I used to come here a lot but they have been more about quantity versus quantity. The last 2 dresses I got hemmed were uneven. One of my formal gowns was way too short and not the length they pinned. Prices have increased drastically. Disappointed and hope they care more soon. read more

The service is quick. The people are very rude. I asked to get a shirt fixed I got on Etsy because the stitching was made to tight and the rest of the shirt big on me. It is a crop top. When I gave it to the owner Joseph she said the makers do that for skinny girls but it would not work for me because I am fat. Then she said she would fix it. I stayed quiet not to be rude. She fixes it and does what she said is a blind stitching. The blind stitch is does not look too good and looks like there are dents shaped like circles in the bottom of the shirt. So I simply requested she add the original stitching just have it not so tight and she became combative going back and forth. Stating she did blind stitching to stretch it. I explained that it was great with the stretch because now it fits like the rest of the shirt but the appearance of the stitching makes it looks like there's holes and if she could please fix it. She then says I need to order my clothes bigger and I explain to her the shirt is already big at the top and fits fine and the stitching is the issue. She then says to a worker to fix it for "this girl" and I backed away and just stayed quiet and calm and paid and left. I do not recommend this place. They are very rude and disrespectful. I am not this big fat girl and even if I was heavy it doesn't give her the right to body shame. I would not recommend her services. read more

My suit jacket is destroyed and I got yelled at for it for some reason she was really rued, yelled at me, kept saying to me "you people always do this" which was really racist and offensive. She did not offer me a refund for my suit jacket and still made me pay for my pants And then she yelled to me "never come back here again" This is the exact opposite of how you handle a problem or situation in a business. I came here to get my prom dress fixed since it was too long on me, the dress was ready on time but once I came to pick it up the dress was missing a lot of rhinestones and ornaments it had, these rhinestones weren't missing the day I left it at the store to get fixed, I asked the manager to see what she could do for me and she simply said they couldn't do anything for me, after I payed over 500$ for the dress itself and I payed 100$ for the reparation, there was also not organization whatsoever with orders, I didn't get a order receipt or any backup, this place was expensive and I wouldn't recommend it at all to anyone! Bought that pair of pants that you just loved when you saw them at the store, but when you got home you realized they were too long? Well, have no fear, Josey's here! This place really is great! It's a small mom/pop place in the far corner of Plaza del Sol by Ross, but it really is one of the few gems of the place. All the staff members are hard at work when you walk in, but one of them will immediately stop and give you their full on attention. They'll ask you what it is that you want, and after you explain they'll have you go in the fitting room and put on the article of clothing. After that you'll be brought to a mirror where they'll make the adjustment and that's it. Depending on what it is, it may take as short as 15 minutes. (I know that's how long it took for pant hemming) They're also very inexpensive, with a hem costing you nothing more than $6.99!! That's crazy awesome. Seriously, this place is great! If you ever find yourself stuck in Kissimmee with really long pants and need them to be fixed ASAP, Josey's Alteration is the place. One of the few places of value in the plaza for sure! The whole staff is very friendly and very likeable and they want to make sure that they help you with whatever it is you need. Honestly, they really look like they enjoy what they do every day. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING. This is not Josey's anymore they are located on Fortune rd! It switched to new owners and it shows I had been going to the location under the assumption that it was Josey's Alterations and they do not inform you otherwise that they have changed management/ ownership.The last few times has not been a pleasant experience and I noticed the price keeps going up. In a rush for services I still proceeded with the transaction.This day(12/5/22) I came in needing alterations for a holiday dress. My neighbor came as well as we are attending the same event and she also needed alterations. I tried my dress on and advised the new owner what I needed. I needed the dress hemmed, and the split higher and Jaileen suggested one strapped shortened. I proceeded to check out and was told my alterations could not be completed until Thursday or Friday. The original owner of this shop would do alterations the same day if she was not crowded. The daughter of the new owner( Jaileen) advised me my alterations would cost me a total of $96 to include taxes. I was taken aback by the price and my neighbor responded that was more than the price of dress. I responded "I have been coming here for years and this is probably the most you all have ever charged me." The daughter keeps saying "it's okay...it's okay. I said "no, it's really not". In attempt to salvage the negotiations I ask how much just for the strap adjustment and higher split she gives another price just as outlandishly overpriced as the first price of 50 plus tax. At this point highly frustrated I stated "Give me my sh@!" The daughter said "I did not have to say that" the only fault I will take in the situation as I allowed this younger female who did not understand the importance of a loyal customer that they we sure to lose. The young lady still proceeds to say "it's okay we have plenty of customers!" I said "well you just lost one !". My neighbor asked for her dress back and the daughter all but threw the dress at her. Her mother was with her and was planning to come get her dress altered. After I left Jaileen's Alterations, I noticed the name change. I call my friend and ask her since when did Josey's switch to Jaileen's and proceeded to tell her what just occurred. She was upset as she too goes to Josey's on 1934 Fortune Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34744. She told me go there because that one is typically better. I proceed to go there. The line was long, but I patiently waited. The one and only Josey finally got to me and I took my neighbor's dress and asked for her alterations. Josey asked me to try on my dress. I proceed to tell her what I need and she proceeded to pin me up and offered better suggestions for split to be heightened requiring less hemming at the bottom. Without asking she said I can fix it today if you wait. While she is still pinning me up. I asked her when she sold her plaza del sol location as I usually went to that location, but I noticed the name change and proceeded to come here. She lightly chuckled and proceeded to tell me. She and her husband split a little over 3 years ago and he wanted that location. She said he was having an affair with the lady who now runs that location, Jaileen. I assumed it still belonged to her as I always saw her husband. I proceeded with my transaction. It took Josey all of 40 mins or less to complete alterations and she charged me $30 taxes included for 2 dresses. Jaileen's alterations is a business built on the back of another's woman's hard work and reputation that she is potentially ruining with her customer service and mediocre alterations skills. Please go visit the real Josey's on Fortune rd. After speaking with a few people we all assumed Plaza del Sol was still Josey's. I do not write post normally bashing customer service but Jaileen's is tarnishing another person business, the real Josey's Alterations. read more

I needed 2 dresses altered. My usual tailor relocated during Covid so, after reading reviews I decided to try Josey's Alterations. I dropped my dresses off 12 days before I needed them. They told me it would be a week. I put the dresses on- one was about 2 sizes too big, the other was about 8" too long. The woman pinned the hem and used chalk on the other dress. I asked to keep the extra fabric on the dress being hemmed and the lady said sure. They changed me $30 to size down the dress (a fine price for the work needed) and $20 to hem the other one which was super steep since it was a simple thin cotton fabric that just needed a hem. They make you pre-pay. I come back a week later and they hand me my dresses and try to make me pay again. No, I prepaid. They say "okay. Bye!" I ask if I should try them on and where the leftover material was. They didn't know (they eventually found it after searching in a scrap pile) and when I saw them, I knew that something was wrong. I go and try the dresses on and the one that needed to be taken in was fine but the simple one that needed to be hemmed 8"? It had only been hemmed 3"! I come out of the fitting room and tell them it's wrong. The guy says "it's fine" and when I said it wasn't he answered "okay we'll fix it. Come back next Monday" It's a week to do 2 dresses and now a week to fix your mistake? I needed the dress for this weekend so I waited and they fixed it then while talking about me in Spanish in front of me (I don't look like I speak Spanish but I do). They did give me the fabric back but because they screwed up the first time it's now in 2 pieces and I can't use it for the project I had intended. TL;DR- pricey alterations, hit or miss quality, didn't follow directions/pins that they placed, no apology for incorrect/incomplete work. read more

i've been to not only the fortune location but the other location on 192 in kissimmee as well. when i want to the one on 192, josey herslef did the alterations on my wedding dress, she ended up charging me 170.00 to fix my dress, however she ended up not fixing it she damages it. it was still to long and now had holes in the bottom i broke down crying my dress was ruined. they did an ok job on some of the last-minute details for one of my very pregant bridesmaids dress (josey had no part in them). now fast forward a few months my husband didnt know taht the fortune location was the same owener as the other location on 192 so he took my work unifroms there to be hemmed they did an ok job. he was over charged (80$ for 5 pants) and the pants where not all completed the way, i needed them done but of course he didnt check them still paid and left no promble whatever. today my nephew took my pants in to be fixed again because one of them that was (fixed) befoer riped due to the poor job the first time. just as he gives the pants in and lets them know what he would like done and pay's again for the same thing to be done. josey tells him, these pants can't be yours, he replies with no they are my titi's! she say's, "wow she fat" she needs to lose weight if she doesn't, she's going to die!!
