I'm not one to usually complain, and I'm definitely not the type of person to would go out of their way to write a review after a poor experience; however, thanks to the office manager on Dr. Ehrlich's staff, I have took a moment out of my day to create a yelp profile just to write a review of my experience.
First of all, if you must go to this office for dental care, do yourself a favor and request Melissa. She was the dental hygienist who did my x-rays and initial cleaning. She was amazing.
I only met Dr. Ehrlich for a quick moment. He did seem to be a genuinely caring person, however he seemed preoccupied.
My main issue with my experience at Dr. Ehrlich's office stems from when I was scheduling my follow up appointment before leaving. That's when my interaction with Robin began. She was on the phone, presumably scheduling another patient's appointment when I went to the counter. I was in no hurry to leave and was not at all bothered by the fact that she was on the phone, it was her actions that followed that caused a great deal of distress for me. Once Robin was off the phone Melissa attempted to explain to her what follow up procedures I needed to be scheduled for. Robin quickly cut off Melissa stating that she already knew. Robin then looked for available appointments for me, at which point she stated the earliest was two weeks out. I asked if that was for both procedures to be completed at the same time, to which she replied yes. I then stated that if I could get in earlier for one of the procedures, a night guard for my TMJ - which would only fit over my bottom four front teeth, I would prefer to do that first. She then stated that she could get me in this coming Tuesday at 4 p.m. I agreed, and she entered it into her computer and then wrote it on a scheduling card for me. I then waited for a second, thinking that we would schedule and appointment for my second procedure; lord, was I wrong. What followed was a back and forth conversation of Robin telling me that I could not do one procedure without doing the other at the same time and that I could not do both next Tuesday and so on and so on. My confusion, which I repeatedly stated, was why she had even scheduled an appointment for me the following Tuesday if she's now saying that I can't even go through with it. Then, in the middle of our discussion, Robin looks me straight in the eye and states "Do you have a problem with me? If you have a problem with me then you need to tell me now, because I'm starting to take this very personally." To say I was blown away at this point is the understatement of the century. We were discussing why I couldn't do one procedure with out the other and why she had even scheduled me for something that she is now telling me I can't do. At no point in this conversation were either of our voices raised, nor were any demeaning or derogatory comments or language used. She repeated the above statement several times whenever I simply stated that no, I did not have a problem. At that point, with being utterly disgusted with the way she was talking to me as well as the severe pain I was in, I told her to just schedule me for whatever would work, which turned out to be the appointment two weeks out. I then immediately left, utterly disgusted. I could not believe that this woman had just spoken to me in such an accusatory manner, which was entirely unfounded and unjustified. Based on her interpretation of "customer service" I will never set another foot in that office. Hopefully, her attitude and actions do not continue to hurt Dr. Ehrlich's business. read more
