The man on the phone was very rude and had an attitude. He thought he was on hold but he was not. I do not recommend this agency.

I had been doing business with this insurance company since I bought my first car when I was 16…read moreyears old. I continued to stay with them throughout the years when I purchased my first home and when it was time for me to get life insurance for both my husband and I. We've insured many cars and more than one home over the past 45 years and all with Farm Bureau. Obviously, we had several different policies and our agent was supposed to let me know when each one had been paid in full so that my monthly payment would go down. I really never gave it much thought until one day when I learned that we had a new agent. After speaking with him and pressing him for more information about these policies he finally told me that we had quite a bit of money just sitting there! That we had been overpaying for years and no one bothered to contact us! So, one afternoon, the three of us, my husband, Kevin Tran, the FB agent and myself all sat down and he spread out several policies... I cannot recall exactly how many there were but together they totaled somewhere around $15,000. It may have been more or it may have been a bit less. As I said, I simply don't remember. So, we signed everything that he gave us and, he explained each one as we were signing. I believe it took about an hour and a half to go through everything and to sign each document. We shook hands and parted ways. A few days later Kevin called me and said that he accidentally had (somehow) managed to put my active life policy in with the documents that we had signed and that I was now walking around with no life insurance! He went on to say that Farm Bureau was not going to renew me as a member either! Because I suffer from depression! And, because I have back problems with terrible arthritis I must take pain medication! These are the reasons why a business that I have been with for over 45 YEARS REFUSES TO INSURE ME! I have to wonder how many people who they presently insure are taking something for depression? Almost everyone today is suffering from some form of depression and I would be willing to bet that the not so sweet woman who spoke to me on the phone, the very same woman who said to me "call us when you get off the pills! When you're feeling more sane. We will take another look at your situation at that time. Until then, don't call us!" ...is taking something! In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that there were at least two out of five people in that office taking some sort of medication for their mental health. It's our society, our lifestyle, our environment, the world we live in and our perceptions about who we are and where we fit in. No one can say that these issues are not real and that they have no bearing or impact on their lives. Some people may deal with some things better than others or, perhaps they just don't show their emotions or share their thoughts. But I can promise you, everyone feels the pressure. The point that I'm trying to make here about Farm Bureau is that they were wrong in what they did to me! I was a very good customer. I never paid them a day late! Not once! And the fact that they could use depression as an excuse to not insure me after they, THEY SCREWED UP MY POLICY in the first place? No! These are just some bad, very bad people who did me wrong! Be careful and don't let this happen to you! Over 45 years of goodwill... it meant nothing!
