Why didn't I come to Petaluma Community Acupuncture sooner?!…read more I came here for plantar fasciitis (aka the worst) after trying everything my doctor recommended with minimal improvement. A friend suggested this place, and I'm so glad I listened. Total game changer. I started seeing Elizabeth and Steven, who set me up on a twice-a-week plan for a few weeks, then once a week after that, and it actually worked. My pain dropped dramatically, and I began looking forward to each session. If you've never been to a community-style acupuncture clinic, it might feel a little different at first: a big, peaceful room filled with recliners (each with its own colorful sheet) and everyone in full relaxation mode. You get comfy, they pop in the needles, and suddenly you're in the most blissful nap of your life. Elizabeth (the owner) and Steven are both amazing - super knowledgeable, collaborative, and they actually read your chart and adjust your treatment each time based on how you're feeling. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients. I hear Mackenzie is awesome, too. My daughter saw her and loved her experience! Payment is on a sliding scale after your first visit, which makes it easy to keep up with treatment. And don't miss the adorable little shop out front. I may have gone overboard on crystals, but hey, good energy never hurts! Once you go here to Petaluma Community Acupuncture, you'll walk out feeling lighter, calmer, and wondering why you didn't start sooner.

But the lady was very nice and greeted me. She told me the pricing since they didn't really have a price sheet. Today was focused on pain under and around my scapula. Lisa used standard acupuncture pins for the pain outside the scapula. But for the first time she used healing sounds to go UNDER my scapula as well. By the end of the "1 hour" treatment my pain level dropped from an 8 to closer to a 2. This after almost 4 weeks of pain. It was like magic! My time invested with Lisa has paid off over the long run, but today it was totally focused on the "now." I'm not pain-free, but for today I am aggravation free! Update: it's 24 hours later and the pain under and around my scapula is no more annoying than any other part of my body.
