgical complications involving scar tissue. In a complete panic, I reached out to Dr. Sanmiquel to see if there was some way she could help him. Not only did she go above and beyond to listen to my concerns and his health journey, she got us on the schedule immediately to start helping him. A two year old and needles seemed like a far fetched idea, but we were desperate... the kid didn't even flinch. He was so comfortable with her and began to look forward to his bi-weekly visits. She was the topic of many of his little conversations and he absolutely loves her. My oldest son even looked forward to tag along to the appointments just to see Dr. Christine. She worked wonders on my little one, miracles I would say and I am forever grateful. In the midst of my son's healing, I was deep in my own hormonal health problems. I was hitting walls with every doctor I went to. Knowing what she had already done for my son, I asked her to start helping me. Prior to my treatments with Christine, I was anxious, I had excessive adrenaline and felt like I was going to have a heart attack regularly. I had continuous blistered and scabbed eczema covering my fingers and hands, I couldn't sleep or keep food down; I had lost control of my body. After 4 months of treatment, I got my life back. I owe it all to her and I am SO grateful for the miracles she's done for my family. We truly love her. read more

We just celebrated my daughter's first birthday - in the reflection of that milestone I recalled vividly my pregnancy and what an important part my visits to Megan were during that time. I was going through a very stressful period at work throughout the last months and visits to Megan help me tremendously both physically (intense lower back pain and stomach issues) as well as mentally (just letting go and relaxing). She was a critical element to my sanity and I visited her regularly. As I got closer to my due date she proved to be well equipped to assist. The induction points she used really helped progress my labor and she mitigated my pain with the tens unit and ear tacks for nausea. She was an integral part of helping me achieve my goal of a successful Bradley Method birth and I am so grateful for her services. Megan is such an intelligent, comforting and professional person - I highly recommend her for general wellness and prenatal acupuncture services! read more

I am so glad I found Megan! I started seeing Megan a month ago after we had a failed IVF due to lack of very few eggs not fertilizing. I decided to do everything I could to help get a positive outcome for our next IVF. I had never had any acupuncture so I had no clue what to expect. She was great in the first visit and I felt like she did her job very well. The next few visit she was just as good. I believe she has a gift and talent for acupuncture and nutrition. I think everyone women should be seeing Megan and can really help in a well balance life. read more

I received a response from Christine on a post I posted to a mom's group looking for an acupuncturist. I hadn't been having the best experience at my other place so thought I'd try this place. Every time I called (several times) I got a voicemail. The first time I got a call back it was 4 days later. The gal Savannah (office manager) sounded very sweet and caring in her message and left me a cell phone to call but never got an answer there either. The last 3 times I called I never even got a call back. Not sure how this place gets business when they are so difficult to get ahold of. Super disappointed considering I had high hopes for this place based off the reviews and Christine reaching out to me. I guess I'll just leave this here so maybe they can have a chance to fix the issue and so others don't have to deal with what I just dealt with. Bummer... read more

I have had 6 sessions with Dr. Nicole Fujiyama and I have to say it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. She definitely knows her stuff. I had neck, back and shoulder pain 24/7. I had trouble sleeping and doing most activities. After 6 sessions I'm doing so much better. I can now sleep nearly pain free, and I'm back to doing full workouts at the gym. If only my insurance covered acupuncture, I'd be going a lot more. At any rate, Dr. Fujiyama is amazing. Great bedside manner. Explains everything she is doing, tells you what to expect, and really listens to what is hurting. As for the office in general, very clean and quiet. Savannah is super nice up in the front, and they are very accommodating (always offering water, tea, etc...). Highly recommend Megan Joyce Wellness, and definitely recommend Dr. Fujiyama. read more

Came to Megan Joyce Wellness to get acupuncture to help start my labor as my water had been broken for hours and no labor had started. Megan Joyce Wellness was able to see me right away. I saw Kamron Jafari who took a lot of time explaining what his plan was and getting to know us. During the treatment I could feel the contractions somewhat starting. I went home and relaxed and by midnight I was in labor and had my sweet baby boy by 9am the following day. Thank you Megan Joyce Wellness! read more

This is a long overdue review! I can't say enough amazing things about Joyce Wellness and my acupuncturist, Tara. I came to them heading into my third round of IVF, one of them being a failed cycle. Out of two rounds (22 eggs) I had one healthy embryo, I was pretty defeated. I saw Tara once a week leading up to my third round and followed a set protocol they have prior to your egg retrieval. It was my most successful round yet, 7 healthy embryos! I continued with Tara through my mock cycle and my first transfer (a different protocol). Happy to report we are 15 weeks with a baby girl! I'm still going to Tara for nausea and prenatal care, I can't get enough of her. Everything about this practice is professional, they care. Savannah is the office manager, she's amazing. Easy to reach, quick to respond, checks in and is always accommodating. Thanks to all the staff at Joyce Wellness, I'll be forever in your debt! read more

I saw Megan in April, 2012. I was only able to see her for an initial consultation/treatment since my insurance company led me to believe I would be covered for acupuncture, when I actually was not covered. Megan followed up with my insurance company and phoned me to let me know. She offered to give me a discounted rate since I am unemployed. She handled the situation very professionally and with concern for me and my sore back. As for the treatment, Megan has a calmness about her, listens very well, and explains the procedure very well. I absolutely recommend her to everyone. read more

Megan is simply the best and you should go out of your way to see her. She digs very deep into what your issues are before treating you because she genuinely cares about what you are trying to accomplish with your sessions. I have never felt rushed in any of our sessions because she always takes her time in explaining what she's doing. She is extremely professional and makes sure you are comfortable before whipping out the needles and getting the poke party started. I always look forward to my next visit! read more

Megan is the best of the best. I first started seeing her a few years ago when I was experiencing lack of sleep, anxiety, and work-related stress. Being new to acupuncture, I was a bit hesitant about any pain I might feel during the treatment, but she instantly made me feel comfortable and was able to give me a treatment that was pain-free, and left me more relaxed than I had been in years! Not only is she a gifted acupuncturist, but during her consultations, she gives advice on how you can better whatever's ailing you. She has one of the warmest personalities of anyone I've met, and truly cares about all her patients. read more

I saw Megan for about 2 years as I was trying to get pregnant with my second child. I miscarried once, but she helped me get pregnant again. I believe that her care and in- depth knowledge has definitely helped me get pregnant. At every appointment, she always gave me her full attention and was always very calm and nurturing. She inspired me to be calm as well. I just gave birth to a healthy girl last month and I am so grateful and thankful to Megan for all that she's done. I would recommend her to anyone who's looking to get pregnant. She's awesome!!! read more

I really enjoyed my whole first experience with Megan Joyce. My first of many future appointments with her was for my infant whom she cared for so well. I was more than impressed by the cleanliness and therapeutic feel her office gave off. I appreciate doctors like Joyce. Keep curing xo read more

I saw Kristin Hauser before the birth of my son in August of 2015. She is amazing. I had back pain during my pregnancy and within a few sessions it was gone! I would highly recommend Kristin whether pregnant or not. read more

This review is wayyyy overdue. I'd never tried Acupuncture before but after struggling with fertility issues, I was willing to try anything/everything. Megan is truly amazing! She has a gift for what she does & such a sweet, kind person. She makes you feel instantly comfortable & the needles are painless. She's changed my life..literally because we're now almost due with our first baby! She also helped with my nutrition & I'm now a happier, healthier self. Thank you Megan for all your support & for being such a caring professional. Your wisdom & knowledge is beyond anything I've experienced in the medical world. Super friendly staff. Very clean office. I came in to be induced into labor. I was charged $175 and it did absolutely nothing. They wanted me to come back and pay for more sessions with no guarantees. I was already out all that money with zero results. I was not about to spend a couple hundred more for the same outcome. I had to be induced at the hospital three days later. That was awful but at least effective. read more

I started going to Megan for acupuncture a few months ago because I've had chronic knee pain going back several years. I'm not an expert on the ins and outs of acupuncture but the simple result is that the pain's largely subsided since I started treatment. The core treatment varies each time but there are some constants. First, Megan has a very calming and professional demeanor - which is good because I'm a little skittish about needles. Second, I think she does a good job of explaining what she's doing and why she's doing it - I ask a lot of questions as a patient and Megan handles them patiently. Lastly, I think she is very holistic in her approach. I pay for the acupuncture but I generally come away with helpful recommendations about nutrition, exercise ... general wellness. I think the point of going to a specialist like Megan is, you want to feel like you're constantly moving in a good direction. I feel that way, and trust her, and feel very comfortable referring her to others. read more

I had become very ill during and after the birth of my second child. I had carpel tunnel, dequervains tendonitis, and severe joint pain all over my body. I could barely hold a cup in my hand, I couldn't dress myself and I definitely couldn't drive a car. The treatments that Megan provided SAVED me and I am forever in her debt. Her treatments allowed me to regain my physical strength and emotional stability and Megan gave me my life back. Megan is the best acupuncturist I've ever been to. I went to 3 acupuncturists prior to finding Megan and she is hands down the BEST practitioner and diagnostician. She is professional and truly listens to her patients and treats accordingly. Megan has a very special touch when it comes to the way she inserts the needles and I leave her office feeling fabulous. She also is a very grounded person and lives her life as such. I have recommended Megan to everyone I know that needs acupuncture and they have all been very happy with her treatments. If I miss an appointment with Megan, my body is just not the same. She keeps my chronic joint pain under control to the point that sometimes I forget I have pain! Imagine that! read more

What would I do without Megan? I went to see Megan to help with my sleepless nights and for help with fertility. I had never tried acupuncture before. She has completely changed by body for the better - I now sleep like a rock and she has helped me understand so much about my body - definitely helping with my fertility issues. She is always available for questions and she is a good listener - I never feel pressured or rushed like I do with doctors. She has also helped with hip pain through cupping. read more

Megan is amazing! I am so glad I found her! She helped me with prenatal acupuncture and I couldn't be more thankful. I had tried a few other acupuncturists and didn't feel they were effective. Finally, it was 10 days after my due date with my first child and I was ready to meet my baby girl...I had tried everything but I hadn't progressed one bit. Since I still wasn't dilated yet, my doctor scheduled me to be induced but I really wanted to give birth naturally. So, I went to see Megan and the next morning my water broke! I couldn't believe it! I have no doubt that I have her treatments to thank for being able follow my birth plan - at least as close as anyone can. Whether it is your first time or you are an old pro when it comes to getting acupuncture, Megan is the person to see. She helped through the most life-changing experience and now I am excited to see her for general wellness and anything else that comes up! read more

As a collegue of Acupuncutre Medicine, I started seeing Megan over a year ago to stay healthy and keep up with my wellbeing. I began seeing Megan two weeks into my first pregnancy and continued to come in for weekly treatments until the birth of my daughter (and beyond). I have been treated by a number of acupuncturists over the last fourteen years and can honestly say that Megan has been one of the best. She is professional and thorough and I looked forward to seeing her every week; her warmth and genuine care for my health and well-being were unsurpassed. Megan helped ease any muscle pains and aches I had, particularly in the latter months when my walk became a waddle, and I'm convinced that it was largely due to her treatments that my pregnancy and birth were as easy as they were. I cannot recommend her services enough to anyone who is interested in finding practitioner who is truly dedicated to this healing art and to learning about new techniques to help her patients. read more

It's hard for me to convey what a blessing Megan and her team have been in my fertility journey (read struggle) over the past five years. I first saw Megan after dealing with recurring miscarriage and a long bout of infertility. I had never done acupuncture before and quite frankly, I was skeptical. Megan's genuine and caring demeanor quickly alleviated my initial fears and skepticism and the treatment has since become a truly enjoyable experience for me. Megan has treated me in parallel with my fertility specialists, providing acupuncture treatment and just as importantly, loving moral and emotional support during an IVF protocol that was cancelled and converted to an IUI. That IUI resulted in a pregnancy and the birth of my baby boy. I could not be more grateful to Megan for both the acupuncture treatment and moral support I received along the way having been a nervous wreck after experiencing miscarriages. Skipping forward a couple years, I was told by multiple doctors that it was unlikely I would conceive naturally (or at least may take a long time) because I had only one tube and a low AMH score. Nevertheless, I went to see Megan to try to normalize and understand my cycle. Shortly thereafter and much to everyone's surprise, I became pregnant with my baby girl. Please go see her if you are struggling with fertility! read more

Acupuncture is not something I ever really considered, to be honest. I was talked into trying it after more than 10 months of acute pain from a shoulder injury. I'm a scientist by trade and naturally sceptical of a lot of Eastern medical practice, particularly as much of it tends to come "bundled" with nutritional and lifestyle advice, which is usually expensive and unmeasurable in terms of efficacy. One thing I can measure, though, is my own pain. After two treatments my pain was reduced from an 8 to a 2, and after four treatments it's holding steady at a 1, all on a scale of 1-10. My range of motion and strength have improved to the point where I can actually work out properly again after close to a year. That is after months of ineffective physical therapy, cortisone injections and chiropractic work. I don't have a way to compare Megan's practice to other acupuncturists, but I can compare it to the treatment I have received in Western practices for this particular complaint, and it's the only thing that has been in any way effective. Her approach is friendly, professional and thorough, and - another plus compared to most practitioners Eastern or Western that I have gone to in recent years - she's on time. No hours-long waiting room experiences. Her offices are clean and welcoming, and the treatments and overall approach are relaxing.I have come out on each occasion feeling better than when I went in. read more
