Have you ever gone for dental work with an estimated total cost of nearly $6,000 and the dentist…read moreyelled at you?
I will only give 2 stars because the receptionist is considerate. For the rest, the doctor may not get any stars. Why? I've been here a couple times to have my teeth cleaned and filled. I haven't really seen how good the doctor is yet, but I really don't like the way the doctor communicates with patients, and I'm sure some people don't like it too (especially Vietnamese patient). Doctors will always criticize the way patients take care of their teeth, embarrassing them; While working, she will always talk privately with her employees. Any questions you have about the prices or questions about your teeth's health will always receive short, cursory answers, combined with her unconcerned answering attitude.
I have questions about braces, quotation and ask how to do it. The only answer I received was that the braces time would be about 8-9 months in my case, that's it. In addition, NO procedures were clearly explained or advised to help me understand more about braces, or the difficulties I would encounter, so that I could mentally prepare. So, I have started with less knowledge about what going on. She sent me to another doctor's office for a "cepth" scan (the office very far in York, maybe they are connecting with this office), and scheduled me to come in today to have my braces installed.
Yes, 3 years procedure is starting and I know nothing (which I didn't know it will take 3 years), event how to take care while wearing braces.
Because I was quite worried, I asked a few questions about procedures, warranty and a few other things with the receptionist. Then I received the answer that after removing the braces, I must continue to wear the "retention" 24/24 for another year, and then when I confirmed with the doctor, I received another answer that I must wear retention for 2 years after removing braces. I was really surprised and asked the doctor why I didn't know this information.
The story begins from here, the doctor begins to express her attitude and says "everyone knows this". Seriously?? I have never had braces, and have not had any information from her office about psychological preparation. And she always said that she had said or might had not finished talking about it in a very angry manner. And she always blamed me for not reading the consent form about this service clearly. Again, seriously??? The "Consent form" I received only talked about possible provisions during the implementation process, not details about what she would do. When I asked again and tried to explain to her that there was no consent, she showed an attitude, booed and banged things on the table (if there is camera, you will see how she acted). I don't think this is the right attitude for a doctor to have with a patient. She keeps repeat that she had opened this business for 25 years and knew what she had to do. But really, with that way of working and attitude, I think I should speak up to make people more alert.
I'm Vietnamese and she's also Vietnamese, but her behavior towards Vietnamese customers is really rude and disrespectful (I've heard some people complain), today I really see that. There are many dentists' offices nowadays, and if she sees that, she should change her working attitude. Not because the doctor is old and has been worked for 25 years doesn't mean she can attitude towards younger patients. I'm really disappointed today after having to wait 45 minutes and receive her wrath.
Will never return and warn people around me about this office.behaviour
