Huntington Asphalt

Huntington Asphalt, Owner Greg Ness, and his crew did a top notch job on my rural Northwestern Ohio…read moreresidential driveway in Mid-May of 2026. It was a 2-day project due to a heavy rain at 4p on the 1st day - but everything looks good. We did 2" of base with a 1" top layer. Asphalt was much thicker along sides. Great job for a great price. Thanks!

I had my driveway replaced by Huntington Asphalt in April 2026. The crew showed up on time,…read morefinished in a morning, and the driveway looked good at first. Within days, water was pooling across the bottom of the driveway and sitting there. I texted the owner photos, and he confirmed in writing: "Yes, there is a low spot in your driveway. We will come back and fix it." I appreciated that. When I asked if they'd need to take it out, he replied, "No, we need to add some to it to push the water to the street." I asked if it would match, and he said there would be a slight shade difference, but once it was seal coated "you shouldn't really see much at all." When I asked again to make sure it would match after seal coating, he said I was asking him to "guarantee 150%." The overlay was done in late May. Today I had the seal coating done, and it's clear how much the visibility was downplayed. This isn't a "slight shade difference." It's an obvious patch slapped on the end of the driveway that honestly looks bad. The texture doesn't match, the edges don't blend, there's a seam running along the side, and the bottom still holds water, which was the whole reason for the repair. What would have made this right: getting the grade correct the first time, and when there was a low spot, cutting it out and regrading it instead of layering asphalt on top. Most of all, being straight with me up front that the patch would always be visible, so I could have made an informed decision instead of being told it would blend in. I'd recommend saving your money and hiring someone else.
