I've had joint/knee issues for a majority of my life (loose ligaments, bunions, carpel tunnel…read morehotness, every joint in my body cracking for no reason, obscure double jointedness but not in a cool kind of way, etc.) and his reccomendation wasn't unnecesary surgery, it was proper excercise. I'm a runner, I lift weights, and I love hiking - prior to Dr. Gluck general practioners said, "well, just do no impact excercises" to which i replied, "i don't understand". I was prepared with this entire explanation of how low/no impact excercise simply wasn't an option for me, and i didn't even need it. Apparently, excercise (in my case) actually HELPS with my loose ligaments, wouldn't you know, building the muscles around the areas which support those ligaments is actually better than complete neglect? I have to go back to him to get a Doctor's note to get an ergonomic keyboard and mouse for work (to match my pocket protector and horned rim glasses), and am glad to do so. Also, the location is right around many other doctors as well as the PW hospital, so depending on what you need, it's possible to knock out a few doctors appointments in one day (particularly if you don't work anywhere near manassas and driving out there to go to the doctor is a pain).

He restrung a cadaver ligament through and with PT, I'm almost as good as new. Dr. Weidner has these great qualities: + Pleasant demeanor + Punctuality + A sense of humor! + Brains, you want this from a Doctor. + Excellent surgical skills -- less scarring His office staff is mediocre. They are lax on HIPPA enforcement and can be cranky. It's a tough operation so I can imagine the pressure. I was not pleased to be pressed about picking up a narcotic while I was in the PT office nextdoor. I repeatedly discussed that it was not mine since it was over a month old. I finally asked them to bring it over and it was another patient's with a similar last name. UGH. So, now I see a prescription belonging to someone else and just the lack of attention to detail is unnerving. This doesn't detract from Dr. Weidner as an excellent orthopedic surgeon as in most medical offices is the case. You can trust your parts with him! Additionally, the location of where he holds surgery is the most amazing experience I've ever had. I felt well cared for and as if I was emerging from heaven upon coming out of anesthesia. The best!

Based on reviews we were slightly hesitant to see the recommended doctor from the hospital (was NOT…read moreimpressed with the hospital I was sent to) However, I broke my humerus shaft after being bucked off my horse out on the trail. Generally I do not come this far for medical services, but Dr. Highfill was the recommendation from the hospital I went to as the fall happened at the Nokesville Park. Dr. Highfill was professional, humble and personable. He was patient and waited for my responses and made a point to ask/investigate previous injuries I had with curiosity. He had a sense of humor that many need in a time of uncertainty. He gave me both options for the repair of my arm and did not try and persuade me one way or the other. However, given my demand to be active again I went with surgery to repair the arm. Which was scheduled the following day. Dr. Highfill came in prior to surgery to let me know everything they were planning to do and the layout of recovery. Warning me of any possibilities during surgery, etc. Again, his sense of humor came into play and made the experience pleasant when warning me how effective the block on my arm would be. Surgery was efficient and while I have plenty of mending to do as the surgery was just yesterday (4/11/17) I am VERY happy with Dr. Highfill being the performing surgeon on my arm and I'd highly recommend him. Even based on previous reviews of this Doctor I did not witness any of the behavior listed negatively in other reviews.

This had to be the worst experience I have ever had in a doctor's office. I took my mother in because she is having a lot of sever pain in her knee that started suddenly about four weeks ago. He left us in the exam room almost an hour without anyone saying anything to us. I opened the door to see if anyone knew we were still there. The nurse asked if he had come in yet and I said no. About 30 seconds later he burst into the room and started telling my mother what the problem was without even listening to her. He was saying that a scratch on her knee was due to he falling on her knee and that was the problem. I told him he was not listening, the scratch is a week old, the knee pain is a month old so it could not be causing the knee pain. He then that "she is just old and she needs to walk on the knee more". I told him she could not walk on the knee when she is in that much pain. He said that some people are just more wimps than others and looked at my mother for a reaction. He said there was nothing that could be done short of a full knee replacement. He opened the door and said "we'll get that for your mother." I asked what will we get her? He said a follow-up appointment. I asked him why we would do that, you just said that there is nothing that could be done and that she is just an old wimp. He said "well, we can look at it again in a couple of months". I only wish I could give a zero rating.

This is not a free service, we pay high dollars for their service so this office staff and its management needs to treat the patients with dignity and good customer service. When I called I was told, take it or leave it and no better alternative was provided. Ruth and pathetic service from their front office is simply unacceptable.

I hesitated as making a decision to undergo knee replacement surgery was not something to be taken lightly. After trying physical therapy and injections it was decided that surgery was the path needed. Do not hesitate to use this practice and Drs Knight and Weidner! Pre op to post op the care and attention to detail has been phenomenal!! I'm so glad I entrusted my care to this practice! You should as well. Any provider you see will deliver the BEST care!

Dr Highfill was great . However the billing dept is absolutely horrible…read more I presented two insurances when I arrived and they took both and scanned them into the system. I came back for a follow up and told them I had a bill for a co-pay sent to my house . They apologized and said that they didn't have the second insurance on their file so I figured it was an innocent mistake.. I gave them the insurance again and they scanned it in a second time. News to me a month later I get another bill saying that I still owe a $50 co-pay. I called them back and they had both insurances on file. However, the billing department in Florida did not have a copy of the second insurance so they forwarded it to them ... or so I was told. Next thing you know I'm getting late payments on file called no less than three times and was assured that it would be taken care of. I continue to get late payments in the mail . So I took off a day of work and physically went down to Ortho Virginia and to show them both of my insurances physically in person and told them for the sixth time that I continue to get bills in the mail . They assured me they would take care of it... I guess they never took care of it. Fast forward to today.... I get a collection agency in the mail for a bill of $50. I went online and paid it and I'm done with these folks. Their billing department will be the demise of this organization.
