WARNING: NOT LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY…read more My girlfriend and I came here for their beginners salsa class for a date night and had an unfortunate experience with the instructor, Carl. He gave us a hard time for wanting to dance together and called us out mid class saying "well usually it's men as leads and women as followers but hey, it's 2025, who am I to judge." It was uncomfortable and unnecessary to call us out when we just wanted to be treated like what we are...a normal couple on a date night. I reached out to the owner afterwards to see if they could amend the situation and sadly got no response. I wanted to make sure other queer couples didn't have the same experience as us. We will definitely not be returning and will be sure to let others know about our negative experience.

We wanted to do something a little different than the ordinary, that involved a combination of slow and fast dances (e.g., a mashup). We worked with Dasha and she was both brilliant and amazing. She choreographed the whole dance with us, all the while taking into account my very limited dance skills. She made the entire process fun and memorable for my daughter and me. And she helped put together an epic dance that my daughter and I will never forget. The wedding is now 2 weeks past and we (and others) are still talking about it. Thank you Dasha and the entire staff at Ballroom Center for helping us, and for providing such a supportive and encouraging environment. We can't begin to tell you how much we appreciate it. ~Ed

They offer other classes for dance and physical fitness, such as Flex Appeal (flexibility) and At The Barre (adult beginner ballet). They allow drop-in's for certain classes that are affordable, in case you want to try a class that's not pole dancing and don't want to commit to buying a whole class session up front. They also offer a virtual "punch card" online so you can try different classes. There's no drama here: the students and instructors are women aged 18 and up. All shapes, sizes, and fitness levels come here. No one is too big or too old.
