DON'T WORK WITH THIS DOCTOR. He is STUCK UP and RUDE. I had this surgeon remove my wisdom teeth. I woke up having a terrible panic attack, due to my anxiety disorder, which the doctors were informed about pre-surgery. As I began hyperventilating I repeatedly asked for my father to come upstairs, in hopes he'd calm me down. Dr. Sciarrino began telling me to shut my mouth and that I'm overreacting. The surgery was over at this time, so the nurses didn't see a problem with my parent coming in to comfort me, yet Dr. Sciarrino repeatedly yelled at me to shut my mouth. This is an incredibly nasty, stuck-up doctor who thinks he can talk to his patients however he wants. He is an absolute manchild, who's previously made a public fuss about needing his paycheck for the surgery right as we signed in, then having to wait an extra hour for him to "calm down". I will make sure your public image is severely damaged after the way you treated me, and treated my family in the past. read more

I had several teeth extracted, including wisdom teeth, a broken tooth, and an ingrown tooth. After the extractions, I received two implants. I was very nervous going into the entire procedure as I have been a very nervous dental patient in my life - often avoiding dentist visits for years on end. My experience with Dr. Sciarrino was fantastic. The extractions were completely painless, and I had no post-procedure pain or discomfort whatsoever. I stopped taking pain medication within 24 hours because there was no pain - and I was back to work and exercise just 1 or 2 days later. Same experience with the implants. I am so relieved that I was referred to Dr. Sciarrino. So to be VERY clear! I am NOT a frequent flyer at the dentist office! I've never even had so much as a cavity in my 30+ years of living! No braces growing up NOTHING! outside of yearly cleanings and X-rays. I'm basically a catholic saint when it comes to teeth. However I was horrified to find out I had to have ALL 4 of my wisdom teeth removed last year during my routine yearly cleanings and x-ray exam with my regular dentist. For YEARS I had a very good dentist who told me "hey if they don't bother you, you don't bother them" type deal with my wisdom teeth. So after seeing a new dentist he told me I had NO CHOICE, but to have them removed because they were pushing against my other teeth and 1 wisdom tooth was already impacted! I was referred to some young hot shot know it all dentist who had all kinds of fancy drone shots of his dental practice in Norwalk plastered all over his website. Well suffice to say Mr. hot shot dentist literally wasted 2 hours of my time, $500.00 dollars in a consultation fee and some fancy over the top additional NOT COVERED by insurance 3D X-ray. He told me there was no way he could remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth he could MAYBE at BEST remove 3 and I would likely experience more pain than I had ever experienced in my life and possible nerve damage in my jaw and face. If I wanted to be put to sleep the extraction would have to be done in A HOSPITAL! because for whatever reason he was afraid to give me anesthesia in his office. On top of a dental bill well OVER $2500 dollars WITH insurance. The guy was a real bozo! I left that dentist office crying, petrified, and confused as to what to do next! A friend referred me to Dr. Sciarrino! He took ONE look at my BASIC covered by insurance X-rays shrugged his shoulders and said I'll have ALL 4 of these wisdom teeth out in 90 minutes you go home come back in a week I'll take the stitches out and you'll never see me again! Pain? What pain? You see all these medical degrees on my wall! Never mind those! In all his years of practice he's never had someone experience excessive pain or complications from his wisdom teeth removal. As perfect and straight as my teeth are my wisdom teeth were no walk in the park! I had 1 impacted, 1 on its way to being impacted, with nerves going through it. The other two were easy removals. I don't even think Dr. Sciarrino asked me if I wanted to proceed with his services or not he just smiled walked me to the front desk had one of the ladies schedule me in and said see you in a month and by the way get a COVID Test before you come here for surgery because ain't nobody got time for that! I paid my bill in full with the office a week before surgery I was told the cost it would be ahead of time so I planned out my finances accordingly and the cost to Dr. Sciarrino was a little over $1,000 bucks and that was only because of the anesthesia! Most if not all dental insurance plans do not cover anesthesia! I do not like pain or any kind of discomfort. I told Dr. Sciarrino during the surgery prep I wanted whatever the stuff was that Michael Jackson got PLUS TAX! None of that laughing Gas, awake, but not awake, twilight stuff! if I ended up playing checkers with Michael Jackson in the day room of Heaven then so be it I wanted to feel No pain! Dr. Sciarrino removed all my wisdom teeth, sent me home with directions and the basic pain and antibiotic prescriptions! I didn't even take the pain killers. Extra strength Tylenol was more then enough to keep me comfortable I had NO excessive bleeding, NO excessive pain nor discomfort! I went back a week later had the stitches taken out and true to his word I haven't seen him since! The most annoying part of this whole process was I couldn't eat my Sourdough Nibbler Pretzels for 2 months after the surgery while the extraction sites healed. I say all of that to say if you have to beg, borrow, and steal to find the money to see Dr. Sciarrino then you do just that! Dip into your kids college funds, refinance your house whatever you need to do just get to Dr. Sciarrino and do not waste your time or money with any other dentist! Starting from childhood and carry with me to this day, I consider myself one of the most terrified of people when it comes to dentists and oral surgeons. Dr. Sciarrino understands my fears, takes the time to thoroughly review x-rays with me and explains every detail of what will be done. I discovered Dr. Sciarrino in the late 1990's and have seen him a few times since. After the first five minutes within my first consultation I knew I found the right oral surgeon. Back in the 90's I had extensive damage from an incompetent dentist who failed to properly execute a root canal. He did not inform me of this nor what problems it could cause in the future. It resulted in a low grade infection which ate away at my upper jaw. Additionally, the infection spread and damaged the bone of the jaw on both sides of the original tooth. All this information was far beyond what I thought would happen. When Dr. Sciarrino examined me it was determined bone graphs would be needed from my lower jaw to rebuild my upper jaw. He placed 3 implants within the new bone grafts. Completing the process was a long one. It took about a year but every moment was worth it. Over 20 years out I haven't had one problem with the implants. Dr. Sciarrino is a kind, genuine, helpful, relaxed and friendly doctor. He answers all questions without rushing through them. The service and attention he provides makes one feel as if they are his only appointment. His staff is far beyond staffs we currently see in other offices today. It appears he's handpicked the best of the best to run his office. Either he or one of his office staff will check in with his patients the day after the procedures and will take additional calls during one's recovery. My next appointment is on the 6th and I know I will have no fear or apprehension the days leading up to it or as I walk in. I know I couldn't be in better hands. I would encourage anyone to visit Dr. Sciarinno. You won't find better. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Worst staff, very unprofessional , can barely speak english and they don't even have a billing department. And they refuse to send my claims to the insurance because Rosa says she does not want to deal with it. Do not ever go here because they will try to rob you off your own money out of pocket. Excellent oral surgeon!! I went to see him for an emergency (I injured my inside lower lip at the gym, freak accident and needed stitches). He was kind enough to squeeze me in same day and took great care of me. His office staff worked with my insurance and got it approved right away so I didn't have to wait. I went back to him for an overdue wisdom tooth extraction and I woke up from the procedure not even knowing he finished!! There was no pain, even the next day,!! I didn't even need to take Tylenol. I recommend him without any hesitation. Regarding these other reviews, his staff speaks English perfectly (I don't understand why anyone would say otherwise and I am a US born native English speaker.) I was impressed at how his staff was able to help me get the most out of my insurance and how quickly they received approvals. His staff is caring and knowledgable. I would like to comment on the comment of the doctor. I never had a monthly payment plan. I made a one time payment with my card. That doesn't in anyway give anyone the right to go back and use that card without permission. I was not on an auto pay plan. If I was it wouldn't have taken two mo the for that money to be taken off it would have been monthly. And I did call. I left a message. I even stopped in. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Went for a consultation regarding wisdom teeth pain & he clearly runs an extraction mill for $. 1. He was unnecessarily pushing for all 4 teeth to be removed. 2. Did not give me an xray, based his treatment plan on a 2 year old xray I provided. 3. Was completely apathetic about my desire for alternative medication & anesthesia so that I may continue to breast feed. 4. Charged me $177 for a 15 minute consultation. 5.
