Our initial meeting with Gallagher back in 2015 was short, straightforward and an information…read moreoverload. We expected this. We were then assigned a caseworker, David and from 2015 - 2018 had all of our communication with him, never with John Gallagher. David was helpful, walked us through the process and answered our questions without hesitation. He was caring and understood that we as clients were confused about the process and he communicated with us in a manner that put us at ease. As the years progressed we were assigned another caseworker, Miguel from 2019 - 2020. Miguel was a straight edge caseworker. Answered our questions, provided us with dates and information, but not much else. He wasn't personable, he wasn't comforting nor was he very understanding of our requests. Was this a bad aspect? Not necessarily, but it is my belief that if you are going to be in this line of work, working with people and the road to citizenship, it should be done with compassion and understanding.
2020 came and the pandemic hit. Communication between Gallagher law offices and us was few and far between. We were at a standstill in the process. My wife and I both assumed that we would have our green card by this year, 5 years later. COVID put a dent in our plans. During this time we were assigned a new caseworker, Ana Williams; this is the moment most of the issues we have with Gallagher law offices began.
Ana Williams is the kind of person who treats you like crap in the nicest way possible. She sugar coats her condescending emails and calls with a tone that sounds nice. Ana was unhelpful in our times of need, was unable to provide us with pertinent information, pertinent dates and if she couldn't answer a question would try to make us feel like the question being asked wasn't important. At the beginning of 2022 we received our interview appointment in Juarez. Anyone who goes through this process and will go through this process should know this is the moment of truth, this is the moment we had been waiting for since 2015.
This was supposed to be a time where information was relayed to us, where we were put at ease, where our concerns and questions were answered respectfully, truthfully and genuinely. Ana never did that. Speaking on the phone with her was like speaking to a stone wall. She was short, abrupt and many times when she was unable to assist would hang up on us. She has no respect for clients, no respect for people in situations like this and is inconsiderate about the feelings, and emotions that we as clients were having at the time. Ana belittles clients and has a hard time admitting when she is wrong; we confronted Ana about this, voicing our concerns and hoping that her lack of professionalism would do a 180, but that never happened. We've never felt more disrespected by a person who is supposed to be there to help you that we have in this situation with Ana.
Here is a prime example of her personality. Ana sends us an email requesting a list of documents that we must send her. We sent that information to her in a google drive link. Soon thereafter she responds requesting additional information, stating that we are holding up the process due to not following her guidelines. How so? We sent the exact documents, being sure to double and triple check that we are not missing anything. I even took a screenshot of exactly what she requested. Instead of admitting fault she belittles us, ignores our calls, or is downright rude.
February of 2022 we had our first in person meeting with John Gallagher since 2015. Let's just say Ana and John seemed unprepared for our meeting. File folders would be brought in, only for them to see that something was missing. They would leave the room, gather the documents, come back in, only to find again that documents were missing. We sat in a cold barren office room alone more of the time than we did with John and Ana. The information presented in the meeting wasn't anything different than you can find on youtube by searching "how to prepare for your visa interview."
I'll wrap this review up by saying this, we are happy that we received our green card, but completely and utterly disappointed with the customer service we received from Gallagher Law offices Inc. The people you hire reflect the overall business and Ana represents Gallagher Law offices and the practices and policies the office put in place regarding interactions with clients. I would never recommend a potential client to Gallagher Law offices due to the lack of respect that the employees of this practice have. Do yourself a favor, save yourself many sleepless nights and days of headaches by looking at another law office.
