It was my second cesarean, and the care I received while I was there was wonderful and incomparable. I didn't get this kind of treatment with my first c-section. They helped me to the restroom when I needed it, and even helped me change my baby--simple things like that really helped me during my visit. I didn't feel neglected or stressed at all. The hospital is very clean, and even the few visitors I had commented on how kind and attentive the staff were. They even offered a free car seat and diaper bag for my baby. Overall, my hospital stay here was great! If I decide to have another baby, I would definitely deliver here again.

I DIDN'T cancel my consultation with Dr. Cosenza, and I'm very glad I didn't. (The OTHER surgery consultation ended up being disastrous.) Dr. Cosenza was kind, professional, and answered the questions I had about my lumpectomy procedure. I had surgery this past Friday and it was one of the easiest things I've been through as far as medical things go. I was scheduled for the first surgery of the day, came out of anesthesia really well (huge thanks to the anesthesiologist), and was home by 11am that day with no need for pain meds or anything. The incisions are quite large, which was expected though. My only complaints were not getting to speak to him after my surgery about how the procedure went, and having it be 5 days before the hospital called to check in on how I was feeling. I go back 11 days after surgery to discuss my pathology and the next steps of my cancer journey. He doesn't work with a plastic surgeon, so had I wanted to get a lift or reduction at the same time, I would have needed to find a different oncology surgeon who worked directly with a plastic surgeon, but I'm choosing to wait til I'm all healed and done with my cancer treatment before I reassess and decide for or against reconstruction. I also wish my incision was a straight line, just for esthetic purposes, though I doubt that's how surgery works. All that said, don't let the negative reviews deter you from seeing Dr. Cosenza. At least have a consultation and see if he's a good fit. He was for me.

Everything regarding what would happen during surgery was explained to me thoroughly, my nurses were lovely (Andre and Wendy), and my post op instructions were clear. I literally went into the surgery as cool as a cucumber...why? BECAUSE I WAS IN EXCELLENT HANDS! Post-op I had zero complications. I followed their recovery suggestions diligently (24 hour ice packs + tramadol) and was walking by the next day. I will add that I'm in excellent shape, which Dr. Wu said was a key factor in my fast turnaround. But make no mistake, this woman is a boss lady who handles business in the operating room. People like this should not be in business if they FAIL to provide service. They seem to be an insurance SCAM.

He was incredibly detailed, patient, and kind throughout the consultation process. I was also honestly impressed when I learned about his educational background, including Harvard, Stanford, and MIT. It gave me confidence that he is someone who truly takes his work seriously and is constantly striving for excellence. My consultant, Eunice, was also extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She guided me through every step, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and always made me feel supported and comfortable.
