My suit jacket is destroyed and I got yelled at for it for some reason she was really rued, yelled at me, kept saying to me "you people always do this" which was really racist and offensive. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING. This is not Josey's anymore they are located on Fortune rd! It switched to new owners and it shows I had been going to the location under the assumption that it was Josey's Alterations and they do not inform you otherwise that they have changed management/ ownership.The last few times has not been a pleasant experience and I noticed the price keeps going up. In a rush for services I still proceeded with the transaction.This day(12/5/22) I came in needing alterations for a holiday dress. My neighbor came as well as we are attending the same event and she also needed alterations. I tried my dress on and advised the new owner what I needed. I needed the dress hemmed, and the split higher and Jaileen suggested one strapped shortened. I proceeded to check out and was told my alterations could not be completed until Thursday or Friday. The original owner of this shop would do alterations the same day if she was not crowded. The daughter of the new owner( Jaileen) advised me my alterations would cost me a total of $96 to include taxes. I was taken aback by the price and my neighbor responded that was more than the price of dress. I responded "I have been coming here for years and this is probably the most you all have ever charged me." The daughter keeps saying "it's okay...it's okay. I said "no, it's really not". In attempt to salvage the negotiations I ask how much just for the strap adjustment and higher split she gives another price just as outlandishly overpriced as the first price of 50 plus tax. At this point highly frustrated I stated "Give me my sh@!" The daughter said "I did not have to say that" the only fault I will take in the situation as I allowed this younger female who did not understand the importance of a loyal customer that they we sure to lose. The young lady still proceeds to say "it's okay we have plenty of customers!" I said "well you just lost one !". My neighbor asked for her dress back and the daughter all but threw the dress at her. Her mother was with her and was planning to come get her dress altered. After I left Jaileen's Alterations, I noticed the name change. I call my friend and ask her since when did Josey's switch to Jaileen's and proceeded to tell her what just occurred. She was upset as she too goes to Josey's on 1934 Fortune Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34744. She told me go there because that one is typically better. I proceed to go there. The line was long, but I patiently waited. The one and only Josey finally got to me and I took my neighbor's dress and asked for her alterations. Josey asked me to try on my dress. I proceed to tell her what I need and she proceeded to pin me up and offered better suggestions for split to be heightened requiring less hemming at the bottom. Without asking she said I can fix it today if you wait. While she is still pinning me up. I asked her when she sold her plaza del sol location as I usually went to that location, but I noticed the name change and proceeded to come here. She lightly chuckled and proceeded to tell me. She and her husband split a little over 3 years ago and he wanted that location. She said he was having an affair with the lady who now runs that location, Jaileen. I assumed it still belonged to her as I always saw her husband. I proceeded with my transaction. It took Josey all of 40 mins or less to complete alterations and she charged me $30 taxes included for 2 dresses. Jaileen's alterations is a business built on the back of another's woman's hard work and reputation that she is potentially ruining with her customer service and mediocre alterations skills. Please go visit the real Josey's on Fortune rd. After speaking with a few people we all assumed Plaza del Sol was still Josey's. I do not write post normally bashing customer service but Jaileen's is tarnishing another person business, the real Josey's Alterations. read more

Bought that pair of pants that you just loved when you saw them at the store, but when you got home you realized they were too long? Well, have no fear, Josey's here! This place really is great! It's a small mom/pop place in the far corner of Plaza del Sol by Ross, but it really is one of the few gems of the place. All the staff members are hard at work when you walk in, but one of them will immediately stop and give you their full on attention. They'll ask you what it is that you want, and after you explain they'll have you go in the fitting room and put on the article of clothing. After that you'll be brought to a mirror where they'll make the adjustment and that's it. Depending on what it is, it may take as short as 15 minutes. (I know that's how long it took for pant hemming) They're also very inexpensive, with a hem costing you nothing more than $6.99!! That's crazy awesome. Seriously, this place is great! If you ever find yourself stuck in Kissimmee with really long pants and need them to be fixed ASAP, Josey's Alteration is the place. One of the few places of value in the plaza for sure! The whole staff is very friendly and very likeable and they want to make sure that they help you with whatever it is you need. Honestly, they really look like they enjoy what they do every day. I needed 2 dresses altered. My usual tailor relocated during Covid so, after reading reviews I decided to try Josey's Alterations. I dropped my dresses off 12 days before I needed them. They told me it would be a week. I put the dresses on- one was about 2 sizes too big, the other was about 8" too long. The woman pinned the hem and used chalk on the other dress. I asked to keep the extra fabric on the dress being hemmed and the lady said sure. They changed me $30 to size down the dress (a fine price for the work needed) and $20 to hem the other one which was super steep since it was a simple thin cotton fabric that just needed a hem. They make you pre-pay. I come back a week later and they hand me my dresses and try to make me pay again. No, I prepaid. They say "okay. Bye!" I ask if I should try them on and where the leftover material was. They didn't know (they eventually found it after searching in a scrap pile) and when I saw them, I knew that something was wrong. I go and try the dresses on and the one that needed to be taken in was fine but the simple one that needed to be hemmed 8"? It had only been hemmed 3"! I come out of the fitting room and tell them it's wrong. The guy says "it's fine" and when I said it wasn't he answered "okay we'll fix it. Come back next Monday" It's a week to do 2 dresses and now a week to fix your mistake? I needed the dress for this weekend so I waited and they fixed it then while talking about me in Spanish in front of me (I don't look like I speak Spanish but I do). They did give me the fabric back but because they screwed up the first time it's now in 2 pieces and I can't use it for the project I had intended. TL;DR- pricey alterations, hit or miss quality, didn't follow directions/pins that they placed, no apology for incorrect/incomplete work. read more

This place gets way too crowded for you to actually get good customer service. In my experience they didn't take CC cards even do I saw a POS system there so bring cash. The suit jackets I took there to have their sleeves taken were taken in too much making them way short. They made ZERO attempts to rectify or make it right. Unimpressed. Josey and her employees are very kind, but I would not recommend them for suit tailoring based on my experience. I brought them a brand new, $780 suit for hemming and bringing in the jacket a bit, and I am just hopeful that another tailor can fix the sub-par work done here. When I went to pick up the suit, the main back seam in the jacket was bunched up and had a flap folded over the seam on the OUTSIDE, completely unacceptable. The staff kind of fixed it on the spot, but it still looks far inferior to the exact same jacket I had altered at another shop in my home state (see pics). The sleeves are uneven and bunched along the seams, and the buttons aren't even straight. The pant hem is uneven in one leg, and in both legs you can see the stitches around the entire circumference. I feel sick because I just spent so much on this beautiful suit, then more on the tailoring, only to have it look bad. If I hadn't had to rush to the airport I would have insisted on Josey's fixing their work. They seem very rushed at this shop- maybe too rushed. read more

I took a couple blouses here last week for minor alterations -- mending seams and adding darts. They were fast and very reasonably priced. I was pretty happy with the results, although I would have asked for a small adjustment on one of the blouses if they had been less busy. The whole operation was a bit chaotic and since the work was good enough, I just took my garments and left. I would probably return, perhaps when prom season is over and things quiet down. read more

They told me they do same day service so i brought my wedding gown in to 1)be taken in a size 2)have the eyelet portion of the clip replaced 3)add a bustle to the back. All they did was take it in and they didn't even take it in as much as they were suppose to! They never called me to pick it up, i called them almost a week later asking about it and they said oh uh we called! No, no you did not. So i pick it up and they give it to me on an old metal hanger, not the hanger i brought it in on (the hanger from the bridal store). Then they rush me out the door. Where the bustles were suppose to be, were still the pins they placed during my consultation! one of the ribbon straps used to hang the dress was missing and it was still too big so i kept having to pull it up all throughout my wedding. They also never replaced the eyelet like they were suppose to. Almost $200 gone and when i tried to call, suddenly no one knew english. I am NOT happy with them and their poor service! read more
