This has also to do with the pacing, with Japanese tempo: four ultra tasty snacks in quick succession (chili cheese balls blew me away even though the oyster snacky things that came first would have been at home in a 3* restaurant) followed by four more dishes at a leisurely pace. These included the craziest langoustine ever (gratinert and the head and claws blowtorched in a wooden wine box with a glass lid!) Some very interesting Japanese beers to choose from and a comprehensive wine list that we didn't look at. Very friendly attentive service too. Some of their "spicy" food is not spicy at all however my Thai red curry chicken that was unmarked would in my book be classified as "slightly spicy". Same goes for Biff Gongbao which as marked "slightly spicy", was not spicy at all! Still everything taste amazing (although not as expected)! When it comes to the service I am always pleased. The staff is attentive and pleasant and always make sure our glasses is full and that we are having a good time. In fact I was very surprised that the waiter once offered my mom a new dish when she embarrassedly pointed out that her food was not spicy as indicated. Thumbs up to the waiter who really followed through on this something that is very un-Norwegian!
