Do you have a satellite office in Pittsburgh or Penn Hills or Montoeville?

Unfortunately the practice does not at this time, only the Steubenville Pike location. Thank you for your interest, we appreciate the consideration.

Working in a blue-collar job can punish the feet, especially if you've spent the last 10 years…read morestuck in a warehouse job which requires at least 8 hours of standing and walking per day on concrete as unforgiving as a hanging judge. Several weeks ago, I began experiencing pains in both of my feet that ranged from dull to sharp and worsened as the days wore on. After trying to wear insoles in my boots and swallowing Advil tablets to little effect, I made an appointment with Allegheny Podiatry Foot & Ankle. Once some x-rays were taken, Dr. Stan Bosta -- an extremely amicable, engaging, gentle, and warm fellow-- diagnosed me with arthritis in my feet as well as some foot fungus. He then wrote me a prescription for a medication to take away the pain and swelling, gave me samples of an antibiotic cream for the rash, and directed me to a nearby shoe store named Gordon's for some custom, premium orthotics with a coupon good for a 10% discount on my purchase. Before I left, Dr. Bosta even shaved a nasty, craggy callous off of my left hallux that had been nagging me for months, painlessly using a scalpel as if he were a sous chef casually peeling a potato. "It's gone!" I happily blurted out. "Yeah, how 'baht that?" Dr. Bosta replied with a Pittsburgh accent. "That thing was ugly too." In the 24 hours since my visit, I can feel a marked improvement in my comfort and gait. Dr. Bosta doesn't "putzy arahnd," as we say in Steel City. If you're hurtin' and have lost your strut, he'll get you back... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06Oo_TpZC8A

As a…read moreresult, we received a bill from the doctor for $400 In a phone conversation, an Anthem representative informed me, that the claim was denied, because the visit concerned bunions, which are not covered. The office took an xray of her foot and the doctor performed a procedure on the sole of her foot. The doctor did not address the bunion. In speaking with Tina , the billing agent for Greentree Foot and Ankle, she agreed that the doctor did a procedure, that did not involve the bunion, but because my wife mentioned her bunions, that is the way the claim has to be coded, I told Tina, that the claim needs to be resubmitted, with different codes, to reflect the actual procedure. Keep in mind, the doctor did not perform a procedure on the bunion, but on the sole of my wife's foot. Tina's response was that resubmitting with different codes would be fraud, because bunions came up in conversation between my wife and the doctor.

I was DEVASTATED to find out after X-rays that I had broken my foot in not one, not two but THREE places and needed a cast put on that I'd have to wear for about 3 months. Way to kill the rest of the summer... But maybe don't wear 4 inch wedge heels if you know you are clumsy :) He always took good care of me and was informative. You have to listen closely or ask him to repeat, because he has a tendency to talk really fast. But again, he's super nice, so he will. I would highly recommend him if you find yourself needing a foot doctor. Also, I was able to choose a hot pink cast, so that made the situation slightly better.
