He gave me 3 names. Dr. Wostein was the closest. When I called his office to explain the pain, they said come over now. Dr Wostein took me quickly and treated my toe efficiently, explaining what he was doing and how I needed to care for it going forward. They are a very responsive and caring practice. And now my foot isn't killing me. Yay!

I visited Dr. Gilchrist to get a second opinion for something podiatry-related. I felt like she…read morereally knew what she was talking about. She was also really quick and to the point. I think she also is understanding about the high costs of podiatry care, and tried to explain less expensive ways to treat different podiatry problems. Her receptionist was rather gruff, but I was happy to get in and out quickly with some medical advice that seemed accurate and helpful to me.

He spends a good deal of time with me, and his work is exemplary. When I tell you I walk out feeling like I have brand new feet I'm not exaggerating. I went to the doctor for a pair of custom orthotics for my feet. The doctor assured me that if I…read morehad any issues that I could call the office. Specifically, I wanted the orthotics adjusted so one was thicker than the other. I called the office to explain that I wanted one orthotic for one foot made a bit thicker. However, my request was met with resistance by the doctor's female assistant who insisted I return to his office for an office visit in order to accomplish this. This new requirement of an additional office visit was not consistent with what Dr. Vess had told me initially: that I could call to provide feedback and request any adjustment to my new orthotics. I think requiring me to again travel to his office, PAY for another office visit, just to accomplish this simple adjustment to my custom made orthotics was overreaching and unnecessary. I will NEVER go back to him for this reason. Doc: get a better gatekeeper who understands how patients are affected by this abhorrent practice. You're trying to milk me and the insurance just so you can get income from another office visit, which is TOTAL bull.

I went to see Dr. Facaros for the first time today. About 3 months ago, both my knees decided they…read morewere done doing all the things knees should do, like being pain-free and keeping me stable when I'm on my feet. While I just started a new thing to try to improve them, a side effect has been to make my feet hurt more than they ever have, to the point that I feel like I'm walking, painfully, on little river rocks. Ouch, so much. I went to a different foot doctor a month or 2 ago, and I left feeling that he had helped me not at all, and that it was time for him to retire. But I saw the rave reviews for Dr. Facaros, and I decided to give him a try. Well, let me tell you, Dr. Facaros is THE guy!! He bounced into the exam room and greeted me like he'd known me for years, so I was instantly comfortable. Here's how down to earth he is: HE took off my shoes and socks, and, noting a little mud on one of them, HE CLEANED IT OFF THE SHOE. I was astounded. He told me ( the other guy did NOT) that I have not only flat feet, but incredibly flat feet. The bad news is, it's permanent and won't get better. BUT, he gave me great advice, such as getting better shoes, including specific shoes to check out. Then he explained about shoe inserts and the correct one to help my feet particularly, and the alternative of custom-made inserts, and the prices of each. And guess what? He DID NOT try to talk me into buying a bunch of expensive stuff! Not only that, he actually GAVE me a set of the proper inserts. Yeah, GAVE!! Because he saw how much I needed help. Now that''s a great doctor, and a damned good person as well. When I need to, he's the guy I'll be going to see, and meantime, I'll be telling EVERYONE about this great doctor!!

I was impressed with the in-office X-rays and that they were able to send me home with an ankle brace that day to try and help with my symptoms. I felt that my concerns were addressed and questions were answered. My biggest issue was the amount of time that this appointment took. I wasn't taken back to a room until about half an hour after my appointment. It was another long wait for a medical assistant to come back and review my medical history and vitals. Then they took me for X-rays and another wait for the doctor. After the doctor came in, I waited for another staff member to come with a brace to fit it and instruct me on wear and use. By the time that I left my 9 AM appointment, it was noon. Thankfully, my work schedule can be somewhat flexible, but I still found myself stressing about the time because we started the whole process late even after I showed up early to make sure all paperwork was done.
