I called ahead and was told there was a 15-minute grace period. I walked in at 11:16 AM, and Dr. Parikh flat-out refused to see me, providing zero explanation or flexibility for being one minute late. As a first-time expectant mom, these appointments mean the world to me. To be turned away after an hour of stressful driving was heartbreaking, but the attitude of the staff made it worse. The receptionists were completely unsympathetic and acted like I was a bother. A little kindness or a simple smile would have gone a long way, especially since turning me away means waiting another three weeks for an appointment. I ultimately decided not to reschedule. This experience completely ruined my trust in this practice, and I will not be returning.

A friend of mine recommended this practice due to her experience with Dr. Jacobs' understanding of…read moreher child-free lifestyle in the past. As a woman in my mid-20's, I've had multiple years of gynaecologists turning me down for a tubal ligation and I turned here most recently due to that recommendation. When making my appointment with Dr. Jacobs, the nurse told me that it would be a good idea to get a letter of support from a therapist. So in the weeks leading up to the appointment I met multiple times with a local therapist to discuss my choice to be childfree and to make sure that I was making said decision with the best intentions. She agreed that I was and wrote me a letter of support. When I went to my appointment I brought said therapist letter, as well as letters of support from my mother and boyfriend who also came to the appointment with me. Dr. Jacobs was warm and kind and supremely understanding. He said that while he thought I did deserve the surgery, it wasn't up to him. Due to my age and lack of children, he would have to go to all of the doctors in the practice and get them to approve the procedure. He told me to give him ten days and then call the office. I left this appointment quite hopeful. I ended up calling three separate times and leaving multiple messages with nurses. Nearly three weeks after said appointment I got a call from a medical assistant telling me that they were moving me forward in the process and I'd be meeting with Dr. Julie Glass to discuss next steps. I was ecstatic! When I went for my appointment with Dr. Glass she made it clear that this wasn't the next step in the process, but that Dr. Jacobs had transferred my case to her. I asked if he had spoken to the doctors to get their approval and I was told by Dr. Glass that all of what he said about that was incorrect, as in, he had blatantly, point blank lied to me and my loved ones. In actuality, the decision about this procedure comes down to the individual doctor. She said that while she supports my ability to choose, she no longer does surgery and wasn't sure why Dr. Jacobs had transferred me to her and not another doctor in the practice who does surgery. I found out then that Dr. Jacobs also doesn't do surgery anymore, which was something he never mentioned. Dr. Glass could tell how frustrated I was and said that only three doctors in the practice do these types of operations and she called them to see if any would be willing to take my case. After nearly 15 minutes out of the office, she returned to say that the only doctor who would consider taking my case was Dr. Block, but that she was relatively sure it wouldn't happen due to my age. She then took me to the front and I scheduled in with Dr. Block. While at the desk, Dr. Jacobs was right nearby and acted like he didn't even know me. I called a couple days later and cancelled my appointment with Dr. Block because after thinking about it for a while I realised that this practice was just stringing me along. They had no intention of doing a tubal for me even though I supplied them with all of the documents and info they asked for. They were using me to bill insurance for full gyno appointments and taking my copay money. It's disappointing to say the least. I've been turned down for tubals multiple times over the years, but I've never had a medical practice conduct themselves so unprofessionally. I've never been treated with such a lack of respect.

She truly cared--she followed up herself, worked tirelessly for her patients & even called to remind you about your annual appointments. That kind of genuine care is long gone. My experience over the last two years has been terrible. Since they expanded, it's like they completely forgot how to treat their patients. They don't remember anything from prior visits, there's barely any follow-through & everything feels rushed & impersonal. Now, they've added insult to injury by announcing that they're going to start charging patients for basic services--things we can't even do ourselves. Even something as simple as a prescription refill feels like you're bothering the nurse or PA. It's crystal clear: they don't care about patient well-being anymore, they just care about squeezing more money out of you. And to top it all off, they had the nerve to send out this email announcing the new fees--while shamelessly promoting their extra services at the bottom. As if we'd want to pay for even more after being told we'll now be charged for the basics. The lack of self-awareness is shocking. I even went back & removed the 5-star review I once left. This office is not what it used to be--it's become disorganized, disconnected & profit-driven. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone anymore.

Why on earth allow the patient to think they are coming for prenatal care when they don't offer it. It's an absolute scam on their end and their office should be flagged for that. I was explained it was NOT covered by insurance (Yeah, I figured that out when you called and said "Administrative Fee", Thanks.) "It is just our office policy to charge this fee". I inquired about what it was for, exactly. (I was wondering if it covered things like the lab work and any extra test they may deem necessary in the treatment of a problem or maybe even a 24/7 type service for any possible emergency questions, things like that I would have been ok with, if they were phenomenal, but nope... ,"It's for any paperwork, forms to fill out and referrals" Huh? "Well, I don't need any of those services"... "It's our office policy" OK. Great. Maybe you should include that in you listing on the insurance sites, your patient portal sites and on the Front Page of your website. That is a ridiculous policy. I work in the medical field. I know how to bill insurance and what is covered. I even understand the frustration of that from your side, but, that is not a good enough reason to drive potential customers away. It's just bad customer service. You should be showing these fees on front page of website and on any insurance sites or just say you are not accepting new patients so you don't waste anyone's time. Why would anyone pay this ridiculous fee and their copay just for a typical annual exam?
