Professional, great communication, beautiful healthy babies. All of them. Josie is one of those people who lives her life to take care of little ones. She has gone so far above and beyond for these dogs. Keeps them all happy and her babies born to her mamas are simply the most beautiful puppies ever. She will tell you how it is and what to expect and always answer any questions even in the future. If they have to do with one of her babies she will bend over backwards to help you out!! Thanks Josie!

Part 1: I thought I had found a good hearted, decent Yorkie breeder to buy from. In her Facebook group it appears that she's the perfect breeder. It didn't seem like she had as many dogs as her most recent inspection shows (report attached, and link to the USDA inspection query below). If you look at her website she has 42 breeding dogs listed. When I initially made my deposit to buy a puppy only half, or a little over half, that number were listed. Her June 2022 inspection report shows that she had 70 adult dogs and 57 puppies, for a whopping total of 127 dog's onsite. Had I known that figure, I would probably not have chosen her as a breeder. (Side note, in her group she shares the first page of the inspection report-except one from before this year.) I feel as if this is some sort of deceptive practice on her part to not look too much like a puppy mill, since my first thought upon seeing that number was that it was and I didn't research enough before buying. People in the group are so happy with their little fur angels and people highly recommend her. That's great for them. My experience, however, was not. Now I will begin my story. I saw the cutest little blueberry merle tweed Yorkie in her group and immediately knew he had to be mine. As soon as she listed him I reached out to her and made my deposit. When I inquired about his charting weight (I was actually hoping he would be a little bit bigger than what she said he was charting) since he was the only puppy not to have a charting weight listed on her website, she sent me a chart and said about 4.5 lbs (to sum up the conversation). At almost 8 weeks, but not quite 8 yet, she responded to someone's comment that he weight was a little over 19 oz. When I looked back at the chart she provided, it look like he was charting a little over 3.5 lbs. She even made a comment that had she known he was going to be that small she would have kept him. I knew at that point I did not want to fly him. I kept in contact with her about the day he would be ready, originally she said at 8 weeks, so we decided to change the destination of our vacation to Springfield so that at the end of our trip we could pick him up and bring him home. When it got a little closer to the pick-up date, I asked if she thought he'd be ready. She said he was having a little trouble weaning, but would keep me updated. A couple of days before our vacation I made a final inquiry as to if he'd be ready by Oct. 28th. She said he probably wouldn't, but might be by the next week. Fast forward to November 5th, the day we picked up our little Hopper. He was such a joy, and was such a great car rider on our long journey home to AL from MO (it took us 13 hours to get back home, as we got lost leaving from Josie's and it took us forever to get a signal to get Maps back up). As soon as we got home he was playing up a storm, then he sneezed. I didn't think anything of it, as our adult yorkie often sneezes sometimes when he plays. The next morning we work up and he sneezed and some snot came out with it, and he sneezed a little bit during the day, but he was still playing and eating well. Then Monday came and I had to go to work to get out an appeal for its deadline. My daughter was home watching him to make sure he ate when he was supposed to and to put him on pee pad to do his business. She called me at 8 and said he wouldn't eat his food. I told her to give him some Nutrical and try again to feed him in a couple of hours, if he didn't eat, to give him Nutrical every 3-4 hours. My daughter called me later in the day and said he still wouldn't eat, he'd been sleeping all day and his nose was really runny. I told her as soon as I got home I would check him out. When I got home, his nose was indeed very runny, as was one of his eyes. However, he was alert when I woke him up and he sat in my lap watching TV (he seemed to really like watching TV) and he was drinking water and staying hydrated. I decided we would take him to the vet the next morning to get him checked out. Little did I know that there would be no next morning. He died in the middle of the night. https://buffaloreflex.com/stories/two-persons-sentenced-others-receive-probation-for-crimes,12142 https://www.insideprison.com/state-inmate-search-in-correctional-facility.asp?st_abb=MO&facility=district%2020%20probation%20%26%20parole%20&a=500 (list goes alphabetically by last name - Lehmann) https://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-8th-circuit/1063928.html https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/details?name=Josie%20Davidson&citystatezip=Weaubleau%2C%20MO&rid=0x0 https://aphis-efile.force.com/PublicSearchTool/s/inspection-reports

I looked at countless breeders for a small dog to join our family after losing my 15 year old big dogs within months of each other. Absolutely nobody compared with Josie. She devotes her life to these puppies and it SHOWS. My Peggy is a shitzu/yorkie (shorkie) and she is a happy, healthy, rambunctious little girl who helping fill the void we had. Josie cares deeply for each and every one of her animals. She is attentive and always there to help, but she makes it clear the animals come FIRST! Anybody who wants a pampered, loved and healthy puppy would be delighted with one of Josie's babies.

Josie is excellent! Highly, highly recommend her pups. We have one that we have now had for 10 years. We also have family that have some of Josie's babies. Best breeder I have ever known. She loves them all and spends time socializing them. They are happy and healthy. read more

Pup ended up having a birth defect that was not found until she passed. Would not recommend as dogs are breed too small to be healthy.

I have two of Josie's babies in my home. I have Aubrey who is a chocoberry Merle Yorkie and Sadie Mae who is a blueberry Merle Chorkie which is a Chihuahua Yorkie mix. Both girls arrived healthy up to date on vaccinations well socialized well-handled and as the sweetest most loving puppies. They also arrived pad trained. Josie and her assistant Mary take very good care of every puppy they bring into this world. They obviously love each and every one of them, and it shows when you get them home. Josie runs a very tight ship and is always busy and doing her best to update the new parents, and answer any questions you may have both before and after your little one gets home to you. I've had Aubrey for 2 years and Sadie just a little over a year, and Josie is still available, accessible, and approachable for any questions or just to check in and say hi. Immediately after getting Aubrey we became Facebook friends and are able to keep each other updated. For all intents and purposes we are Family connected by these little ones and the love we have for them. All and all, I highly recommend Josie's Joys, and if I could have all the dogs, she would be my go to. 100% read more

Every week of wait is a week of love. I thought this was family but it's no longer the same after a word of change caused me pain and tears. My only advice is don't love the puppy too much until you receive it as the final decision is with Josie. I did not expect that asking to pick up the dog in person instead of letting him shipped thru cargo caused the pain where I will never get to see my little one. Wish my cute little white furball to find the best family, you will forever be part of my family book even though I never got to see you. I thank Josie for the support of my previous puppy from her but sadly leaving the family. read more

Josie and her place is amazing. I drove and picked up my baby who is just over a year old now. The place is clean inside and out. The moms and babies are well cared for and vetted . I have never been so happy with the way the dogs are treated. She is still on my dogs life for extended questions and loves to see picture updates. Her records on every mom , daddy and baby are incredible. read more

If your looking for a quality puppy look no further than Josies Joys, Josie is the real deal, she goes above and beyond for all her dogs and their puppies! She puts them first before herself! Her Kennels are cleaned and beautiful with climate controls, her home is a nursery filled with furbabies and they all receive so much love and attention. I purchased our parti Yorkie Kobe in 2020 and he's the best dog I've ever owned, so smart and beautiful! The wait and adoption process can take some time because she's very choosy who adopts her babies, but let me tell you the wait is worth it! I'm getting ready to adopt another Yorkie baby from her because I'll never go anywhere else. All of us that purchased babies are one big family! I've met so many wonderful people through Josies Joys and I'm so grateful she chose me for Kobe, even though he loves my Granddaughter more than anyone and is really her dog hence the reason I'm getting another read more

After a lot of research and recommendations we decided to go with Josie. She sold the first dog we picked "accidentally " to someone else. I wanted reassurance it wouldn't happen again and offered to pre-pay in advance. She stated it was not necessary and all I needed to do was fill out her on line application and put down a $100.00 dollar deposit which I did. That was September 19th. We never discussed a delivery date and I just assumed around 12 weeks or when she made weight. I only heard from Josie twice where she asked me what her name would be. October 25th, around 8:00 pm, she FB texted me for the very first time anything about travel arrangements and I said, "I will be out of state all next week for work so please coordinate the date with me. "She stated, "I was scheduling it for the first as we discussed." I never, ever had a conversation with her about travel. I wanted to give her grace so I replied: "I have a terrible memory!! I don't recall discussing a date... the 1st should be okay.... But I am leaving for CA, Monday-Can we do it closer to the 4th to be safe? She said " I guess, I"ve already submitted the request and I will have to make an extra trip to the vet." I looked back through my texts with her again, and there's was Nothing... so I responded, " When did we talk about a date? I just don't recall at all? I can't find it in our texts. How old is she I was expecting her around 12 weeks, we Never discussed it and if I were home on the 1 st I would gladly have been at the airport. Next, my Apple Pay goes off and I have a $100 refund from her!! And then she sends a text that says: "ok Jamie I have returned your deposit. Thank you for your interest and good luck to you I hope you find the baby you are looking for." I literally could not believe it. I was not rude in any way whatsoever. I even took the blame saying I have a terrible memory but there are NO TEXTS between us and we Never spoke over the phone. It just got increasingly worse after this. I explained I was totally confused, that I did not recall ever coordinating any of it, I played dumb, I apologized profusely. Then she tells me: "I should not have told her the 1st was okay." I literally said okay to the 1st 2 seconds ago!! I asked her to please review our texts, that maybe she had me confused with another mom. To which she abruptly replied "No she didn't". Then she proceeded to tell me: "She did not have a good feeling about me, that she hadn't for a long time because I was not excited to receive the pup and most people are so excited to name their baby and can't wait to get them. That she would not argue, she's made up her mind. To fix the situation that was way out of hand I offered to fly home Thursday night to be available to pick up my baby Friday at the airport. This is a WORK TRIP. So now I'm jeopardizing my my job to try and please her! I offered to pay the additional fees! I told her I foster with a local rescue and that my last 2 pups are from the rescue and I could provide letters of recommendation. I did everything I could to salvage it. I offered to pay the balance of the pup on the spot $2k. Then she makes it about her money and time. She claimed that she didn't have time and it costs her more money to cancel the flight and re- book and re-vet check because she I had agreed to the 1st and then wanted to reschedule ( but I already offered to pick her up on the 1st and/ or to pay any fees. There was not a resolution. She didn't want one!! So let me get this straight. I picked the pup In September, she doesn't text me again until October 12th- on October 25th WITHOUT ANY COORDINATION or speaking to me - I'm a GOOD ENOUGH MOTHER for her to book and pay a flight on the 1st and Only When she texts me to say it will be the 2nd airport listed on my adoption application and I let her know I'm out of state and ask her to coordinate the flight with me ( because I'm completely unaware it has already been booked) that then I become an unfit mother and she cancels my adoption!?? THE END. THATS IT! Just like that. read more

Just wanted to leave a quick review on Josie. I lost my pup 3 years ago and was not planning on ever getting another until I met my girlfriends dog. I FELL IN LOVE! I knew I needed to fill that hole in my heart and chose to go to the same breeder my gf used... Josie! I adopted Willa a month ago and shortly after adopted Piper for my parents. They had to put their Yorkie to sleep 5 years ago and also vowed never again would they go through the heartache... UNTIL they met Willa! So I surprised them with Piper. Josie's babies are so loved and absolutely adorable! They were basically potty pad trained by the time they came home (very few accidents) and were the sweetest babies. I can't imagine life without these two! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Josie!!! read more

I had the best experience with Josie. She treats these babies as if they were her own kids. They are treated better than some children!! She is a conscientious breeder who loves every one of these babies and spends many sleepless nights tending to them. I've had my little Hershey now for over a year and have recommended "Gramma Josie" to many friends. If I ever get another furbaby it will come from her. She is the best!!! She gives you lifetime support and really cares about the future of the babies. Thank you Josie for being WONDERFUL!!! read more

I purchased a puppy from Josie 7 months ago. I paid for a parti Yorkie. He now weighs about 20 pounds. He's a great dog and I love him but he's not a Yorkie. When I picked him up at her home I noticed the backyard was just wooden crates on top of each other with the adult breeders. She lives the puppies because she's cashing in but the moms are in the back having multiple litters and kept in wooden crates. She's a con. Glorified puppy mill. Don't buy from her. read more
