Last night, December 15 I went to Academy in Wichita Falls. Selection of fishing tackle was a little thin. There were 12 people in line behind me as well as three in front of me with one cashier. I offered to let six of the people behind me go in front of me because they just had one or two items. Finally, I got to the cashier. As the big, tall manager was walking away, the cashier asked him if he was gonna help, and he just scoffed and walked off and went to the back. Everyone of the employees in the store acted like they were all mad and had terrible attitude. Our family is in the people business in retail sales with 650 employees. We understand how it is with employees with an attitude. They don't work for us if they display this attitude. The customer is King. I will continue to go back to Academy and hopefully the experience will be better. As a follow up. The manager called me the next day. I was impressed that he did so. He invited me to come visit the store again.

I bought a shirt in Fort Worth and returned to this store because it was defective and part of the…read morematerial was shredding. I pointed this out to the associate when I returned it the day after the orginal purchase. I checked and they did not have the product in stock. This morning I ordered it online with another color as well. I received an email very shortly later saying one of the shirts was ready for pickup. I picked it up and checked it when I got the the car. It was the same defective shirt I returned the week before. They just retagged it and sold it again and lucky me, I was the one to get it. I asked for the manager and a woman came up to me though I am not sure she was the actual manager since there was no name tag or label to show her name or position. The only thing she could do was return it and refund me. They could not order it and have it delivered to my home nor could she reinstate the discount or waive shipping if I reordered. I would have to call corporate. **** Update, I had to go to the store today to get the second item in my order that was delivered to this store. I actually talked to the real manager today and she was attentive and seemed to genuinely care about the situation. We talked for a while. She was able to help me recoup my discount of a shirt I bought today and told me when I come back that she will credit me the additional 5.00 Kohl's cash that I lost in the deliver to store option. Hopefully she will also talk to the employees about returns and listening a little better.

The parking lot was clean and had enough space for the other customers to not hit my car. The store itself is gearing up for the increase foot traffic from the Holiday Season.
