Depending on timing, places like this can be a hit or a miss, but I fear this was a miss! Stopped…read morein for coffee and a sandwich, and we were drawn into the place by the artsy lighting and the foodie atmosphere. (And, it was that mid-afternoon time when it's difficult to find something to eat most places in France.)
I'm reluctant to give the place two stars, as the staff was very kind and attentive, but the sandwich had been sitting in the case for a while, and I've gotta say, it was quite a lot LESS than delicious. We so seldom have food in France that doesn't pass the tasty test, but I'm afraid that's where we landed here.
Maybe we chose the wrong sandwich! Maybe we should have had chocolate instead. But next time we're hungry in Marseille, we'll likely seek out another option.
