I own a vacation home in Thibodaux, LA that is often booked with AirBnB guests. Today, we had someone go to the house to check on something for us as we live out of town. When our person arrived, Mr. Jose Garcia was doing some work at the house next door and had his electric tools plugged into our electric outlet without permission.
Caught and not sure how to react, he gave our person his business card and told him that was willing to pay for usage or offer us dinner. Can someone please tell me something? If he had not been caught stealing power, would he have left a note at the house or tried to find the property owner to rectify his error? No. He was being paid to provide a service at the house next door and was too unprofessional to provide his own power sources (for example-gas up his own generator) and provide his own power source for his job. We were not being paid for the job he was performing.
Why would we want dinner in exchange for stolen power? He should have at least offered his business services to us and tried to barter or something. This is just unacceptable. While I have his business card and contact information, I feel like he really violated us and needed to vent my frustration before I reach out to him. If he steps up and handles this matter to our satisfaction, I will update my review.
For now, this is a head's up that his business steals power resources. read more
